1 Regii 14

1 În timpul acela Abiia, fiul lui Ieroboam, s-a îmbolnăvit.

At that time Abijah son of Jeroboam was sick,

2 Şi Ieroboam i-a spus soţiei sale: Ridică-te, te rog, şi deghizează-te, ca să nu fii cunoscută că eşti soţia lui Ieroboam; şi mergi la Şilo; iată, acolo este profetul Ahiia, care mi-a spus că voi fi împărat peste acest popor.

and Jeroboam says to his wife, “Now rise and change yourself, and they do not know that you [are the] wife of Jeroboam, and you have gone to Shiloh; behold, Ahijah the prophet [is] there; he spoke to me of [being] king over this people;

3 Şi ia cu tine zece pâini şi turte şi un urcior cu miere şi mergi la el: el îţi va spune ce i se va întâmpla copilului.

and you have taken in your hand ten loaves, and crumbs, and a bottle of honey, and have gone to him; he declares to you what becomes of the youth.”

4 Şi soţia lui Ieroboam a făcut astfel şi s-a ridicat şi a mers la Şilo şi a venit la casa lui Ahiia. Dar Ahiia nu putea să vadă, pentru că ochii lui se întunecaseră din cauza bătrâneţii.

And the wife of Jeroboam does so, and rises, and goes to Shiloh, and enters the house of Ahijah, and Ahijah is not able to see, for his eyes have stood because of his age.

5 Şi DOMNUL i-a spus lui Ahiia: Iată, soţia lui Ieroboam vine să te întrebe un lucru pentru fiul ei, pentru că este bolnav; şi aşa şi aşa să îi vorbeşti, pentru că atunci când va intra, se va preface a fi altă femeie.

And YHWH said to Ahijah, “Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to seek a word from you concerning her son, for he is sick; thus and thus you speak to her, and it comes to pass at her coming in, that she is making herself strange.”

6 Şi s-a întâmplat, când Ahiia a auzit sunetul picioarelor ei, pe când intra pe uşă, că el i-a spus: Intră, tu soţie a lui Ieroboam; de ce te prefaci a fi alta? Pentru că eu sunt trimis la tine cu veşti grele.

And it comes to pass, at Ahijah’s hearing the sound of her feet [as] she came to the opening, that he says, “Come in, wife of Jeroboam, why is this [that] you are making yourself strange? And I am sent to you [with] a sharp thing.

7 Du-te, spune lui Ieroboam: Astfel spune DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel: Deşi te-am înălţat din mijlocul poporului şi te-am făcut prinţ peste poporul meu, Israel,

Go, say to Jeroboam, Thus said YHWH, God of Israel: Because that I have made you high out of the midst of the people, and appoint you leader over my people Israel,

8 Şi am rupt împărăţia de la casa lui David şi ţi-am dat-o ţie, totuşi nu ai fost ca servitorul meu David, care a păzit poruncile mele şi care m-a urmat cu toată inima sa, pentru a face numai ceea ce era drept în ochii mei;

and tear the kingdom from the house of David, and give it to you—and you have not been as My servant David who kept My commands, and who walked after Me with all his heart, to only do that which [is] right in My eyes,

9 Ci ai făcut rău mai mult decât toţi câţi au fost înaintea ta; fiindcă ai mers şi ţi-ai făcut alţi dumnezei şi chipuri turnate, pentru a mă provoca la mânie şi m-ai aruncat în spatele tău;

and you do evil above all who have been before you, and go, and make other gods and molten images for yourself to provoke Me to anger, and you have cast Me behind your back—

10 De aceea, iată, voi aduce răul asupra casei lui Ieroboam şi voi stârpi de la Ieroboam, pe cel care urinează la perete şi pe cel închis şi pe cel rămas în Israel, şi voi îndepărta rămăşiţa casei lui Ieroboam, precum omul îndepărtează balega, până când se duce toată.

therefore, behold, I am bringing calamity to the house of Jeroboam, and have cut off to Jeroboam those sitting on the wall—shut up and left—in Israel, and have put away the posterity of the house of Jeroboam, as one puts away the dung until its consumption;

11 Pe cel ce moare din Ieroboam în cetate, câinii îl vor mânca; şi pe cel care moare în câmp îl vor mânca păsările cerului, pentru că DOMNUL a vorbit aceasta.

the dogs eat him who dies of Jeroboam in a city, and birds of the heavens eat him who dies in a field, for YHWH has spoken.

12 Ridică-te de aceea, mergi acasă; şi când picioarele tale vor intra în cetate, copilul va muri.

And you, rise, go to your house; in the going in of your feet to the city, the boy has died;

13 Şi tot Israelul va jeli pentru el şi îl vor îngropa, pentru că numai el din Ieroboam va intra în mormânt, pentru că numai în el s-a găsit ceva bun faţă de DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel, în casa lui Ieroboam.

and all Israel has mourned for him, and buried him, for this one—by himself—of Jeroboam comes to a grave, because there has been found in him a good thing toward YHWH, God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.

14 Mai mult, DOMNUL îşi va ridica un împărat peste Israel, care va stârpi casa lui Ieroboam în acea zi, dar ce spun? Chiar acum.

And YHWH has raised up for Himself a king over Israel who cuts off the house of Jeroboam this day—and what? Even now!

