Faptele 13
1 Și erau în biserica ce era în Antiohia, anumiți profeți și învățători, precum: Barnaba și Simeon, chemat Niger, și Luciu din Cirene și Manaen, care fusese crescut cu Irod, tetrarhul, și Saul.
Now, there were in the congregation that was at Antioch, certain prophets and teachers; particularly, Barnabas, and Simeon, who was called Niger, and Lucius, the Cyrenian, and Manaen, who was educated with Herod, the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 Pe când serveau ei Domnului și posteau, Duhul Sfânt a spus: Puneți-mi deoparte deopotrivă pe Barnaba și Saul pentru lucrarea la care i-am chemat.
And as they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Separate to me Barnabas and Saul, for the work to which I have called them.
3 Și după ce au postit și s-au rugat și au pus mâinile peste ei, i-au trimis.
And having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them; they dismissed them.
4 Așa că aceștia, fiind trimiși de Duhul Sfânt, au plecat la Seleucia; și de acolo au navigat până la Cipru.
They, therefore, being sent by the Holy Spirit, departed to Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus;
5 Și când au ajuns la Salamis, au predicat cuvântul lui Dumnezeu în sinagogile iudeilor; și îl aveau și pe Ioan ca servitor.
and being arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews; and they had also John for their attendant.
6 Și când traversau insula până la Pafos, au găsit un anumit vrăjitor, un profet fals, un iudeu al cărui nume era Bar-Isus;
And having traversed the island, as far as Paphos, they found a certain Jew, a magician and false prophet, whose name was Barjesus;
7 Care era cu proconsulul Sergius Paulus, un bărbat prevăzător; care a chemat pe Barnaba și pe Saul și dorea să audă cuvântul lui Dumnezeu.
who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who calling for Barnabas and Saul desired to hear the word of God.
8 Dar Elima, vrăjitorul, (fiindcă așa este numele lui prin interpretare) li s-a împotrivit, căutând să întoarcă pe proconsul de la credință.
But Elymas, the magician, (for that was his name, when translated, ) withstood them, endeavoring to turn away the proconsul from the faith.
9 Atunci Saul, (care este și Pavel) fiind umplut de Duhul Sfânt și uitându-se cu atenție la el,
Then Saul, (who is also called Paul, ) being filled with the Holy Spirit, and looking steadfastly upon him,
10 A spus: O, tu plin de toată viclenia și de toată ticăloșia, copil al diavolului, dușman a toată dreptatea, nu vei înceta tu să pervertești căile drepte ale Domnului?
said, O! full of all deceit, and of all wickedness! child of the devil! enemy of all righteousness! will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 Și acum, iată, mâna Domnului este peste tine și vei fi orb, nevăzând soarele un timp. Și îndată a căzut peste el ceață și întuneric; și se învârtea căutând pe cineva să îl conducă de mână.
And, behold, now the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, and not see the sun for a time. And, immediately, a mist and darkness fell upon him; and going about, he sought some to lead him by the hand.
12 Atunci, proconsulul, când a văzut ce s-a făcut, a crezut, fiind înmărmurit de doctrina Domnului.
Then the proconsul, seeing what was done, believed; being struck with the doctrine of the Lord.
13 Și după ce Pavel și cei cu el au ridicat ancora din Pafos, au venit la Perga, în Pamfilia; și Ioan, plecând de la ei, s-a întors la Ierusalim.
And loosing from Paphos, they who were with Paul, came to Perga, in Pamphylia; but John withdrew himself from them, and returned to Jerusalem.
14 Și după ce ei au plecat din Perga, au venit la Antiohia, în Pisidia, și au intrat în sinagogă în ziua de sabat și au șezut.
Nevertheless, they, going on from Perga, came to Antioch, in Pisidia: and entering into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, they sat down.
15 Și după citirea legii și a profeților, conducătorii sinagogii au trimis la ei, spunând: Bărbați și frați, dacă este în voi vreun cuvânt de îndemnare pentru popor, spuneți.
And after the reading of the law and the prophets; the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Brethren, if you have any word of exhortation to the people, speak it.
16 Atunci Pavel s-a sculat și, făcând semn cu mâna, a spus: Bărbați ai Israelului și voi care vă temeți de Dumnezeu, ascultați.
