2 Tesaloniceni 3
1 În final, fraților, rugați-vă pentru noi, pentru ca al Domnului cuvânt să curgă liber și să fie glorificat, așa cum [și] este cu voi,
Henceforth, brethren, pray ye for us, that the word of our Lord may, in every place, run and be glorified, as with you;
2 Și ca să fim scăpați de oamenii iraționali și stricați, fiindcă nu toți au credință.
and that we may be delivered from evil and perverse men; for faith is not in all.
3 Dar credincios este Domnul, care vă va întări și vă va păzi de rău.
And faithful is the Lord, who will keep you and rescue you from the evil One.
4 Și avem încredere în Domnul în ce vă privește, că deopotrivă faceți și veți face cele ce vă poruncim.
And we have confidence in you, through our Lord, that what we have inculcated on you, ye both have done, and will do.
5 Iar Domnul să vă îndrepte inimile la dragostea lui Dumnezeu și la așteptarea răbdătoare a lui Cristos.
And may our Lord direct your hearts to the love of God, and to a patient waiting for the Messiah.
6 Și vă poruncim, fraților, în numele Domnului nostru Isus Cristos, să vă îndepărtați de fiecare frate care umblă în neorânduială și nu după tradiția pe care a primit-o de la noi.
And we enjoin upon you, my brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, that ye withdraw from every brother who walketh wickedly, and not according to the precepts which ye received from us.
7 Fiindcă voi înșivă știți cum ar trebui să ne urmați, pentru că nu ne-am comportat în neorânduială printre voi,
For ye know how ye ought to imitate us, who did not walk wickedly among you.
8 Nici nu am mâncat pâinea cuiva în zadar, ci am lucrat cu osteneală și durere noapte și zi, ca să nu fim împovărători niciunuia dintre voi,
Neither did we eat bread gratuitously from any of you; but, with toil and weariness, we labored by night and by day, that we might not be burdensome to any of you.
9 Nu pentru că nu avem putere, ci ca să ne facem un exemplu vouă, pentru a ne urma.
It was not because we have no authority, but that we might give you an example in ourselves, that ye might imitate us.
10 Căci și în timp ce eram cu voi, aceasta vă porunceam, că, dacă cineva refuză să lucreze, nici să nu mănânce.
And while we were with you, we also gave you this precept, That every one who would not work, should likewise not eat.
11 Fiindcă auzim că unii umblă în neorânduială între voi, fără să lucreze deloc, ci sunt băgăreți.
For we hear, there are some among you who walk wickedly, and do nothing except vain things.
12 Iar celor ce sunt astfel le poruncim și îi îndemnăm prin Domnul nostru, Isus Cristos, să lucreze în liniște și să își mănânce propria pâine.
Now such persons, we command and exhort, by our Lord Jesus the Messiah, that in quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 Dar voi, fraților, să nu obosiți în facerea binelui.
And my brethren, let it not be wearisome to you, to do what is good.
14 Iar dacă vreunul nu ascultă de cuvântul nostru, prin această epistolă, pe acela însemnați-l și nu vă însoțiți cu el, ca să fie rușinat.
And if any one hearkeneth not to these my words in this epistle, separate that man from you, and have no intimacy with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Însă nu îl socotiți ca dușman, ci avertizați-l ca pe un frate.
Yet, hold him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16 Și însuși Domnul păcii să vă dea pace întotdeauna în orice fel. Domnul fie cu voi toți.
And may the Lord of peace give you peace, always, in every thing. Our Lord be with you all.
17 Salutarea [este] a lui Pavel, cu propria mea mână, acesta este semnul în fiecare epistolă: așa scriu.
The salutation in the writing of my own hand, I Paul have written it; which is the token in all my epistles, so I write.
18 Harul Domnului nostru, Isus Cristos, fie cu voi toți. Amin.
The grace of Jesus the Messiah be with you all, my brethren. Amen.
