Romanos 15
1 Agora nós que somos fortes devemos suportar as fraquezas dos fracos, e não para agradar a nós mesmos.
We then who are strong ought to hear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let cada um de nós agradamos ao próximo por aquilo que é bom, para estarmos construindo-o.
Let each one of us please his neighbor, to promote what is good, for edification.
3 Pois até mesmo Cristo não agradou a si mesmo. Mas, como está escrito: “As reprovações daqueles que vos reprovaram caíram sobre mim”.
For Christ did not seek his own pleasure, but, as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached thee fell on me.”
4 Pois o que quer que tenha sido escrito antes foi escrito para nosso aprendizado, que através da perseverança e do encorajamento das Escrituras, possamos ter esperança.
For whatever things were written aforetime, were written for our instruction; that we through the patience and the consolation of the Scriptures might have hope.
5 Agora o Deus da perseverança e do encorajamento vos conceda que sejais da mesma mente uns para com os outros segundo Cristo Jesus,
And may the God of patience and consolation grant that ye may be of the same mind one with another, according to Christ Jesus;
6 para que, com um só acordo, glorifiqueis com uma só boca o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Portanto, aceitai-vos uns aos outros, mesmo como Cristo também vos aceitou, para a glória de Deus.
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ received you to the glory of God.
8 Agora eu digo que Cristo foi feito servo da circuncisão pela verdade de Deus, para confirmar as promessas feitas aos pais,
For I say that Christ became a minister to the circumcised for the sake of God's truth, in order to make sure the promises given to the fathers;
9 e para que os gentios glorifiquem a Deus por sua misericórdia. Como está escrito, “Portanto, eu vos louvarei entre os gentios. e cantem em seu nome”.
and that the gentiles glorified God for his mercy, as it is written, “For this cause I will give praise to thee among the gentiles, and sing to thy name.”
10 Mais uma vez ele diz, “Alegrai-vos, gentios, com o seu povo”.
And again he saith: “Rejoice, ye gentiles, with his people.”
11 Novamente, “Louvado seja o Senhor, todos vocês gentios! Que todos os povos o elogiem”.
And again: “Praise the Lord, all ye gentiles, and let every people praise him.”
12 Mais uma vez, diz Isaías, “Haverá a raiz de Jesse”, aquele que se levanta para governar os gentios; nele, os gentios terão esperança”.
And again Isaiah saith: “There shall be the shoot from Jesse, and he that riseth up to rule the gentiles; in him shall the gentiles hope.”
13 Agora que o Deus da esperança vos encha de toda alegria e paz em crer, para que possais abundar em esperança no poder do Espírito Santo.
And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
14 Eu mesmo também estou convencido sobre vocês, meus irmãos, que vocês mesmos são cheios de bondade, cheios de todo o conhecimento, capazes também de admoestar os outros.
But I myself am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye are even of yourselves full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15 Mas escrevo-vos com mais ousadia em parte como lembrando-vos, por causa da graça que me foi dada por Deus,
But I have written to you, brethren, in a manner somewhat bold on some subjects, as putting you in mind, on account of the grace given me by God
16 que eu deveria ser um servo de Cristo Jesus para os gentios, servindo como sacerdote da Boa Nova de Deus, para que a oferta dos gentios se tornasse aceitável, santificada pelo Espírito Santo.
that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the gentiles, performing the office of a priest in respect to the gospel of God, that the oblation of the gentiles may be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17 Tenho, portanto, minha jactância em Cristo Jesus em coisas pertencentes a Deus.
I have then ground for glorying in Christ Jesus in regard to the things pertaining m God.
18 Pois não ousarei falar de nenhuma coisa, exceto daquelas que Cristo trabalhou através de mim para a obediência dos gentios, por palavras e obras,
For I will not be bold to say anything hut of what Christ hath actually wrought by me to bring the gentiles to obedience by word and deed,
19 no poder dos sinais e maravilhas, no poder do Espírito de Deus; para que de Jerusalém e arredores até Illyricum, eu tenha pregado plenamente a Boa Nova de Cristo;
by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and in the country around even to Illyricum, I have fully made known the gospel of Christ;
20 sim, fazendo com que seja meu objetivo pregar a Boa Nova, não onde Cristo já foi nomeado, para que eu não possa construir sobre os alicerces de outro.
but always earnestly desirous to preach it in this manner, —not where Christ had been named, that I might not build on another's foundation,
21 Mas, como está escrito, “Eles verão, a quem não chegou nenhuma notícia dele. Aqueles que não ouviram, entenderão”.
but, as it is written: “They, to whom no tidings concerning him came, shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand.”
22 Portanto, também fui impedido muitas vezes de vir até você,
For which cause also, for the most part, I have been hindered from coming to you.
23 mas agora, não tendo mais nenhum lugar nestas regiões, e tendo estes muitos anos um desejo de vir até você,
But now having no more opportunity in these regions, and having had for many years a great desire to come to you,
24 sempre que eu viajar para a Espanha, eu irei até você. Pois espero vê-lo em minha viagem, e ser ajudado por você em meu caminho até lá, se primeiro eu puder desfrutar de sua companhia por um tempo.
when I go to Spain, I will come to you; for I hope to see you on my way, and to be helped forward thither by you, after I have in some degree satisfied myself with your company.
25 Mas agora, digo, estou indo para Jerusalém, servindo os santos.
But now I am going to Jerusalem on a service of relief to the saints.
26 Pois foi um grande prazer para a Macedônia e Achaia dar uma certa contribuição para os pobres entre os santos que estão em Jerusalém.
For Macedonia and Achaia have thought it good to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.
27 Sim, foi um bom prazer para eles e eles são seus devedores. Pois se os gentios foram feitos participantes de suas coisas espirituais, eles também devem a eles servi-los em coisas materiais.
They have thought it good, and they owed it to them. For if the gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they ought in return to minister to them in temporal things.
28 Quando eu tiver conseguido isto, e lhes tiver selado este fruto, irei por meio de vocês para a Espanha.
When therefore I have completed this business, and secured to them this fruit, I shall set out to pass through you to Spain.
29 Sei que quando chegar a vocês, virei na plenitude da bênção da Boa Nova de Cristo.
And I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
30 Agora eu vos peço, irmãos, por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo e pelo amor do Espírito, que vos esforceis juntamente comigo em vossas orações a Deus por mim,
But I beseech you, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love produced by the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in prayers to God for me;
31 para que eu seja libertado daqueles que são desobedientes na Judéia, e que meu serviço que tenho para Jerusalém seja aceitável para os santos,
that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judaea, and that my service for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the saints;
32 para que eu possa vir a vós com alegria através da vontade de Deus, e junto a vós, encontrar o descanso.
so that, through the will of God, I may come to you in joy, and may with you be refreshed.
33 Agora o Deus da paz esteja com todos vós. Amém.
And may the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
