1 Mai mult, David și căpeteniile oștirii au pus deoparte pentru serviciu pe fiii lui Asaf și ai lui Heman și ai lui Iedutun, care să profețească cu harpe, cu psalterioane și cu chimvale; și numărul lucrătorilor conform serviciului lor era,

And king David and the captains of the host appointed to their services the sons of Asaph, and of Aeman, and of Idithun, prophesiers with harps, and lutes, and cymbals: and their number was according to their polls serving in their ministrations.

2 Dintre fiii lui Asaf: Zacur și Iosif și Netania și Așareela, fiii lui Asaf sub mâinile lui Asaf, care au profețit conform ordinului împăratului.

The sons of Asaph; Sacchur, Joseph, and Nathanias, and Erael: the sons of Asaph [were] next the king.

3 Din Iedutun, fiii lui Iedutun: Ghedalia și Zeri și Ieșaia, Hașabia și Matitia, șase, sub mâinile tatălui lor Iedutun, care a profețit cu harpă, pentru a da mulțumiri și a lăuda pe DOMNUL.

To Idithun [were reckoned] the sons of Idithun, Godolias, and Suri, and Iseas, and Asabias, and Matthathias, six after their father Idithun, sounding loudly on the harp thanksgiving and praise to the Lord.

4 Din Heman, fiii lui Heman: Buchia, Matania, Uziel, Șebuel și Ierimot, Hanania, Hanani, Eliata, Ghidalti și Romamti-Ezer, Ioșbecașa, Maloti, Hotir și Mahaziot;

To Aeman [were reckoned] the sons of Aeman, Bukias, and Matthanias, and Oziel, and Subael, and Jerimoth, and Ananias, and Anan, and Heliatha, and Godollathi, and Rometthiezer, and Jesbasaca, and Mallithi, and Otheri, and Meazoth.

5 Toți aceștia erau fiii lui Heman, văzătorul împăratului în cuvintele lui Dumnezeu, a căror serviciu era să ridice cornul. Și Dumnezeu i-a dat lui Heman paisprezece fii și trei fiice.

All these [were] the sons of Aeman the king's chief player in the praises of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Aeman fourteen sons, and three daughters.

6 Toți aceștia erau sub mâinile tatălui lor pentru cântare în casa DOMNULUI, cu chimvale, psalterioane și harpe, pentru serviciul casei lui Dumnezeu, conform ordinului împăratului pentru Asaf, Iedutun și Heman.

All these sang hymns with their father in the house of God, with cymbals, and lutes, and harps, for the service of the house of God, near the king, and Asaph, and Idithun, and Aeman.

7 Astfel numărul lor, cu frații lor care erau instruiți în cântările DOMNULUI, toți care erau iscusiți, era de două sute optzeci și opt.

And the number of them after their brethren, those instructed to sing to God, every one that understood [singing] was two hundred and eighty-eight.

8 Și au aruncat sorți, pentru fiecare serviciu, și cei mari și cei mici și învățătorul și elevul.

And they also cast lots for the daily courses, for the great and the small [of them], of the perfect ones and the learners.

9 Și primul sorț a ieșit pentru Asaf lui Iosif; al doilea lui Ghedalia, care cu frații săi și fiii săi erau doisprezece;

And the first lot of his sons and of his brethren came forth to Asaph the son of Joseph, [namely], Godolias: the second Heneia, his sons and his brethren [being] twelve.

10 Al treilea lui Zacur, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

The third Zacchur, his sons and his brethren [were] twelve:

11 Al patrulea lui Ițeri, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the fourth Jesri, his sons and his brethren [were] twelve:

12 Al cincilea lui Netania, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the fifth Nathan, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

13 Al șaselea lui Buchia, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the sixth Bukias, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

14 Al șaptelea lui Iesareela, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the seventh Iseriel, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

15 Al optulea lui Ieșaia, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the eighth Josia, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

16 Al nouălea lui Matania, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the ninth Matthanias, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

17 Al zecelea lui Șimei, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the tenth Semeia, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

18 Al unsprezecelea lui Azareel, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the eleventh Asriel, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

19 Al doisprezecelea lui Hașabia, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the twelfth Asabia, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

20 Al treisprezecelea lui Șubael, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the thirteenth Subael, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

21 Al paisprezecelea lui Matitia, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the fourteenth Matthathias, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

22 Al cincisprezecelea lui Ieremot, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the fifteenth Jerimoth, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

23 Al șaisprezecelea lui Hanania, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the sixteenth Anania, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

24 Al șaptesprezecelea lui Ioșbecașa, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the seventeenth Jesbasaca, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

25 Al optsprezecelea lui Hanani, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the eighteenth Ananias, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

26 Al nouăsprezecelea lui Maloti, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the nineteenth Mallithi, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

27 Al douăzecilea lui Eliata, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the twentieth Heliatha, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

28 Al douăzeci și unulea lui Hotir, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the twenty-first Otheri, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

29 Al douăzeci și doilea lui Ghidalti, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the twenty-second Godollathi, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

30 Al douăzeci și treilea lui Mahaziot, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;

the twenty-third Meazoth, his sons and his brethren, twelve:

31 Al douăzeci și patrulea lui Romamti-Ezer, el, fiii săi și frații săi, erau doisprezece;
