1 Mai mult, Iosia a ținut paștele DOMNULUI în Ierusalim; și au înjunghiat paștele în a paisprezecea zi a lunii întâi.
And Josiah kept in Jerusalem the passover unto the Lord: and they slaughtered the passover-sacrifice on the fourteenth day of the first month.
2 Și a așezat preoții în sarcinile lor și i-a încurajat în serviciul casei DOMNULUI.
And he placed the priests in their charges, and strengthened them for the service of the house of the Lord.
3 Și a spus leviților care învățau pe tot Israelul, care erau sfinți DOMNULUI: Puneți chivotul sfânt în casa pe care Solomon, fiul lui David, împăratul lui Israel, a construit-o; aceasta să nu fie o povară pe umerii voștri, serviți acum DOMNULUI Dumnezeul vostru și poporului său Israel,
And he said unto the Levites that instructed all Israel, who were holy unto the Lord, Set the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David the king of Israel did build; you have not to carry it any more upon your shoulders; now serve the Lord your God, and his people Israel.
4 Și pregătiți-vă după casele părinților voștri, după rândurile voastre, conform cu scrierea lui David, împăratul lui Israel, și conform cu scrierea lui Solomon, fiul său.
And prepare yourselves by your family divisions, according to your courses, after the written order of David the king of Israel, and after the written order of Solomon his son;
5 Și stați în picioare în locul sfânt după cetele caselor părintești ale fraților voștri ale poporului și după ceata caselor leviților.
And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the family divisions of your brethren the sons of the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites;
6 Astfel să înjunghiați paștele și să vă sfințiți și să pregătiți pe frații voștri, ca ei să facă după cuvântul DOMNULUI prin mâna lui Moise.
And slaughter the passover-sacrifice, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare it for your brethren, to do according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
7 Și Iosia a dat poporului miei și iezi din turmă, toți pentru ofrandele de paște, pentru toți cei prezenți, până la numărul de treizeci de mii și trei mii de tauri, aceștia erau din averea împăratului.
And Josiah set apart for the sons of the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover-sacrifices, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and of steers three thousand: these were of the king's property.
8 Și prinții lui au dat de bunăvoie poporului, preoților și leviților: Hilchia și Zaharia și Iehiel, conducători ai casei lui Dumnezeu, au dat preoților pentru ofrandele de paște două mii șase sute de viței și trei sute de boi.
And his princes set apart [much] as a freewill gift for the people for the priests, and for the Levites: Chilkiyah, and Zecharyahu, and Jechiel, the rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover-sacrifices two thousand and six hundred [lambs and kids], and three hundred steers.
9 Conania de asemenea și Șemaia și Natanael, frații săi, și Hașabia și Ieiel și Iozabad, mai marii leviților, au dat leviților pentru ofrandele de paște cinci mii de viței și cinci sute de boi.
And Conanyahu, and Shema'yahu and Nethanel, his brothers, and Chashabyahu and Je'iel and Jozabad, the chiefs of the Levites, set apart unto the Levites for passover-sacrifices five thousand [lambs and kids], and five hundred steers.
10 Astfel serviciul a fost pregătit și preoții au stat în picioare la locul lor și leviții în rândurile lor, conform poruncii împăratului.
So the service was established, and the priests stood on their station, and the Levites in their divisions, according to the king's command.
11 Și au înjunghiat paștele și preoții au stropit sângele din mâinile lor și leviții le-au jupuit.
And they slaughtered the passover-sacrifice, and the priests sprinkled [the blood received] from their hands, and the Levites did the flaying.
12 Și au îndepărtat ofrandele arse, ca să dea conform cu cetele familiilor poporului, pentru a oferi DOMNULUI, precum este scris în cartea lui Moise. Și tot așa au făcut cu boii.
And they removed the burnt-offerings to give them to the divisions of the family divisions of the sons of the people, to offer [them] unto the Lord, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so did they with the steers.
13 Și au prăjit paștele cu foc, conform cu rânduiala, dar celelalte ofrande sfinte le-au fiert în oale și în căldări și în tigăi și le-au împărțit în grabă la tot poporul.
And they roasted the passover by the fire in accordance with the prescribed manner; but the holy offerings they seethed in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them speedily among all the sons of the people.
14 Și după aceasta au pregătit pentru ei și pentru preoți, fiindcă preoții, fiii lui Aaron, au fost ocupați cu aducerea ofrandelor arse și cu grăsimea, până noaptea; de aceea leviții au pregătit pentru ei și pentru preoți, fiii lui Aaron.
