Romanos 13
1 Que cada alma esteja sujeita às autoridades superiores, pois não há autoridade, a não ser de Deus, e as que existem são ordenadas por Deus.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Portanto, aquele que resiste à autoridade resiste à ordenança de Deus; e aqueles que resistem receberão para si mesmos o julgamento.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 Pois os governantes não são um terror para a boa obra, mas para a má. Você não deseja ter medo da autoridade? Faça o que é bom, e você terá louvor da autoridade,
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 pois ele é um servo de Deus para você para o bem. Mas se fizerdes o que é mau, temei, pois ele não leva a espada em vão; pois ele é um servo de Deus, um vingador da ira para aquele que faz o mal.
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Portanto, você precisa estar sujeito, não somente por causa da ira, mas também por causa da consciência.
Wherefore [ye] must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 Por esta razão, você também paga impostos, pois eles são servos do serviço de Deus, fazendo isto mesmo continuamente.
For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Therefore dê a todos o que você deve: se você deve impostos, pague impostos; se deve alfândega, então alfândega; se deve respeito, então respeito; se deve honra, então honra.
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute [is due]; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
8 Não devemos nada a ninguém, exceto amar-nos uns aos outros; pois aquele que ama o próximo cumpriu a lei.
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 Pois os mandamentos: “Não cometerás adultério”, “Não matarás”, “Não roubarás”, “Não cobiçarás”, e quaisquer outros mandamentos que existam, estão todos resumidos neste ditado, a saber: “Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo”.
For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if [there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 O amor não prejudica o próximo. O amor, portanto, é o cumprimento da lei.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love [is] the fulfilling of the law.
11 Faça isso, sabendo o tempo, que já é hora de você acordar do sono, pois a salvação está agora mais próxima de nós do que quando acreditávamos pela primeira vez.
And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 A noite está longe, e o dia está próximo. Vamos, portanto, lançar fora os atos das trevas, e vamos colocar a armadura da luz.
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let caminha corretamente, como de dia; não em revelações e embriaguez, não em promiscuidade sexual e atos luxuriosos, e não em contendas e ciúmes.
Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 Mas revestir-se do Senhor Jesus Cristo, e não fazer provisões para a carne, para suas luxúrias.
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof.]
