Salmos 78
1 Uma contemplação de Asaph. Ouça meus ensinamentos, meu povo. Vire seus ouvidos para as palavras da minha boca.
The lernyng of Asaph. Mi puple, perseyue ye my lawe; bowe youre eere in to the wordis of my mouth.
2 Vou abrir minha boca em uma parábola. Vou proferir ditados sombrios de antigamente,
I schal opene my mouth in parablis; Y schal speke perfite resouns fro the bigynnyng.
3 que já ouvimos e conhecemos, e nossos pais nos disseram.
Hou grete thingis han we herd, aud we han knowe tho; and oure fadris. telden to vs.
4 Não vamos escondê-los de seus filhos, dizendo à geração vindoura os louvores de Yahweh, sua força e seus feitos maravilhosos que ele fez.
Tho ben not hid fro the sones of hem; in anothir generacioun. And thei telden the heriyngis of the Lord, and the vertues of hym; and hise merueilis, whyche he dide.
5 Pois ele estabeleceu um convênio em Jacob, e nomeou um professor em Israel, que ele comandou a nossos pais, que eles devem dar a conhecer a seus filhos;
And he reiside witnessyng in Jacob; and he settide lawe in Israel. Hou grete thingis comaundide he to oure fadris, to make tho knowun to her sones;
6 que a geração vindoura talvez saiba, mesmo as crianças que deveriam nascer; que devem se levantar e dizer aos filhos,
that another generacioun knowe. Sones, that schulen be born, and schulen rise vp; schulen telle out to her sones.
7 para que eles possam depositar sua esperança em Deus, e não esquecer as obras de Deus, mas cumprir seus mandamentos,
That thei sette her hope in God, and foryete not the werkis of God; and that thei seke hise comaundementis.
8 e podem não ser como seus pais... uma geração teimosa e rebelde, uma geração que não tornou seus corações leais, cujo espírito não era inabalável com Deus.
Lest thei be maad a schrewid generacioun; and terrynge to wraththe, as the fadris of hem. A generacioun that dresside not his herte; and his spirit was not bileued with God.
9 Os filhos de Efraim, estando armados e carregando arcos, voltaram no dia da batalha.
The sones of Effraym, bendinge a bouwe and sendynge arowis; weren turned in the dai of batel.
10 Eles não cumpriram o pacto de Deus, e se recusou a andar em sua lei.
Thei kepten not the testament of God; and thei nolden go in his lawe.
11 Esqueceram seus feitos, seus feitos maravilhosos que ele lhes havia mostrado.
And thei foryaten hise benefices; and hise merueils, whiche he schewide to hem.

13 Ele dividiu o mar, e os fez passar. Ele fez as águas ficarem como uma pilha.

14 Durante o dia, ele também os conduziu com uma nuvem, e a noite inteira com uma luz de fogo.
And he ledde hem forth in a cloude of the dai; and al niyt in the liytnyng of fier.
15 He rochas rachadas no deserto, e lhes deu bebida em abundância como se estivesse fora das profundezas.
He brak a stoon in deseert; and he yaf watir to hem as in a myche depthe.
16 Ele trouxe riachos também para fora da rocha, e fez com que as águas desaguassem como rios.
And he ledde watir out of the stoon; and he ledde forth watris as floodis.
17 Mesmo assim, eles continuaram a pecar contra ele, para se rebelar contra o Altíssimo no deserto.
And thei `leiden to yit to do synne ayens hym; thei excitiden hiye God in to ire, in a place with out water.
18 Eles tentaram a Deus em seu coração pedindo comida de acordo com seu desejo.
And thei temptiden God in her hertis; that thei axiden meetis to her lyues.
19 Yes, eles falaram contra Deus. Eles disseram: “Deus pode preparar uma mesa no deserto?
And thei spaken yuel of God; thei seiden, Whether God may make redi a bord in desert?
20 Eis que ele bateu na rocha, de modo que as águas jorraram para fora, e fluxos transbordaram. Ele também pode dar pão? Ele vai fornecer carne para seu povo?”
For he smoot a stoon, and watris flowiden; and streemys yeden out in aboundaunce. Whether also he may yyue breed; ether make redi a bord to his puple?
21 Por isso Yahweh ouviu, e ficou furioso. Um incêndio foi acendido contra Jacob, A raiva também foi contra Israel,
Therfor the Lord herde, and delaiede; and fier was kindelid in Jacob, and the ire of God stiede on Israel.
22 porque eles não acreditavam em Deus, e não confiava na sua salvação.
For thei bileueden not in God; nether hopiden in his heelthe.
23 Yet ele comandou os céus acima, e abriu as portas do céu.
And he comaundide to the cloudis aboue; and he openyde the yatis of heuene.
