1 Samuel 26
1 Și zifiții au venit la Saul, la Ghibea, spunând: Nu se ascunde David în dealul Hachila, care este înaintea Ieșimonului?
And Zipheis camen to Saul in to Gabaa, and seiden, Lo! Dauid is hidde in the hille of Achille, which is `euene ayens the wildirnesse.
2 Atunci Saul s-a ridicat și a coborât la pustiul Zif, având trei mii de bărbați aleși ai lui Israel cu el, pentru a-l căuta pe David în pustiul Zif.
And Saul roos, and yede doun in to deseert of Ziph, and with hym thre thousynde of men of the chosun of Israel, that he schulde seke Dauid in the desert of Ziph.
3 Și Saul și-a întins cortul pe dealul Hachila, care este înaintea Ieșimonului, lângă cale. Dar David locuia în pustiu și a văzut că Saul a venit după el în pustiu.
And Saul settide tentis in Gabaa of Achille, that was euen ayens the wildirnesse in the weie. Sotheli Dauid dwellide in deseert. Forsothe Dauid siy that Saul hadde come aftir hym in to deseert;
4 David a trimis de aceea spioni și a înțeles că Saul într-adevăr venise.
and Dauid sente aspieris, and lernede moost certeynli, that Saul hadde come thidur.
5 Și David s-a ridicat și a venit la locul unde Saul își întinsese cortul; și David a privit locul unde Saul era culcat, și pe Abner, fiul lui Ner, căpetenia oștirii sale; și Saul era culcat înăuntrul șanțului de apărare și poporul își înălțase cortul în jurul lui.
And Dauid roos priueli, and cam to the place where Saul was. And whanne Dauid hadde seyn the place, wher ynne Saul slepte, and Abner, the sone of Ner, the prince of his chyualrye, and Saul slepynge in the tente, and the tother comyn puple bi his cumpas, Dauid seide to Achymelech,
6 Atunci a răspuns David și i-a spus lui Ahimelec hititul și lui Abișai, fiul Țeruiei, fratele lui Ioab, spunând: Cine va coborî cu mine la Saul în tabără? Și Abișai a spus: Eu voi coborî cu tine.
Ethey, and to Abisai, sone of Saruye, the brother of Joab, `and seide, Who schal go doun with me to Saul in to `the castels? And Abisai seide, Y schal go doun with thee.
7 Astfel David și Abișai au venit la popor noaptea; și, iată, Saul stătea întins, dormind înăuntrul șanțului de apărare cu sulița sa înfiptă în pământ, la capul său; iar Abner și poporul erau întinși de jur împrejurul lui.
Therfor Dauid and Abisai camen to the puple in the nyyt, and thei founden Saul lyggynge and slepynge in `the tente, and a spere sette faste in the erthe at his heed; `forsothe thei founden Abner and the puple slepynge in his cumpas.
8 Atunci Abișai i-a spus lui David: Dumnezeu a dat pe dușmanul tău în mâna ta în această zi; de aceea acum lasă-mă, te rog, să îl pironesc cu sulița în pământ cu o singură lovitură, și nu îl voi lovi a doua oară.
And Abisay seide to Dauid, God hath closid to dai thin enemy in to thin hondis; now therfor Y schal peerse hym with a spere onys in the erthe, and `no nede schal be the secounde tyme.
9 Și David i-a spus lui Abișai: Nu îl nimici; fiindcă cine poate să își întindă mâna împotriva unsului DOMNULUI și să fie fără vină?
And Dauid seide to Abysai, Sle thou not hym, for who schal holde forth his hond into the crist of the Lord, and schal be innocent?
10 David a mai spus: Precum DOMNUL trăiește, DOMNUL să îl lovească; sau va veni ziua lui să moară; sau va coborî în bătălie și va pieri.
And Dauid seide, The Lord lyueth, for no but the Lord smyte hym, ether his dai come that he die, ether he go doun in to batel and perische;
11 Să mă ferească DOMNUL să îmi întind mâna împotriva unsului DOMNULUI; dar, te rog, ia acum sulița care este la capul său și ulciorul cu apă și să mergem.
the Lord be merciful to me, that Y holde not forth myn hond in to the crist of the Lord; now therfor take thou the spere, which is at his heed, and `take thou the cuppe of watir, and go we awei.
12 Astfel David a luat sulița și ulciorul cu apă de la capul lui Saul; și s-au îndepărtat și niciun om nu a văzut aceasta, nici nu a știut, nici nu s-a trezit, fiindcă toți erau adormiți, pentru că un somn adânc de la DOMNUL căzuse peste ei.
Dauid took the spere, and the cuppe of watir, that was at the heed of Saul, and thei yeden forth, and no man was that siy, and vndirstood, and wakide, but alle men slepten; for the sleep of the Lord `hadde feld on hem.
13 Atunci David a trecut de cealaltă parte și a stat pe vârful unui deal de departe; o mare depărtare fiind între ei.
And whanne Dauid hadde passid euene ayens, and hadde stonde on the cop of the hil afer, and a greet space was bitwixe hem,
14 Și David a strigat către popor și către Abner, fiul lui Ner, spunând: Nu răspunzi, Abner? Atunci Abner a răspuns și a zis: Cine ești tu, care strigi către împărat?
