Salmos 84
1 Para o músico chefe. Sobre um instrumento de Gate. Um salmo pelos filhos de Corá. How adoráveis são suas moradias, Yahweh dos Exércitos!
“For the leader of the music. On the Gittith. A psalm of the sons of Korah.” How lovely are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
2 Minha alma anseia, e até desmaia para os tribunais de Yahweh. Meu coração e minha carne clamam por um Deus vivo.
My soul longeth, yea, fainteth, for the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry aloud for the living God.
3 Sim, o pardal encontrou um lar, e a andorinha um ninho para si mesma, onde ela pode ter seus filhotes, perto de seus altares, Javé dos Exércitos, meu Rei, e meu Deus.
The very sparrow findeth an abode, And the swallow a nest, where they may lay their young, By thine altars, O LORD of hosts, My king and my God!
4 Blessed são aqueles que moram em sua casa. Eles estão sempre elogiando você. (Selah)
Happy they who dwell in thy house, Who are continually praising thee! (Pause)
5 Abençoados são aqueles cuja força está em você, que puseram seus corações em peregrinação.
Happy the man whose glory is in thee, In whose heart are the ways [[to Jerusalem]]!
6 Passing através do vale de Weeping, eles fazem dele um lugar de nascentes. Sim, a chuva de outono a cobre com bênçãos.
Passing through the valley of Baca, they make it a fountain; and the early rain covereth it with blessings.
7 Eles vão de força em força. Cada um deles aparece diante de Deus em Sião.
They go on from strength to strength; Every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.
8 Yahweh, Deus dos Exércitos, ouça minha oração. Ouça, Deus de Jacob. (Selah)
Hear my prayer, O LORD, God of hosts! Give ear, O God of Jacob! (Pause)
9 Behold, Deus, nosso escudo, olhe para o rosto de seu ungido.
Look down, O God! our shield, And behold the face of thine anointed!
10 Por um dia em seus tribunais é melhor do que mil. Eu preferia ser porteiro na casa de meu Deus, do que habitar nas tendas da maldade.
For a day spent in thy courts is better than a thousand: I would rather stand on the threshold of the house of my God, Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 Para Yahweh Deus é um sol e um escudo. Yahweh dará graça e glória. Ele não retém nada de bom daqueles que caminham sem culpa.
For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; The LORD giveth grace and glory; No good thing doth he withhold From them that walk uprightly.
12 Yahweh dos exércitos, bendito é o homem que confia em você.
O LORD of hosts! Happy the man who trusteth in thee!