24 Ele chovia maná sobre eles para comer, e lhes deu comida do céu.
And he reynede to hem manna for to eete; and he yaf to hem breed of heuene.
25 O homem comeu o pão dos anjos. Ele lhes enviou alimentos em sua totalidade.
Man eet the breed of aungels; he sent to hem meetis in aboundance.
26 Ele causou o vento leste soprando no céu. Pelo seu poder, ele guiou o vento sul.
He turnede ouere the south wynde fro heuene; and he brouyte in bi his vertu the weste wynde.
27 Ele também choveu carne sobre eles como poeira, aves aladas como a areia dos mares.
And he reynede fleischis as dust on hem; and `he reinede volatils fethered, as the grauel of the see.
28 Ele os deixou cair no meio de seu acampamento, ao redor de suas habitações.
And tho felden doun in the myddis of her castels; aboute the tabernaclis of hem.
29 Então eles comeram, e estavam bem cheios. Ele lhes deu seu próprio desejo.
And thei eeten, and weren fillid greetli, and he brouyte her desire to hem;
30 Eles não se desviaram de seus anseios. Seus alimentos ainda estavam em suas bocas,
thei weren not defraudid of her desier. Yit her metis weren in her mouth;
31 quando a raiva de Deus se levantou contra eles, mataram alguns de seus mais fortes, e atingiu os jovens de Israel.
and the ire of God stiede on hem. And he killide the fatte men of hem; and he lettide the chosene men of Israel.
32 Por tudo isso, eles ainda pecaram, e não acreditava em suas obras maravilhosas.
In alle these thingis thei synneden yit; and bileuede not in the merueils of God.
33 Therefore ele consumiu seus dias na vaidade, e seus anos de terror.
And the daies of hem failiden in vanytee; and the yeeris of hem faileden with haste.
34 Quando ele os matou, então eles perguntaram por ele. Eles retornaram e buscaram a Deus com seriedade.
Whanne he killide hem, thei souyten hym; and turneden ayen, and eerli thei camen to hym.
35 Eles se lembraram que Deus era sua rocha, o Deus Altíssimo, seu redentor.
And thei bithouyten, that God is the helper of hem; and `the hiy God is the ayenbier of hem.
36 But eles o lisonjearam com sua boca, e lhe mentiram com a língua.
And thei loueden hym in her mouth; and with her tunge thei lieden to hym.
37 Pois o coração deles não estava bem com ele, nem eram fiéis ao seu pacto.
Forsothe the herte of hem was not riytful with hym; nethir thei weren had feithful in his testament.
38 Mas ele, sendo misericordioso, perdoou a iniqüidade e não os destruiu. Sim, muitas vezes ele virou sua raiva para longe, e não despertou toda sua fúria.
But he is merciful, and he schal be maad merciful to the synnes of hem; and he schal not destrie hem. And he dide greetli, to turne awei his yre; and he kyndelide not al his ire.
39 Ele lembrou que eles eram apenas carne, um vento que passa, e não volta mais.
And he bithouyte, that thei ben fleische; a spirit goynge, and not turnynge ayen.
40 Quantas vezes eles se rebelaram contra ele no deserto, e o entristeceu no deserto!
Hou oft maden thei hym wrooth in desert; thei stireden hym in to ire in a place with out watir.
41 Eles se voltaram novamente e tentaram a Deus, e provocou o Santo de Israel.
And thei weren turned, and temptiden God; and thei wraththiden the hooli of Israel.
42 Eles não se lembravam de sua mão, nem o dia em que ele os resgatou do adversário;
Thei bithouyten not on his hond; in the dai in the which he ayen bouyte hem fro the hond of the trobler.
43 como ele colocou seus sinais no Egito, suas maravilhas no campo de Zoan,
As he settide hise signes in Egipt; and hise grete wondris in the feeld of Taphneos.
44 ele transformou seus rios em sangue, e suas correntes, para que não pudessem beber.
And he turnede the flodis of hem and the reynes of hem in to blood; that thei schulden not drynke.
45 Ele enviou entre eles enxames de moscas, que os devoraram; e sapos, que os destruíram.
He sente a fleisch flie in to hem, and it eet hem; and he sente a paddok, and it loste hem.
46 Ele também deu seu aumento para a lagarta, e seu trabalho para o gafanhoto.
And he yaf the fruytis of hem to rust; and he yaf the trauels of hem to locustis.
47 He destruíram suas vinhas com granizo, suas figueiras de sicômoro com geada.
And he killide the vynes of hem bi hail; and the moore trees of hem bi a frost.
48 He também entregaram seu gado ao granizo, e seus rebanhos a trovões quentes.
And he bitook the beestis of hem to hail; and the possessioun of hem to fier.
