2 Tesaloniceni 1

1 Pavel și Silvan și Timotei, bisericii tesalonicenilor în Dumnezeu, Tatăl nostru, și în Domnul Isus Cristos:

Paul and Silvanus and Timothy—unto the assembly of Thessalonians, in God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ, —

2 Har vouă și pace de la Dumnezeu, Tatăl nostru, și de la Domnul Isus Cristos.

Favour unto you, and peace, from God [our] Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Suntem datori să mulțumim lui Dumnezeu totdeauna pentru voi, fraților, așa cum se cuvine, deoarece credința voastră crește peste măsură și dragostea creștină a fiecăruia dintre voi toți, pentru ceilalți, abundă;

We are bound, to be giving thanks, unto God, continually, concerning you, brethren, even as it is, meet; because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all one to another aboundeth,

4 Așa că noi înșine ne lăudăm cu voi în bisericile lui Dumnezeu, pentru răbdarea voastră și credința în toate persecuțiile și necazurile voastre pe care le îndurați;

So that, we ourselves, in you, are boasting, in the assemblies of God, over your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations which ye are sustaining: —

5 O dovadă vizibilă a dreptei judecăți a lui Dumnezeu, că sunteți socotiți demni de împărăția lui Dumnezeu, pentru care și suferiți,

A proof of the righteous judgment of God, to the end ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, in behalf of which ye are also suffering: —

6 Văzând [că] este un lucru drept la Dumnezeu să răsplătească cu necaz celor ce vă tulbură;

If, at least, it is a, righteous thing with God, to recompense, affliction, unto them that afflict you,

7 Și vouă, care sunteți tulburați, odihnă cu noi, când Domnul Isus va fi revelat din cer cu îngerii săi puternici,

And, unto you that are afflicted, release, with us, —by the revealing of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with his messengers of power,

8 În flacăra focului, răzbunându-se pe cei ce nu cunosc pe Dumnezeu și nu ascultă de evanghelia Domnului nostru Isus Cristos;

In a fiery flame; holding forth vengeance—against them that refuse to know God, and them who decline to hearken unto the glad-message of our Lord Jesus,

9 Care vor fi pedepsiți cu nimicirea veșnică de la fața Domnului și de la gloria tăriei sale; (aiōnios g166)

Who, indeed, a penalty, shall pay—age-abiding destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might— (aiōnios g166)

10 Când va veni să fie glorificat în sfinții săi și să fie admirat în acea zi, de toți cei ce cred, pentru că mărturia noastră printre voi a fost crezută.

Whensoever he shall come, to be made all-glorious in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all who believed, —because our witness unto you was believed, —in that day.

11 De aceea ne și rugăm totdeauna pentru voi, ca Dumnezeul nostru să vă socotească demni de această chemare și să împlinească toată plăcerea bunătății sale și lucrarea credinței cu putere,

Unto which end, we are also praying continually for you, that our God may count, you, worthy of your calling, and fulfil every good-pleasure of goodness and work of faith, with power, —

12 Astfel încât numele Domnului nostru Isus Cristos să fie glorificat în voi și voi în el, conform harului Dumnezeului nostru și al Domnului Isus Cristos.

That the name of our Lord Jesus may be made all-glorious in you, and, ye, in him, According to the favour of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.