Then Paul stood up, and waiving his hand, said, Men of Israel, and you that fear God, hearken.
17 Dumnezeul acestui popor, al lui Israel, a ales pe părinții noștri și a înălțat poporul când locuiau ca străini în țara Egiptului, și cu un braț înalt i-a condus afară din acesta.
The God of this people chose our fathers, and raised the people while sojourning in the land of Egypt; and led them out of it with an uplifted arm.
18 Și timp de aproape patruzeci de ani le-a suferit purtările în pustie.
And for a space of about forty years, he endured their behavior in the wilderness.
19 Și după ce a nimicit șapte națiuni în țara Canaanului, le-a împărțit țara acelora prin sorți.
And having cast out seven nations in the land of Canaan, he distributed their country to them for an inheritance.
20 Și după aceea, le-a dat judecători pe durata a aproape patru sute cincizeci de ani, până la Samuel, profetul.
And after these transactions, which lasted about four hundred and fifty years' he gave them judges, till Samuel the prophet.
21 Și apoi au dorit un împărat; și Dumnezeu le-a dat pe Saul, fiul lui Chiș, un bărbat din tribul lui Beniamin, pe durata a patruzeci de ani.
And, from that time, they desired a king: and God gave them Saul, the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for the term of forty years.
22 Și după ce l-a înlăturat, l-a ridicat pentru ei pe David să fie împăratul lor; căruia i-a și adus mărturie și a spus: L-am găsit pe David, al lui Isai, un bărbat după inima mea, care va împlini toată voia mea.
And, having removed him, he raised up to them David, for a king; whom also he extolled, and said, "I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man according to my own heart, who shall do all my will."
23 Din sămânța acestuia, Dumnezeu, conform promisiunii, a ridicat lui Israel un Salvator, pe Isus;
Of this man's seed, according to the promise, God raised up to Israel, Jesus, the Saviour;
24 Când, înaintea venirii lui, Ioan predicase botezul pocăinței întregului popor al lui Israel;
John having, to introduce his appearance, before he preached the immersion of reformation to all the people of Israel.
25 Și pe când Ioan își împlinea alergarea, spunea: Cine presupuneți că sunt eu? Eu nu sunt acela. Dar, iată, vine unul după mine, ale cărui sandale din picioare nu sunt demn să le dezleg.
And when John was fulfilling his course, he said, Whom do you imagine me to be? I am not He; but behold, there comes one after me, the shoes of whose feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 Bărbați și frați, fii din stirpea lui Avraam și oricare dintre voi care vă temeți de Dumnezeu, vouă vă este trimis cuvântul acestei salvări.
Brethren, children of the family of Abraham, and those among you that fear God; to you is the word of this salvation sent:
27 Fiindcă toți cei ce locuiesc în Ierusalim și conducătorii lor nu l-au cunoscut, și vocile profeților care sunt citite în fiecare sabat, le-au împlinit, condamnându-l.
for the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and their rulers, not knowing him, nor the sayings of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath day; have fulfilled them in condemning him.
28 Și cu toate că nu au găsit nicio vină de moarte în el, totuși i-au cerut lui Pilat ca el să fie ucis.
And though they could find no cause of death in him; yet they requested Pilate that he might be executed.
29 Și după ce au împlinit tot ce era scris despre el, l-au luat jos de pe lemn și l-au pus într-un mormânt.
And when they had accomplished all things that were written concerning him; taking him down from the cross, they laid him in a tomb.
30 Dar Dumnezeu l-a înviat dintre morți;
But God raised him up from the dead:
31 El a fost văzut multe zile de cei ce au urcat cu el din Galileea la Ierusalim, care sunt martorii lui pentru popor.
and he appeared for several days to those that came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people.
32 Și noi vă predicăm vești îmbucurătoare, că promisiunea făcută pentru părinți,
And we bring you good tidings, that the very promise which was made to the fathers,
33 A împlinit-o Dumnezeu față de noi, copiii lor, în aceea că a înviat pe Isus, precum și este scris în psalmul al doilea: Tu ești Fiul meu, astăzi te-am născut.
God has accomplished to us, their children, in raising up Jesus: as it is also written in the second Psalm, "Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee."
34 Iar pentru că l-a înviat dintre morți, să nu se mai întoarcă la putrezire, a spus astfel: Vouă vă voi da îndurările sigure ale lui David.