49 Ele jogou sobre eles a ferocidade de sua raiva, ira, indignação e problemas, e um bando de anjos do mal.
He sente in to hem the ire of his indignacioun; indignacioun, and ire, and tribulacioun, sendingis in bi iuel aungels.
50 Ele fez um caminho para sua raiva. Ele não poupou a alma deles da morte, mas deram sua vida à pestilência,
He made weie to the path of his ire, and he sparide not fro the deth of her lyues; and he closide togidere in deth the beestis of hem.
51 e atingiu todos os primogênitos no Egito, o chefe de sua força nas tendas de Ham.
And he smoot al the first gendrid thing in the lond of Egipt; the first fruytis of alle the trauel of hem in the tabernaclis of Cham.
52 Mas ele conduziu seu próprio povo como ovelhas, e os guiou no deserto como um rebanho.
And he took awei his puple as scheep; and he ledde hem forth as a flok in desert.
53 Ele os conduziu com segurança, para que eles não tivessem medo, mas o mar dominou seus inimigos.
And he ledde hem forth in hope, and thei dredden not; and the see hilide the enemyes of hem.
54 Ele os trouxe para a fronteira de seu santuário, a esta montanha, que sua mão direita havia levado.
And he brouyte hem in to the hil of his halewyng; in to the hil which his riythond gat. And he castide out hethene men fro the face of hem; and bi lot he departide to hem the lond in a cord of delyng.
55 Ele também expulsou as nações antes delas, os destinou para uma herança por linha, e fez as tribos de Israel morarem em suas tendas.
And he made the lynagis of Israel to dwelle in the tabernaclis of hem.
56 No entanto, eles tentaram e se rebelaram contra o Deus Altíssimo, e não guardou seus depoimentos,
And thei temptiden, and wraththiden heiy God; and thei kepten not hise witnessyngis.
57 but voltou atrás, e tratou traiçoeiramente como seus pais. Eles foram torcidos como um arco enganoso.
And thei turneden awei hem silf, and thei kepten not couenaunt; as her fadris weren turned in to a schrewid bouwe.
58 Pois eles o provocaram à raiva com seus lugares altos, e o levou a ter ciúmes com suas imagens gravadas.
Thei stiriden him in to ire in her litle hillis; and thei terriden hym to indignacioun of her grauen ymagis.
59 Quando Deus ouviu isto, ele ficou furioso, e abominava muito Israel,
God herde, and forsook; and brouyte to nouyt Israel greetli.
60 so que ele abandonou a tenda de Shiloh, a tenda que ele colocou entre os homens,
And he puttide awei the tabernacle of Sylo; his tabernacle where he dwellide among men.
61 e entregou sua força ao cativeiro, sua glória nas mãos do adversário.
And he bitook the vertu of hem in to caitiftee; and the fairnesse of hem in to the hondis of the enemye.
62 Ele também entregou seu povo à espada, e estava zangado com sua herança.
And he closide togidere his puple in swerd; and he dispiside his erytage.
63 O fogo devorou seus jovens. Suas virgens não tinham canção de casamento.
Fier eet the yonge men of hem; and the virgyns of hem weren not biweilid.
64 Seus sacerdotes caíram pela espada, e suas viúvas não conseguiam chorar.
The prestis of hem fellen doun bi swerd; and the widewis of hem weren not biwept.
65 Then o Senhor despertou como se estivesse fora do sono, como um homem poderoso que grita por causa do vinho.
And the Lord was reisid, as slepynge; as miyti greetli fillid of wiyn.
66 Ele bateu em seus adversários para trás. Ele os reprova perpetuamente.
And he smoot hise enemyes on the hynderere partis; he yaf to hem euerlastyng schenschipe.
67 Moreover ele rejeitou a tenda de José, e não escolheu a tribo de Efraim,
And he puttide awei the tabernacle of Joseph; and he chees not the lynage of Effraym.
68 Mas escolheu a tribo de Judá, O Monte Zion, que ele amava.
But he chees the lynage of Juda; he chees the hil of Syon, which he louede.
69 Ele construiu seu santuário como as alturas, como a terra que ele estabeleceu para sempre.
And he as an vnicorn bildide his hooli place; in the lond, which he foundide in to worldis.
70 Ele também escolheu David, seu criado, e o tirou dos apriscos das ovelhas;
And he chees Dauid his seruaunt, and took hym vp fro the flockis of scheep; he took hym fro bihynde scheep with lambren.
71 de seguir as ovelhas que têm seus filhotes, ele o trouxe para ser o pastor de Jacob, seu povo, e Israel, sua herança.
To feed Jacob his seruaunt; and Israel his eritage.
72 So ele era seu pastor de acordo com a integridade de seu coração, e os guiou pela habilidade de suas mãos.
And he fedde hem in the innocens of his herte; and he ledde hem forth in the vndurstondyngis of his hondis.
