The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

6 Și fiii lui Gomer: Așchenaz și Rifat și Togarma.

And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.

7 Și fiii lui Iavan: Elișa și Tarsis, Chitim și Dodanim.

And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.

8 Fiii lui Ham: Cuș și Mițraim, Put și Canaan.

The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

9 Și fiii lui Cuș: Seba și Havila și Sabta și Raema și Sabteca. Și fiii lui Raema: Șeba și Dedan.

And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

10 Și Cuș a născut pe Nimrod, el a început să fie puternic pe pământ.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

11 Și Mițraim a născut pe Ludim și pe Anamim și pe Lehabim și Naftuhim,

And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

12 Și pe Patrusim și pe Casluhim, (din care au venit filistenii) și pe Caftorim.

and Pathrusim, and Casluhim (from whence came the Philistines), and Caphtorim.

13 Și Canaan a născut pe Sidon întâiul său născut și pe Het,

And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth;

14 Pe iebusiți de asemenea și pe amoriți și pe ghirgasiți,

and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite;

15 Și pe hiviți și pe archiți și pe siniți,

and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite;

16 Și pe arvadiți și pe țemariți și pe hamatiți.

and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

17 Fiii lui Sem: Elam și Așur și Arpacșad și Lud și Aram și Uz și Hul și Gheter și Meșec.

The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether., and Meshech.

18 Și Arpacșad a născut pe Șelah și Șelah a născut pe Eber.

And Arpachshad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

19 Și lui Eber i-au fost născuți doi fii, numele unuia era Peleg; deoarece în zilele lui pământul a fost împărțit; și numele fratelui său era Ioctan.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.

20 Și Ioctan a născut pe Almodad și pe Șelef și pe Hațarmavet și pe Ierah,

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah;

21 Pe Hadoram de asemenea și pe Uzal și pe Dicla,

and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah;

22 Și pe Ebal și pe Abimael și pe Seba,

and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba;

23 Și pe Ofir și pe Havila și pe Iobab. Toți aceștia au fost fiii lui Ioctan.

and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; All these were the sons of Joktan.

24 Sem, Arpacșad, Șelah,

Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah;

25 Eber, Peleg, Rehu,

Eber, Peleg, Reu;

26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,

27 Avram, același este Avraam.

Abram (the same is Abraham).

28 Fiii lui Avraam: Isaac și Ismael.

The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

29 Acestea sunt generațiile lor, întâiul născut din Ismael: Nebaiot; apoi Chedar și Adbeel și Mibsam,

These are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

30 Mișma și Duma, Masa, Hadad și Tema,

Mishma, and Dumah, Massa; Hadad, and Tema,

31 Ietur, Nafiș și Chedma. Aceștia sunt fiii lui Ismael.

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

32 Și fiii Cheturei, concubina lui Avraam, ea a născut pe Zimran și pe Iocșan și pe Medan și pe Madian și pe Ișbac și pe Șuah. Și fiii lui Iocșan: Seba și Dedan.

And the sons of Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

33 Și fiii lui Madian: Efa și Efer și Henoc și Abida și Eldaa. Toți aceștia sunt fiii Cheturei.

And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.

34 Și Avraam a născut pe Isaac. Fiii lui Isaac: Esau și Israel.

And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau, and Israel.

35 Fiii lui Esau: Elifaz, Reuel și Ieuș și Iaalam și Core.

The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.

36 Fiii lui Elifaz: Teman și Omar, Țefi și Gatam, Chenaz și Timna și Amalec.

The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

37 Fiii lui Reuel: Nahat, Zerah, Șama și Miza.

The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 Și fiii lui Seir: Lotan și Șobal și Țibeon și Ana și Dișon și Ețer și Dișan.

And the sons of Seir; Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah, and Dishon and Ezer and Dishan.

39 Și fiii lui Lotan: Hori și Homam; și Timna era sora lui Lotan.

And the sons of Lotan; Hori and Homam: and Timna was Lotan’s sister.

40 Fiii lui Șobal: Alian și Manahat și Ebal, Șefi și Onam. Și fiii lui Țibeon: Aia și Ana.

The sons of Shobal; Alian and Manahath and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah and Anah.

41 Fiii lui Ana: Dișon. Și fiii lui Dișon: Amram și Eșban și Itran și Cheran.

The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Hamran and Eshban and Ithran and Cheran.

42 Fiii lui Ețer: Bilhan și Zaavan și Iaacan. Fiii lui Dișan: Uț și Aran.

The sons of Ezer; Bilhan and Zaavan, Jaakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz and Aran.

43 Și aceștia sunt împărații care au domnit în țara lui Edom înainte ca vreun împărat să fi domnit peste copiii lui Israel: Bela, fiul lui Beor; și numele cetății lui era Dinhaba.

Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah,

44 Și după ce Bela a murit, Iobab, fiul lui Zerah din Boțra, a domnit în locul lui.

And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

45 Și după ce Iobab a murit, Hușam din țara temaniților a domnit în locul lui.

And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

46 Și după ce Hușam a murit, Hadad, fiul lui Bedad, care a lovit pe Madian în câmpul lui Moab, a domnit în locul lui, și numele cetății lui era Avit.

And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

47 Și după ce Hadad a murit, Samla, din Masreca, a domnit în locul lui.

And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

48 Și după ce Samla a murit, Saul, din Rehobot, de lângă râu a domnit în locul lui.

And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his stead.

49 Și după ce Saul a murit, Baal-Hanan, fiul lui Ahbor, a domnit în locul lui.

And Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

50 Și după ce Baal-Hanan a murit, Hadad a domnit în locul lui și numele cetății lui era Pai; și numele soției lui era Mehetabeel, fiica lui Matred, fiica lui Mezahab.

And Baal-hanan died, and Hadad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Pai: and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.

51 Hadad a murit de asemenea. Și conducătorii lui Edom erau: conducătorul Timna, conducătorul Alia, conducătorul Ietet,

And Hadad died. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timna, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth;

52 Conducătorul Oholibama, conducătorul Ela, conducătorul Pinon,

duke Oholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon;

53 Conducătorul Chenaz, conducătorul Teman, conducătorul Mibțar,

duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar;

54 Conducătorul Magdiel, conducătorul Iram. Aceștia sunt conducătorii lui Edom.