And afterward they prepared for themselves, and for the priests; because the priests the sons of Aaron [were busied] in offering the burnt-offerings and the fat until night: therefore the Levites prepared for themselves and for the priests the sons of Aaron.
15 Și cântăreții, fiii lui Asaf, erau la locul lor, conform poruncii lui David și Asaf și Heman și Iedutun, văzătorul împăratului; și portarii așteptau la fiecare poartă; nu se depărtau din serviciul lor, fiindcă frații lor, leviții, pregăteau pentru ei.
And the singers the sons of Assaph were on their station, according to the command of David, and Assaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the gatekeepers were at every gate: they had no need to depart from their service; because their brethren the Levites prepared for them.
16 Astfel, tot serviciul DOMNULUI a fost pregătit în aceeași zi, pentru a ține paștele și pentru a aduce ofrande arse pe altarul DOMNULUI, conform poruncii împăratului Iosia.
So was established all the service of the Lord on the same day, to prepare the passover-sacrifice, and to offer burnt-offerings upon the altar of the Lord, according to the command of king Josiah.
17 Și copiii lui Israel, care erau prezenți, au ținut paștele în acel timp și sărbătoarea azimelor șapte zile.
And the children of Israel that were present prepared the passover-sacrifice at that time, and [kept] the feast of unleavened bread seven days.
18 Și nu a fost ținut paște ca acela din zilele profetului Samuel; niciunul dintre toți împărații lui Israel nu au ținut un astfel de paște, precum a ținut Iosia; și preoții și leviții și tot Iuda și Israelul, care au fost prezenți, și locuitorii Ierusalimului.
And there was not holden any passover like this in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; and all the kings of Israel did not keep such a passover as Josiah kept, with the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
19 Acest paște a fost ținut în al optsprezecelea an al domniei lui Iosia.
In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover holden.
20 După toate acestea, după ce Iosia a pregătit templul, Neco, împăratul Egiptului, a urcat să lupte împotriva Carchemișului, la Eufrat; și Iosia a ieșit împotriva lui.
After all this, when Josiah had restored the temple, came up Necho the king of Egypt to fight against Karkemish by the Euphrates, and Josiah went out against him.
21 Dar el a trimis ambasadori la el, spunând: Ce am eu a face cu tine, tu împărat al lui Iuda? Eu nu vin împotriva ta în această zi, ci împotriva casei cu care am război, fiindcă Dumnezeu mi-a poruncit să mă grăbesc, ferește-te să te opui lui Dumnezeu, care este cu mine, ca să nu te nimicească.
But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war, and God hath commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God who is with me, that he may not destroy thee.
22 Cu toate acestea Iosia a refuzat să își întoarcă fața de la el, ci s-a deghizat, ca să lupte cu el; și nu a dat ascultare cuvintelor lui Neco, din gura lui Dumnezeu, și a venit să lupte în valea Meghido.
Nevertheless did Josiah not turn his face away from him, but disguised himself, to fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God; and he came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
23 Și arcașii au tras spre împăratul Iosia; și împăratul a spus servitorilor lui: Luați-mă deoparte, fiindcă sunt grav rănit.
And the archers shot at king Josiah: and the king said to his servants, Carry me away: for I am sorely wounded.
24 Și servitorii lui l-au scos din car și l-au pus în al doilea car pe care îl avea; și l-au adus la Ierusalim și el a murit și a fost îngropat într-unul dintre mormintele părinților săi. Și tot Iuda și Ierusalimul au jelit pentru Iosia.
And his servants carried him away out of that chariot, and conveyed him in the second chariot that he had: and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.
25 Și Ieremia a plâns pentru Iosia și toți cântăreții și cântărețele au vorbit despre Iosia în plângerile lor până în această zi și le-au făcut o rânduială în Israel, și, iată, ele sunt scrise în plângeri.
And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah; and all the singing men and the singing women spoke of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and they instituted them as a custom in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.
26 Și restul faptelor lui Iosia și bunătatea lui, conform cu cele scrise în legea DOMNULUI,
And the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his pious deeds, in accordance with what is written in the law of the Lord,
27 Și faptele lui, cele dintâi și cele din urmă, iată, ele sunt scrise în cartea împăraților lui Israel și Iuda.
And his acts, the first and the last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