Dauid criede to the puple, and to Abner, the sone of Ner, and seide, Abner, whether thou schalt not answere? And Abner answeride, and seide, Who art thou, that criest, and disesist the kyng?
15 Și David i-a spus lui Abner: Nu ești tu un bărbat viteaz? Și cine este ca tine în Israel? Pentru ce atunci nu ai păzit pe domnul tău, împăratul? Pentru că a venit unul din popor să îl nimicească pe împărat, pe domnul tău.
And Dauith seide to Abner, Whether thou art not a man, and what other man is lijk thee in Israel? whi therfor `kepist thou not thi lord the kyng? `For o man of the cumpanye entride, that he schulde sle thi lord the kyng;
16 Acest lucru pe care l-ai făcut nu este bun. Precum DOMNUL trăiește, voi sunteți demni de moarte, pentru că nu ați păzit pe domnul vostru, pe unsul DOMNULUI. Și acum vezi unde este sulița împăratului și ulciorul cu apă care erau la capul lui.
this that thou hast doon, is not good; the Lord lyueth, for ye ben sones of deeth, that kepten not youre lord, the crist of the Lord. Now therfor se thou, where is the spere of the kyng, and where is the cuppe of watir, that weren at his heed.
17 Și Saul a cunoscut vocea lui David și a spus: Este aceasta vocea ta, fiul meu David? Și David a spus: Este vocea mea, domnul meu, o împărate.
Forsothe Saul knew the vois of Dauid, and seide, Whether this vois is thin, my sone Dauid? And Dauid seide, My lord the kyng, it is my vois.
18 Și a spus: Pentru ce urmărește astfel domnul meu pe servitorul său? Fiindcă ce am făcut? Sau ce rău este în mâna mea?
And Dauid seide, For what cause pursueth my lord his seruaunt? What haue Y do, ether what yuel is in myn hond? Now therfor,
19 Și acum, te rog, să asculte domnul meu împăratul, cuvintele servitorului său. Dacă DOMNUL te-a stârnit împotriva mea, să accepte ofrandă; dar dacă fiii oamenilor te-au stârnit, blestemați fie ei înaintea DOMNULUI, pentru că m-au alungat în această zi de la a rămâne în moștenirea DOMNULUI, spunând: Du-te, servește alți dumnezei.
my lord the kyng, Y preye, here the wordis of thi seruaunt; if the Lord stirith thee ayens me, the sacrifice be smellid; forsothe if sones of men stiren thee, thei ben cursid in the siyt of the Lord, whiche han cast me out `to dai, that Y dwelle not in the erytage of the Lord, and seien, Go thou, serue thou alien goddis.
20 Și acum, să nu cadă sângele meu la pământ înaintea feței DOMNULUI, pentru că împăratul lui Israel a ieșit să caute un păduche, ca unul care vânează o potârniche în munți.
And now my blood be not sched out in the erthe bifor the Lord; for the kyng of Israel yede out, that he seke a quike fle, as a partrich is pursuede in hillis.
21 Atunci Saul a spus: Am păcătuit; întoarce-te, fiul meu David, fiindcă nu te voi mai vătăma, pentru că sufletul meu a fost prețios în ochii tăi în această zi; iată, am lucrat prostește și am greșit peste măsură.
And Saul seide, Y synnede; turne ayen, my sone Dauid, for Y schal no more do yuel to thee, for my lijf was precious to day in thin iyen; for it semeth, that Y dide folili, and Y vnknew ful many thingis.
22 Și David a răspuns și a zis: Iată, sulița împăratului! Să vină unul dintre tineri și să o ia.
And Dauid answeride and seide, Lo! the spere of the kyng, oon of the `children of the kyng passe, and take it; forsothe the Lord schal yelde to ech man bi his riytfulnesse and feith;
23 Atunci DOMNUL să întoarcă fiecărui om dreptatea sa și credincioșia sa, pentru că DOMNUL te-a dat în mâna mea astăzi, dar am refuzat să îmi întind mâna împotriva unsului DOMNULUI.
for the Lord bitook thee to dai in to myn hond, and Y nolde holde forth myn hond in to the crist of the Lord;
24 Și, iată, precum viața ta a fost prețioasă astăzi în ochii mei, tot astfel viața mea să fie prețioasă în ochii DOMNULUI și să mă scape din tot necazul.
and as thi lijf is magnified to dai in myn iyen, so my lijf be magnyfied in the iyen of the Lord, and delyuere he me fro al angwisch.
25 Atunci Saul i-a spus lui David: Binecuvântat fii tu, fiul meu David, tu vei face deopotrivă lucruri mari și de asemenea vei învinge. Astfel David a mers pe calea sa și Saul s-a întors la locul lui.
Therfor Saul seide to Dauid, Blessid be thou, my sone Dauid; and sotheli thou doynge schalt do, and thou myyti schalt be myyti. Therfor Dauid yede in to his weie, and Saul turnede ayen in to his place.
