Salmos 81
1 Para o músico chefe. Sobre um instrumento de Gate. Por Asaph. Sing em voz alta para Deus, nossa força! Faça um grito alegre para o Deus de Jacob!
To the Overseer. — 'On the Gittith.' By Asaph. Cry aloud to God our strength, Shout to the God of Jacob.
2 Levante uma canção, e traga aqui o pandeiro, a lira agradável com a harpa.
Lift up a song, and give out a timbrel, A pleasant harp with psaltery.
3 Blow a trombeta na Lua Nova, na lua cheia, no dia da nossa festa.
Blow in the month a trumpet, In the new moon, at the day of our festival,
4 Pois trata-se de um estatuto para Israel, uma ordenança do Deus de Jacob.
For a statute to Israel it [is], An ordinance of the God of Jacob.
5 Ele o nomeou em Joseph para um convênio, quando ele saiu sobre a terra do Egito, Ouvi uma linguagem que eu não conhecia.
A testimony on Joseph He hath placed it, In his going forth over the land of Egypt. A lip, I have not known — I hear.
6 “Eu removi seu ombro do fardo. Suas mãos foram liberadas da cesta.
From the burden his shoulder I turned aside, His hands from the basket pass over.
7 Você chamou em apuros, e eu o entreguei. Respondi-lhe no lugar secreto dos trovões. Eu te testei nas águas do Meribah”. (Selah)
In distress thou hast called and I deliver thee, I answer thee in the secret place of thunder, I try thee by the waters of Meribah. (Selah)
8 “Ouça, meu povo, e eu testemunharei a você, Israel, se você me der ouvidos!
Hear, O My people, and I testify to thee, O Israel, if thou dost hearken to me:
9 There não deve ser um deus estranho em você, nem adorareis nenhum deus estrangeiro.
There is not in thee a strange god, And thou bowest not thyself to a strange god.
10 Eu sou Yahweh, seu Deus, que o trouxeram para fora da terra do Egito. Abra bem a boca, e eu a encherei.
I [am] Jehovah thy God, Who bringeth thee up out of the land of Egypt. Enlarge thy mouth, and I fill it.
11 Mas meu povo não deu ouvidos à minha voz. Israel não desejava nenhum de mim.
But, My people hearkened not to My voice, And Israel hath not consented to Me.
12 Por isso os deixei ir atrás da teimosia de seus corações, que eles possam caminhar em seus próprios conselhos.
And I send them away in the enmity of their heart, They walk in their own counsels.
13 Oh que meu povo me escutaria, que Israel caminharia em meus caminhos!
O that My people were hearkening to Me, Israel in My ways would walk.
14 Eu logo subjugaria seus inimigos, e virar minha mão contra seus adversários.
As a little thing their enemies I cause to bow, And against their adversaries I turn back My hand,
15 Os detratores de Yahweh se encolheriam diante dele, e sua punição duraria para sempre.
Those hating Jehovah feign obedience to Him, But their time is — to the age.
16 Mas ele também os teria alimentado com o melhor do trigo. Vou satisfazê-lo com mel fora da rocha”.
He causeth him to eat of the fat of wheat, And [with] honey from a rock I satisfy thee!
