1 Para o músico chefe; em um instrumento de Gate. Um salmo de David. Yahweh, nosso Senhor, quão majestoso é seu nome em toda a terra! Você colocou sua glória acima dos céus!

For the leader: A psalm of David, to be accompanied by a stringed instrument. Lord our God! How glorious in all the earth is your name! Your praise reaches as high as the heavens,

2 A partir dos lábios de bebês e bebês que você estabeleceu força, por causa de seus adversários, para que você possa silenciar o inimigo e o vingador.

from the mouths of children and infants. You have built a fortress against your enemies, to silence the foe and the rebel.

3 When Eu considero seus céus, o trabalho de seus dedos, a lua e as estrelas, que você ordenou,

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set there,

4 o que é o homem, que você pensa dele? O que é o filho do homem, que você cuida dele?

what are mortals, that you think of them, humans, that you visit them?

5 Pois você o fez um pouco mais baixo do que os anjos, e o coroou com glória e honra.

Yet you made them little less than divine, crowned them with glory and majesty,

6 Você o faz governar sobre as obras de suas mãos. Você colocou todas as coisas debaixo dos pés dele:

made them lord of the works of your hands, put all things under their feet –

7 Todos os ovinos e bovinos, sim, e os animais do campo,

sheep and oxen, all of them; and the wild beasts also:

8 os pássaros do céu, os peixes do mar, e o que quer que passe através dos caminhos dos mares.

birds of the air, and fish of the sea, and all that crosses the paths of the ocean.

9 Yahweh, nosso Senhor, quão majestoso é seu nome em toda a terra!

Lord our God! How glorious in all the earth is your name!
