1 Şi s-a întâmplat în al patru sute optzecilea an după ce copiii lui Israel au ieşit din ţara Egiptului, în al patrulea an al domniei lui Solomon peste Israel, în luna Ziv, care este a doua lună, că el a început construirea casei DOMNULUI.
And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which [is] the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
2 Şi casa pe care împăratul Solomon a construit-o pentru DOMNUL, lungimea acesteia era de şaizeci de coţi şi lăţimea acesteia de douăzeci de coţi şi înălţimea acesteia de treizeci de coţi.
And the house which the king built to the Lord [was] forty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and its height five and twenty cubits.
3 Şi porticul în faţa templului casei era de douăzeci de coţi în lungime, conform lăţimii casei; şi de zece coţi era lăţimea acestuia în faţa casei.
And the porch in front of the temple—twenty cubits [was] its length according to the breadth of the house in front of the house: and he built the house, and finished it.
4 Şi pentru casă a făcut ferestre cu lumini înguste.
And he made to the house secret windows inclining inward.
5 Şi pe zidul casei a construit camere de jur împrejur, pe zidurile casei de jur împrejur, deopotrivă ale templului şi ale oracolului; şi a făcut camere de jur împrejur;
And against the wall of the house he set chambers round about the temple and the ark.
6 Camera cea mai de jos era largă de cinci coţi şi cea din mijloc era largă de şase coţi şi cea de-a treia era largă de şapte coţi, pentru că pe exteriorul zidului casei a făcut ieşituri înguste de jur împrejur, încât bârnele să nu fie prinse în zidurile casei.
The under side [was] five cubits broad, and the middle [part] six, and the third [was] seven cubits broad; for he formed an interval to the house round about without the house, that they might not touch the walls of the house.
7 Şi casa, când a fost în construcţie, a fost construită din piatră pregătită înainte de a fi adusă acolo; astfel încât nici ciocan, nici secure, nici vreo unealtă de fier nu a fost auzită în casă, în timp ce a fost în construcţie.
And the house was built in the construction of it with rough hewn stones: and there was not heard in the house in the building of it hammer or axe, or any iron tool.
8 Uşa pentru camera din mijloc era în partea dreaptă a casei; şi se urcau pe scări în spirală la camera din mijloc şi de la cea din mijloc la a treia.
And the porch of the under side [was] below the right wing of the house, and [there was] a winding ascent into the middle [chamber], and from the middle to the third story.
9 Astfel a construit casa şi a terminat-o; şi a acoperit casa cu bârne şi cu scânduri de cedru.
So he built the house and finished it; and he made the ceiling of the house with cedars.
10 Şi apoi a construit camere împrejurul întregii case, de cinci coţi înălţime; şi erau prinse de casă cu lemnărie de cedru.
And he made the partitions through all the house, each five cubits high, and enclosed each partition with cedar boards.
11 Şi cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la Solomon, spunând:
12 Referitor la această casă pe care o construieşti, dacă vei umbla în statutele mele şi vei împlini judecăţile mele şi vei păzi toate poruncile mele pentru a umbla în ele, atunci cu tine voi împlini cuvântul meu, pe care l-am vorbit lui David, tatăl tău.
13 Şi voi locui printre copiii lui Israel şi nu voi părăsi pe poporul meu, Israel.
14 Astfel Solomon a construit casa şi a terminat-o.
15 Şi a construit zidurile casei pe interior cu scânduri de cedru, deopotrivă podeaua casei şi zidurile tavanului; şi le-a acoperit pe interior cu lemn şi a acoperit podeaua casei cu poşte de brad.
And he framed the walls of the house within with cedar boards, from the floor of the house and on to the inner walls and to the beams: he lined the parts enclosed with boards within, and compassed the inward parts of the house with planks of fir.
16 Şi a construit douăzeci de coţi pe părţile casei, deopotrivă podeaua şi pereţii cu scânduri de cedru; le-a construit chiar pentru ea pe interior, pentru oracol, pentru locul sfânt.
And he built the twenty cubits from the top of the wall, one side from the floor to the beams, and he made it from the oracle to the most holy place.
17 Şi casa, care este templul dinaintea sa, era lungă de patruzeci de coţi.
And the temple was forty cubits [in extent],
18 Şi cedrul casei pe interior era sculptat cu noduri şi flori deschise; totul era de cedru; nu se vedea piatră.
