1 Și s-a întâmplat, la sfârșitul a douăzeci de ani, în care Solomon construise casa DOMNULUI și propria lui casă,
And it came to pass, at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of Yahweh, and his own house,
2 Că cetățile, pe care Hiram le întorsese lui Solomon, Solomon le-a construit și a făcut pe copiii lui Israel să locuiască acolo.
that, the cities which Huram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them, —and caused, the sons of Israel, to dwell there.
3 Și Solomon a mers la Hamat-Țoba și a luat-o.
And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah, —and prevailed against it;
4 Și a construit Tadmorul în pustiu și toate cetățile de provizie, pe care le-a construit în Hamat.
and he built Tadmor, in the wilderness, —and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath;
5 De asemenea a construit Bet-Horonul superior și Bet-Horonul inferior, cetăți întărite, cu ziduri, porți și drugi;
and he built Beth-horon, the upper, and Beth-horon, the nether, —fortified cities, with walls, and doors and bars;
6 Și Baalat și toate cetățile de provizii, pe care Solomon le-a avut, și toate cetățile de care și cetățile de călăreți și tot ceea ce Solomon a dorit să construiască în Ierusalim și în Liban și prin toată țara stăpânirii lui.
and Baalath, and all the store cities which pertained to Solomon, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, —and every delight of Solomon which he delighted to build in Jerusalem, and in the Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
7 Cât despre tot poporul care era rămas dintre hitiți și amoriți și periziți și hiviți și iebusiți, care nu erau din Israel,
As for all the people that were left, of the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, who were not, of Israel; —
8 Ci dintre copiii lor, care erau rămași după ei în țară, pe care copiii lui Israel nu i-au nimicit, pe ei Solomon i-a făcut să plătească tribut până în această zi.
of their sons who were left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel had not utterly destroyed, Solomon enrolled them as tributary—unto this day.
9 Dar dintre copiii lui Israel, Solomon nu a făcut servitori pentru munca lui, ci ei erau bărbați de război și mai marii căpeteniilor lui și căpeteniile carelor și călăreților lui.
But, of the sons of Israel, were there none whom he delivered up as bondmen unto his work, —for, they, were men of war, and his captains and his heroes, and captains over his chariots, and his horsemen.
10 Și aceștia erau mai marii ofițerilor lui Solomon, două sute cincizeci, care aveau conducerea peste popor.
These, moreover, were the chiefs of his officers whom King Solomon had, two hundred and fifty, —who wielded dominion over the people.
11 Și Solomon a adus pe fiica lui Faraon, din cetatea lui David, la casa pe care o construise pentru ea, căci a spus: Soția mea nu va locui în casa lui David, împăratul lui Israel, deoarece locurile în care chivotul DOMNULUI a venit, sunt sfinte.
And, the daughter of Pharaoh, Solomon brought up, out of the city of David, unto the house which he had built for her, —for he said, A wife of mine must not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, for holy are those places whereinto the ark of Yahweh hath come.
12 Atunci Solomon a adus ofrande arse DOMNULUI pe altarul DOMNULUI, pe care îl construise înaintea porticului,
Then, Solomon offered up ascending-sacrifices, unto Yahweh, —upon the altar of Yahweh, which he had built before the porch:
13 După măsură hotărâtă, zi de zi, sacrificând conform poruncilor lui Moise, în sabate și la lunile noi și la sărbătorile solemne, de trei ori pe an, în sărbătoarea azimei și sărbătoarea săptămânilor și în sărbătoarea corturilor.
even according to the duty of each a day upon [its own] day, offering up according to the commandment of Moses, for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the appointed feasts, three times in the year, —in the festival of unleavened cakes and in the festival of weeks, and in the festival of booths;
14 Și a numit, conform ordinului lui David, tatăl său, rândurile preoților la serviciul lor și pe leviți la sarcinile lor, să laude și să servească înaintea preoților, precum cerea datoria fiecărei zile; portarii de asemenea la rândurile lor la fiecare poartă, fiindcă astfel poruncise David, omul lui Dumnezeu.
and he caused to stand, according to the regulation of David his father, the courses of the priests over their service and of the Levites over their charges, to offer praise and to minister before the priests, for the duty of each day upon its own day, and the gate-keepers in their courses, at every several gate, —for, such, was the commandment of David the man of God;
15 Și ei nu s-au depărtat de porunca împăratului, dată preoților și leviților, referitoare la orice lucru, sau referitoare la tezaure.
neither departed they from the commandment of the king, concerning the priests and the Levites as to any duty, or as to the treasuries.
16 Și toată munca lui Solomon era pregătită până la ziua temeliei casei DOMNULUI și până când a fost terminată. Astfel casa DOMNULUI a fost desăvârșită.
So all the work of Solomon was prepared, from the day of founding the house of Yahweh, even as far as the finishing thereof, —complete was the house of Yahweh.
17 Atunci Solomon a mers la Ețion-Gheber și la Elot, la malul mării, în țara lui Edom.
Then, went Solomon to Ezion-geber, and unto Eloth on the seashore in the land of Edom.
18 Și Hiram i-a trimis, prin mâinile servitorilor săi, corăbii și servitori care aveau cunoașterea mării; și au mers cu servitorii lui Solomon la Ofir și au luat de acolo patru sute cincizeci de talanți de aur și i-au adus împăratului Solomon.
And Huram sent him—by the hand of his servants—ships, and servants skilled in the sea, and they came, with the servants of Solomon, towards Ophir, and took from thence, four hundred and fifty talents of gold, —and brought unto King Solomon.