And because he has raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus, "I will give you the sure mercies of David."
35 De aceea și spune în alt psalm: Nu vei da pe Sfântul tău să vadă putrezirea.
Wherefore, also, in another place he says, "Thou wilt not permit thy Holy One to see corruption."
36 Fiindcă David, după ce a servit propriei sale generații prin voia lui Dumnezeu, a adormit și a fost adăugat lângă părinții săi și a văzut putrezirea;
Now David, having served his own generation according to the will of God; fell asleep, and was gathered to his fathers, and saw corruption.
37 Dar el, pe care Dumnezeu l-a înviat, nu a văzut putrezire.
But he whom God raised up, did not see corruption.
38 Să vă fie cunoscut așadar, bărbați și frați, că prin acesta vă este predicată iertarea păcatelor;
Be it known, therefore, to you, brethren, that by Him remission of sins is proclaimed to you:
39 Și prin el, toți care cred sunt declarați drepți din toate lucrurile, din care nu puteți fi declarați drepți prin legea lui Moise.
and by Him, every one that believes is justified from all things; from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40 De aceea păziți-vă ca nu cumva să vină peste voi ce este spus în profeți:
See to it, therefore, that what is spoken in the prophets may not come upon you:
41 Priviți disprețuitorilor și minunați-vă și pieriți, pentru că eu lucrez o lucrare în zilele voastre, o lucrare pe care nicidecum nu o veți crede, chiar dacă cineva v-o relatează.
"Behold, you despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I perform a work in your days; a work which you will not believe, though one should distinctly declare it to you."
42 Și după ce iudeii au plecat din sinagogă, neamurile l-au implorat ca aceste cuvinte să le fie predicate în sabatul următor.
Now, when going out, they requested that these words might be spoken to them, on the following Sabbath.
43 Și după ce adunarea s-a împrăștiat, mulți dintre iudeii și prozeliții religioși i-au urmat pe Pavel și pe Barnaba, care, vorbindu-le, i-au convins să continue în harul lui Dumnezeu.
And when the synagogue was broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, persuaded them to persevere in the favor of God.
44 Și în următorul sabat, s-a adunat aproape întreaga cetate să audă cuvântul lui Dumnezeu.
And, on the following Sabbath, almost the whole city was gathered together, to hear the word of God.
45 Dar când iudeii au văzut mulțimile, s-au umplut de invidie și vorbeau împotriva celor spuse de Pavel, contrazicând și blasfemiind.
But the Jews, seeing the multitudes, were filled with zeal; and opposed the things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and reviling.
46 Atunci Pavel și Barnaba au vorbit cutezător și au spus: Era necesar ca întâi să vă fie vorbit vouă cuvântul lui Dumnezeu; dar, văzând că îl dați la o parte și vă judecați nedemni de viața veșnică, iată, ne întoarcem la neamuri. (aiōnios g166)
Then Paul and Barnabas, with great freedom of speech, said, It was necessary, that the word of God should first be spoken to you; but since you thrust it away from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life; behold, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)
47 Fiindcă așa ne-a poruncit Domnul [spunând]: Te-am pus să fii o lumină a neamurilor, ca să fii pentru salvare până la marginile pământului.
For so the Lord has charged us, saying, "I have set you for a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth."
48 Și când neamurile au auzit s-au bucurat și glorificau cuvântul Domnului; și toți câți au fost rânduiți la viață eternă au crezut. (aiōnios g166)
And the Gentiles hearing this, rejoiced, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were disposed for eternal life, believed. (aiōnios g166)
49 Și cuvântul Domnului a fost proclamat prin toată regiunea.
And the word of the Lord was published throughout all that region.
50 Dar iudeii au stârnit pe femeile religioase și de cinste și pe cei mai de seamă bărbați ai cetății și au stârnit persecuție împotriva lui Pavel și Barnaba și i-au scos din ținuturile lor.
But the Jews stirred up some devout women of considerable rank, and the magistrates of the city; and raised a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their territories.
51 Dar ei și-au scuturat praful de pe picioarele lor împotriva lor și au venit la Iconia.
And they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came to Iconium.
52 Și discipolii erau umpluți cu bucurie și cu Duhul Sfânt.
But the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Spirit.
