Coloseni 3

1 Dacă voi, așadar, ați fost înviați împreună cu Cristos, căutați lucrurile de sus, unde Cristos șade la dreapta lui Dumnezeu.

If, therefore, ye have been raised together with the Christ, the things on high, be seeking, where, the Christ, is—on the right hand of God, sitting;

2 Puneți-vă dragostea în cele de sus, nu în cele de pe pământ.

The things on high, hold in esteem, not the things upon the earth:

3 Fiindcă sunteți morți și viața voastră este ascunsă împreună cu Cristos în Dumnezeu.

For ye have died, and, your life, is hid, together with the Christ, in God, —

4 Când Cristos, care este viața noastră, se va arăta, atunci și voi vă veți arăta cu el în glorie.

As soon as, the Christ, shall be made manifest—our life, then, ye also, together with him, shall be made manifest in glory;

5 De aceea ucideți membrele voastre care sunt pe pământ: curvie, necurăție, pasiune necumpătată, poftă rea și lăcomie, care este idolatrie,

Make dead, therefore, your members that are on the earth—as regardeth fornication, impurity, passion, base coveting, and greed, the which, is idolatry, —

6 Fiindcă din cauza acestora vine furia lui Dumnezeu peste copiii neascultării,

On account of which things cometh the anger of God, —

7 În care ați umblat și voi odinioară, când ați trăit în ele.

Wherein, ye also, walked, at one time, when ye were living in these things;

8 Dar acum, puneți deoparte și voi toate acestea: mânie, furie, răutate, blasfemie, vorbire murdară din gura voastră.

But, now, do, ye also, put them all away, —anger, wrath, baseness, defamation, shameful talk out of your mouth:

9 Nu vă mințiți unii pe alții, văzând că v-ați despuiat de omul cel vechi cu faptele lui,

Be not guilty of falsehood one to another: having stript off the old man, together with his practices,

10 Și v-ați îmbrăcat cu omul cel nou, care se înnoiește în cunoaștere după chipul celui ce l-a creat;

And having put on the new—who is being moulded afresh unto personal knowledge, after the image of him that hath created him, —

11 Unde nu este nici grec, nici iudeu, nici circumcizie, nici necircumcizie, barbar, scit, rob sau liber, ci Cristos este totul și în toate.

Wherein there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythian, bond, free, —but, all things and in all, Christ:

12 Îmbrăcați-vă de aceea ca aleșii lui Dumnezeu, sfinți și preaiubiți, cu adâncuri ale îndurărilor, bunătate, umilință a minții, blândețe, îndelungă răbdare,

Put on, therefore, as men chosen of God, holy and beloved, tender affections of compassion, graciousness, lowliness of mind, meekness, long-suffering,

13 Răbdând unii altora și iertând unii altora, dacă cineva are o plângere împotriva cuiva, așa cum și Cristos v-a iertat vouă, faceți și voi la fel.

Bearing one with another, and in favour forgiving one another—if any, against any, have a complaint, —according as, the Lord, in favour forgave you, so also ye;

14 Iar peste toate acestea, îmbrăcați dragoste creștină, care este legătura desăvârșirii.

And, over all these things, love, which is a uniting-bond of completeness;

15 Și pacea lui Dumnezeu să stăpânească în inimile voastre, la care ați și fost chemați într-un [singur] trup, și fiți mulțumitori.

And let, the peace of Christ, act as umpire in your hearts, unto which ye have been called in [one] body, and be thankful:

16 Cuvântul lui Cristos să locuiască abundent în voi, în toată înțelepciunea, învățându-vă și avertizându-vă unii pe alții cu psalmi și imnuri și cântări spirituale, cântând Domnului cu har în inimile voastre.

Let, the word of the Christ, dwell within you richly, —in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another, with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, with gratitude, raising song with your hearts unto God:

17 Și orice faceți în cuvânt sau în faptă, faceți toate în numele Domnului Isus, aducând mulțumiri lui Dumnezeu și Tatălui prin el.

And whatsoever ye may be doing, in word, or in work, all things, [do] in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks unto the Divine Father through him: —

18 Soțiilor, supuneți-vă propriilor voștri soți, așa cum este cuvenit în Domnul.

Ye wives! be submitting yourselves unto your husbands, as is becoming in the Lord;

19 Soților, iubiți-vă soțiile voastre și nu fiți cu amărăciune față de ele.

Ye husbands! be loving your wives, and be not embittered against them;

20 Copiilor, ascultați de părinții voștri în toate, fiindcă aceasta este plăcut Domnului.

Ye children! be obedient unto your parents in all things, for, this, is, well pleasing, in the Lord;

21 Taților, nu vă provocați copiii la mânie, ca nu cumva să se descurajeze.

Ye fathers! be not irritating your children, lest they be disheartened;

22 Robilor, ascultați în toate de stăpânii voștri conform cărnii, nu cu servire de ochii lor, precum cei ce plac oamenilor, ci în simplitatea inimii, temându-vă de Dumnezeu;

Ye servants! be obedient, in all things, unto them who, according to the flesh, are your masters, —not with eye-service, as man-pleasers, but with singleness of heart, revering the Lord, —

23 Și orice faceți, faceți din suflet, ca Domnului și nu ca oamenilor.

Whatsoever ye may be doing, from the soul, be working at it, as unto the Lord, and not unto men, -

24 Știind că de la Domnul veți primi răsplata moștenirii, căci serviți Domnului Cristos.

Knowing that, from the Lord, ye shall duly receive the recompense of the inheritance, —unto the Lord Christ, are ye in service;

25 Dar cel ce face nedreptate va primi pentru nedreptatea pe care a făcut-o; și părtinire nu este.

For, he that acteth unrighteously, shall get back what he had unrighteously done, and there is no respect of persons;