19 Şi oracolul l-a pregătit în interiorul casei, pentru a pune acolo chivotul legământului DOMNULUI.
in front of the oracle in the midst of the house within, [in order] to put there the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
20 Şi oracolul în partea din faţă era de douăzeci de coţi în lungime şi de douăzeci de coţi în lăţime şi de douăzeci de coţi în înălţime; şi l-a placat cu aur pur; şi astfel a acoperit altarul de cedru.
The length [was] twenty cubits, and the breadth [was] twenty cubits, and the height of it was twenty cubits. And he covered it with perfect gold, and he made an altar in front of the oracle, and covered it with gold.
21 Astfel Solomon a placat interiorul casei cu aur pur; şi a făcut o despărţire prin lanţurile de aur dinaintea oracolului; şi l-a placat cu aur.
And he covered the whole house with gold, till he had finished [gilding] the whole house.
22 Şi toată casa a placat-o cu aur, până când a terminat toată casa; de asemenea tot altarul care era lângă oracol l-a placat cu aur.
23 Şi în interiorul oracolului a făcut doi heruvimi din lemn de măslin, fiecare de zece coţi înălţime.
And he made in the oracle two cherubs of ten cubits measured size.
24 Şi de cinci coţi era o aripă a heruvimului şi de cinci coţi cealaltă aripă a heruvimului, de la vârful unei aripi până la vârful celeilalte aripi erau zece coţi.
And the wing of one cherub was five cubits, and his other wing was five cubits; ten cubits from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other wing.
25 Şi celălalt heruvim era de zece coţi; amândoi heruvimii erau de aceeaşi măsură şi de aceeaşi mărime.
Thus it was with the other cherub, both were alike finished with one measure.
26 Înălţimea unui heruvim era de zece coţi şi tot astfel era a celuilalt heruvim.
And the height of the one cherub [was] ten cubits, and so [was it] with the second cherub.
27 Şi a pus heruvimii în casa interioară; şi au întins aripile heruvimilor, astfel încât aripa unuia atingea un perete şi aripa celuilalt heruvim atingea celălalt perete; şi aripile lor se atingeau una de alta în mijlocul casei.
And both the cherubs [were] in the midst of the innermost part of the house; and they spread out their wings, and one wing touched the wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings in the midst of the house touched each other.
28 Şi a placat heruvimii cu aur.
And he covered the cherubs with gold.
29 Şi a sculptat toţi pereţii casei de jur împrejur cu chipuri cioplite de heruvimi şi de palmieri şi de flori deschise, pe interior şi pe exterior.
He graved all the walls of the house round about with the graving of cherubs, and [he sculptured] palm trees within and without [the house].
30 Şi podeaua casei a placat-o cu aur, pe interior şi pe exterior.
And he covered the floor of the house within and without with gold.
31 Şi pentru intrarea oracolului a făcut uşi din lemn de măslin, pragul de sus şi uşorii erau a cincea parte din zid.
And for the door-way of the oracle he made doors of juniper wood, [there were] porches in a four-fold way.
32 Cele două uşi de asemenea erau din lemn de măslin; şi el a sculptat pe ele chipuri cioplite de heruvimi şi de palmieri şi de flori deschise şi le-a placat cu aur şi a întins aur peste heruvimi şi peste palmieri.
33 Tot astfel a făcut pentru intrarea templului, uşori din lemn de măslin, a patra parte din lăţimea casei.
34 Şi cele două uşi erau din lemn de brad: cele două părţi ale unei uşi erau pliante şi cele două părţi ale celeilalte uşi erau pliante.
In both the doors [were] planks of fir; the one door had two leaves and their hinges, and the other door had two leaves and turned [on hinges],
35 Şi a sculptat pe ele heruvimi şi palmieri şi flori deschise; şi le-a placat cu aur întins peste lucrarea cioplită.
being carved with cherubs, and [there were] palm-trees and open flower-leaves, and it [was] overlaid with gold gilt upon the engraving.
36 Şi a construit curtea interioară cu trei rânduri de piatră cioplită şi un rând de bârne de cedru.
And he built the inner court, three rows of hewn stones, and a row of wrought cedar round about, and he made the curtain of the court of the porch of the house that was in front of the temple.
37 În al patrulea an a fost pusă temelia casei DOMNULUI, în luna Ziv;
38 Şi în al unsprezecelea an, în luna Bul, care este luna a opta, a fost casa terminată cu toate părţile ei şi conform cu tot modelul ei. Astfel, în şapte ani, a construit-o.
