Zacarias 2

1 Levantei os olhos, e vi, e eis que um homem com uma linha de medição na mão.

I lift vp mine eyes againe and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.

2 Então perguntei: “Para onde você vai?”. Ele me disse: “Para medir Jerusalém, para ver qual é sua largura e qual é seu comprimento”.

Then saide I, Whither goest thou? And he saide vnto me, To measure Ierusalem, that I may see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

3 Eis que o anjo que falou comigo saiu, e outro anjo saiu ao seu encontro,

And beholde, the Angel that talked with me, went foorth: and another Angel went out to meete him,

4 e lhe disse: “Corra, fale com este jovem, dizendo: 'Jerusalém será habitada como aldeias sem muros, por causa da multidão de homens e gado que há nela.

And saide vnto him, Runne, speake to this yong man, and say, Ierusalem shalbe inhabited without walles, for the multitude of men and cattell therein.

5 Pois eu”, diz Javé, “serei para ela um muro de fogo ao seu redor, e eu serei a glória no meio dela”.

For I, saith the Lord, will be vnto her a wall of fire round about, and wil be the glory in the middes of her.

6 Venha! Venha! Fuja da terra do norte', diz Yahweh; 'pois eu os espalhei no exterior como os quatro ventos do céu', diz Yahweh.

Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the North, saith the Lord: for I haue scattered you into the foure winds of the heauen, saith ye Lord.

7 'Venha, Zion! Fuja, você que mora com a filha da Babilônia'.

Saue thy selfe, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babel.

8 Pois Javé de Exércitos diz: 'Por honra ele me enviou às nações que te saquearam; pois aquele que te toca toca na maçã de seu olho'.

For thus saith the Lord of hostes, After this glory hath hee sent me vnto the nations, which spoyled you: for he that toucheth you, toucheth the apple of his eye.

9 Pois eis que eu apertarei minha mão sobre eles, e eles serão um saque para aqueles que os serviram; e sabereis que Javé dos Exércitos me enviou”.

For beholde, I will lift vp mine hand vpon them: and they shalbe a spoyle to those that serued them, and ye shall knowe, that the Lord of hostes hath sent me.

10 Sing e regozije-se, filha de Sião! Pois eis que eu venho e habitarei dentro de ti”, diz Javé.

Reioyce, and be glad, O daughter Zion: for loe, I come, and will dwell in the middes of thee, saith the Lord.

11 Many nações se unirão a Javé nesse dia, e serão meu povo; e habitarei entre vós, e sabereis que Javé dos Exércitos me enviou a vós.

And many nations shall be ioyned to the Lord in that day, and shalbe my people: and I will dwell in the middes of thee, and thou shalt knowe that the Lord of hostes hath sent me vnto thee.

12 Iavé herdará Judá como sua porção na terra santa, e escolherá novamente Jerusalém.

And the Lord shall inherite Iudah his portion in the holy lande, and shall chuse Ierusalem againe.

13 Silêncio, toda carne, perante Javé; pois ele se despertou de sua santa morada”!

Let all flesh be still before the Lord: for he is raised vp out of his holy place.