15 Fiindcă DOMNUL va lovi pe Israel, precum o trestie este scuturată în apă şi va dezrădăcina pe Israel din această ţară bună, pe care a dat-o părinţilor lor şi îi va împrăştia dincolo de râu, deoarece şi-au făcut dumbrăvi, provocând pe DOMNUL la mânie.

And YHWH has struck Israel as the reed is moved by the waters, and has plucked Israel from off this good ground that He gave to their fathers, and scattered them beyond the River, because that they made their Asherim, provoking YHWH to anger;

16 Şi el va părăsi pe Israel din cauza păcatelor lui Ieroboam, care a păcătuit şi care a făcut pe Israel să păcătuiască.

and He gives up Israel because of the sins of Jeroboam that he sinned, and that he caused Israel to sin.”

17 Şi soţia lui Ieroboam s-a ridicat şi a plecat şi a venit la Tirţa; şi când a ajuns la pragul uşii, copilul a murit.

And the wife of Jeroboam rises, and goes, and comes to Tirzah; she has come to the threshold of the house, and the youth dies;

18 Şi l-au îngropat; şi tot Israelul a jelit pentru el, conform cuvântului DOMNULUI, pe care el îl vorbise prin mâna servitorului său, profetul Ahiia.

and they bury him, and all Israel mourns for him, according to the word of YHWH that he spoke by the hand of His servant Ahijah the prophet.

19 Şi restul faptelor lui Ieroboam, cum s-a războit şi cum a domnit, iată, ele sunt scrise în cartea cronicilor împăraţilor lui Israel.

And the rest of the matters of Jeroboam, how he fought, and how he reigned, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

20 Şi zilele cât Ieroboam a domnit au fost douăzeci şi doi de ani; şi a adormit cu părinţii săi şi Nadab, fiul său, a domnit în locul său.

And the days that Jeroboam reigned [are] twenty-two years, and he lies with his fathers, and his son Nadab reigns in his stead.

21 Şi Roboam, fiul lui Solomon, a domnit în Iuda. Roboam era în vârstă de patruzeci şi unu de ani când a început să domnească şi a domnit şaptesprezece ani în Ierusalim, cetatea pe care DOMNUL a ales-o dintre toate triburile lui Israel, ca să îşi pună numele său acolo. Şi numele mamei lui era Naama, o amonită.

And Rehoboam son of Solomon has reigned in Judah; Rehoboam [is] a son of forty-one years in his reigning, and he has reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city that YHWH chose to set His Name there, out of all the tribes of Israel, and the name of his mother [is] Naamah the Ammonitess.

22 Şi Iuda a făcut ce este rău în ochii DOMNULUI; şi l-au provocat la gelozie cu păcatele lor pe care le-au făcut, mai mult decât tot ce făcuseră părinţii lor.

And Judah does evil in the eyes of YHWH, and they make Him zealous above all that their fathers did by their sins that they have sinned.

23 Fiindcă ei şi-au zidit de asemenea înălţimi şi idoli şi dumbrăvi pe fiecare deal înalt şi sub fiecare copac verde.

And they build—they also—for themselves high places, and standing-pillars, and Asherim, on every high height, and under every green tree;

24 Şi erau de asemenea sodomiţi în ţară, care au făcut conform cu toate urâciunile naţiunilor pe care DOMNUL le alungase dinaintea copiilor lui Israel.

and a whoremonger has also been in the land; they have done according to all the abominations of the nations that YHWH dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel.

25 Şi s-a întâmplat, în al cincilea an al împăratului Roboam, că Şişac, împăratul Egiptului, s-a urcat împotriva Ierusalimului;

And it comes to pass, in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt has gone up against Jerusalem,

26 Şi a luat tezaurele casei DOMNULUI şi tezaurele casei împăratului; a luat chiar tot; şi a luat toate scuturile de aur pe care Solomon le făcuse.

and he takes the treasures of the house of YHWH, and the treasures of the house of the king, indeed, he has taken the whole; and he takes all the shields of gold that Solomon made.

27 Şi împăratul Roboam a făcut în locul lor scuturi de aramă şi le-a încredinţat în mâinile mai marelui gărzii, care păzea uşa casei împăratului.

And King Rehoboam makes shields of bronze in their stead, and has made [them] a charge on the hand of the heads of the runners, those keeping the opening of the house of the king,

28 Şi s-a întâmplat când împăratul intra în casa DOMNULUI, că garda le purta şi le aducea înapoi în camera gărzii.

and it comes to pass, from the going in of the king to the house of YHWH, the runners carry them, and have brought them back to the chamber of the runners.

29 Şi restul faptelor lui Roboam şi tot ce a făcut, nu sunt ele scrise în cartea cronicilor împăraţilor lui Iuda?

And the rest of the matters of Rehoboam and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

30 Şi a fost război între Roboam şi Ieroboam, în toate zilele lor.

And there has been war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam [for] all the days;

31 Şi Roboam a adormit cu părinţii săi şi a fost îngropat cu părinţii săi în cetatea lui David. Şi numele mamei lui era Naama, o amonită. Şi Abiiam, fiul său, a domnit în locul său.

and Rehoboam lies with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the City of David, and the name of his mother [is] Naamah the Ammonitess, and his son Abijam reigns in his stead.
