1 Cronici 22

1 Atunci David a spus: Aceasta este casa DOMNULUI Dumnezeu și acesta este altarul ofrandei arse pentru Israel.

Then said David, This, is the house of Yahweh God, —and, this, is the altar of ascending-sacrifice, for Israel.

2 Și David a poruncit să adune pe străinii care erau în țara lui Israel; și a așezat zidari să despice pietre lucrate pentru a construi casa lui Dumnezeu.

And David gave word, to gather together the sojourners, who were in the land of Israel, —and he set hewers to hew squared stones, for building the house of God;

3 Și David a pregătit fier din abundență, pentru cuie, pentru ușile porților și pentru îmbinări; și aramă din abundență, fără cântărire;

and, iron in abundance, for nails for the doors of the gates, and for hooks, did David prepare, —and bronze in abundance, without weight;

4 De asemenea cedri din abundență, căci sidonienii și cei din Tir au adus mult lemn de cedru lui David.

and cedar-trees, even without number, —for the Zidonians and the Tyreans brought cedar-trees in abundance, unto David.

5 Și David a spus: Solomon, fiul meu, este tânăr și plăpând; și casa care trebuie construită pentru DOMNUL trebuie să fie peste măsură de preamărită, cu faimă și glorie în toate țările, de aceea voi face pregătire pentru aceasta. Astfel David a pregătit din abundență înaintea morții sale.

And David said, Solomon my son, is young and tender, and, the house to be built, must be great and lofty and famous and beautiful, for all lands, —oh let me then prepare for it. So David prepared abundantly, before his death.

6 Atunci a chemat pe fiul său, Solomon și i-a poruncit să construiască o casă pentru DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel.

Then he called for Solomon his son, —and charged him, to build a house, for Yahweh, God of Israel.

7 Și David i-a spus lui Solomon: Fiul meu, cât despre mine, a fost în mintea mea să construiesc o casă numelui DOMNULUI Dumnezeul meu,

And David said to Solomon his son, —As for me, it was, near my heart, to build a house for the Name of Yahweh my God;

8 Dar cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la mine, spunând: Tu ai vărsat mult sânge și ai făcut războaie mari, să nu construiești o casă numelui meu, deoarece ai vărsat mult sânge pe pământ înaintea mea.

but the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying, Blood in abundance, hast thou shed, and, great wars, hast thou made, —thou shalt not build a house for my Name, because, much blood, hast thou shed upon the earth, before me.

9 Iată, ți se va naște un fiu care va fi un bărbat al odihnei; și îi voi da odihnă față de toți dușmanii lui de jur împrejur, fiindcă numele lui va fi Solomon și voi da pace și liniște lui Israel în zilele lui.

Lo! a son, born to thee, He, shall be a man of rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies, round about, —for, Solomon, shall be his Name, and, peace and quietness, will I bestow upon Israel, in his days;

10 El va construi o casă numelui meu; și el va fi fiul meu și eu voi fi tatăl său; și voi întemeia tronul împărăției sale peste Israel pentru totdeauna.

He, shall build a house for my Name, and, he, shall be my son, and, I, will be his father, —therefore will I establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel, unto times age-abiding:

11 Și fiul meu, DOMNUL fie cu tine și să prosperi și să construiești casa DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău, așa cum ți-a spus.

Now, my son, Yahweh be with thee, —so shalt thou be prosperous, and shalt build the house of Yahweh thy God, according as he hath spoken concerning thee.

12 Numai DOMNUL să îți dea înțelepciune și înțelegere și să îți dea poruncă referitor la Israel, ca să ții legea DOMNULUI Dumnezeu.

Only Yahweh give thee discretion and understanding, and give thee charge over Israel, —so that thou take heed unto the law of Yahweh thy God.

13 Atunci vei prospera, dacă vei lua seama să împlinești statutele și judecățile pe care DOMNUL le-a poruncit lui Moise referitor la Israel; întărește-te și încurajează-te, nu te înspăimânta, nici nu te descuraja.

Then, shalt thou prosper, if thou take heed to do the statutes and the regulations, which Yahweh commanded Moses, concerning Israel, —be strong and bold, thou mayst not be in fear, nor be dismayed.

14 Și, iată, în necazul meu am pregătit pentru casa DOMNULUI o sută de mii de talanți de aur și o mie de mii de talanți de argint; și de aramă și fier fără cântărire, căci este din abundență, lemnărie de asemenea și piatră am pregătit; și tu poți să adaugi la acestea.

Lo! then, in my humiliation, have I prepared for the house of Yahweh, of gold a hundred thousand talents, and of silver a thousand thousand talents, and, as for bronze and iron, without weight, for, an abundance, hath it become, —timber also and stone, have I prepared, and, thereunto, thou canst add.

15 Mai mult, sunt lucrători din abundență cu tine, cioplitori și lucrători în piatră și lemnărie și tot felul de bărbați iscusiți pentru fiecare fel de lucrare.

And, with thee, in abundance, are workmen, hewers and carvers of stone and wood, —and every sort of wise man, in all manner of work:

16 Cât despre aur, argint și aramă și fier, nu este număr. Ridică-te și fă aceasta; și DOMNUL să fie cu tine.

for gold and for silver and for bronze and for iron, without number. Arise and do, and Yahweh be with thee!

17 David de asemenea a poruncit tuturor prinților lui Israel să ajute pe Solomon fiul său, spunând:

And David charged all the rulers of Israel, to help Solomon his son: —

18 Nu este DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru cu voi? și nu v-a dat odihnă de fiecare parte? Căci el a dat pe locuitorii țării în mâna mea; și țara este supusă înaintea DOMNULUI și înaintea poporului său.

Is not, Yahweh your God, with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given into my hand, the inhabitants of the land, and subdued is the land before Yahweh, and before his people.

19 Acum puneți-vă inima și sufletul să căutați pe DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru; ridicați-vă de aceea și construiți sanctuarul DOMNULUI Dumnezeu, pentru a aduce chivotul legământului DOMNULUI și vasele sfinte ale lui Dumnezeu, în casa care va fi construită pentru numele DOMNULUI.

Now, apply your heart and your soul, to seek unto Yahweh your God, —and then arise ye and build the sanctuary of Yahweh Elohim, that ye may bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and the holy vessels of God, into the house which hath been built for the Name of Yahweh.
