2 Timotei 4

1 De aceea eu te îndemn înaintea lui Dumnezeu și înaintea Domnului Isus Cristos, care îi va judeca pe cei vii și pe cei morți la arătarea sa și a împărăției sale;

I adjure [thee] before God, and Christ Jesus—Who is about to be judging living and dead, —both as to his forthshining and his kingdom,

2 Predică cuvântul; fii prompt la timp și nelatimp; mustră, ceartă, îndeamnă cu toată îndelunga răbdare și doctrina.

Proclaim the word, take thy position—in season, out of season, —convince, rebuke, encourage, —with all long-suffering and teaching.

3 Fiindcă va veni timpul când nu vor suporta doctrina sănătoasă, ci, după poftele lor proprii, își vor îngrămădi învățători, având urechi care îi gâdilă.

For there will be a season—when, the healthful teaching, they will not endure, but, according to their own covetings, will, unto themselves, heap up teachers, because they have an itching ear,

4 Și își vor întoarce urechile de la adevăr și se vor abate spre fabulații.

And, from the truth, indeed, their ear, will they turn away, while, unto stories, they will turn themselves aside.

5 Dar tu veghează în toate, îndură necazuri, fă lucrarea unui evanghelist, fă deplin dovada serviciului tău.

But, thou, —be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do, the work, of an evangelist, thy ministry, completely fulfill;

6 Căci acum, eu sunt gata să fiu turnat și timpul plecării mele este aproape.

For, I, already, am being poured out as a drink-offering, and, the season of my release, is at hand, —

7 Am luptat o luptă bună, am terminat alergarea, am ținut credința.

The noble contest, have I contested, the race, have I finished, the faith, have I kept:

8 De acum înainte îmi este păstrată o coroană a dreptății, pe care Domnul, judecătorul cel drept, mi-o va da în ziua aceea și nu doar mie, ci și tuturor celor ce iubesc arătarea lui.

Henceforth, lieth by for me—the crown, of righteousness, which the Lord will render unto me in that, day, —The righteous judge, —Ye, not alone unto me, but unto all them also who have loved his forthshining.

9 Străduiește-te să vii curând la mine;

Give diligence to come unto me speedily,

10 Fiindcă Dima m-a părăsit, iubind lumea de acum, și a plecat la Tesalonic; Crescens s-a dus în Galatia, Titus în Dalmația. (aiōn g165)

For, Demas, hath forsaken me, having loved the present age, and hath journeyed unto Thessalonica; Crescens unto Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia: (aiōn g165)

11 Numai Luca este cu mine. Ia pe Marcu și adu-l cu tine, fiindcă el îmi este de folos pentru serviciu.

Luke, alone is with me. Receiving, Mark, back, bring him with thyself, for he is very useful to me for ministering;

12 Iar pe Tihic l-am trimis la Efes.

and, Tychicus, have I sent unto Ephesus.

13 Când vii, adu mantaua, pe care am lăsat-o în Troas, la Carp, și cărțile, dar mai ales pergamentele.

The cloak that I left in Troas, with Carpus, when thou comest, bring; and the scrolls, especially, the parchments.

14 Alexandru, arămarul, mi-a făcut mult rău, Domnul să îi răsplătească conform faptelor lui;

Alexander the coppersmith, of much baseness towards me, hath given proof, —the Lord will render unto him according to his works.—

15 Despre acesta veghează și tu, fiindcă s-a împotrivit foarte tare cuvintelor noastre.

Of whom, be, thou also, on thy guard, for he hath greatly withstood our words.

16 La întâia mea apărare, nimeni nu a stat cu mine, ci toți m-au părăsit, să nu li se socotească aceasta.

In my first defence, no man, came in to help me, but, all, forsook me, —unto them, may it not be reckoned!—

17 Totuși, Domnul a stat cu mine și m-a întărit, pentru ca prin mine predicarea să fie pe deplin cunoscută și să audă toate neamurile; și am fost scăpat din gura leului.

But, the Lord, stood by me, and empowered me, in order that, through me, the proclamation, might be fully made, and, all the nations, might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of a lion: —

18 Domnul mă va scăpa din fiecare lucrare rea și mă va păstra pentru împărăția lui cerească; a lui fie gloria pentru totdeauna și întotdeauna! Amin. (aiōn g165)

The Lord will rescue me from every wicked work, and will bring me safe into his heavenly kingdom: unto whom be the glory, unto the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)

19 Salută pe Prisca și pe Aquila și casa lui Onisifor.

Salute Prisca and Aquila and the house of Onesiphorus.

20 Erast a rămas în Corint, dar pe Trofim l-am lăsat bolnav în Milet.

Erastus, remained in Corinth; but, Trophimus, I left at Miletus, sick.

21 Străduiește-te să vii înaintea iernii. Te salută Eubul și Pudens și Linus și Claudia și toți frații.

Give diligence to come, before winter. There salute thee—Eubulus, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and [all] the brethren.

22 Domnul Isus Cristos fie cu duhul tău! Harul fie cu voi! Amin.

The Lord, be with thy spirit. Favour, be with you.
