Salmos 75

1 Para o músico chefe. Ao som da música “Não Destruir”. Um Salmo de Asaph. Uma canção. We agradeça a você, Deus. Damos graças, pois seu nome está próximo. Os homens contam sobre suas obras maravilhosas.

To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, A Psalm [or] Song of Asaph. Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, [unto thee] do we give thanks: for [that] thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

2 When Eu escolho a hora marcada, Julgarei sem culpa.

When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.

3 A terra e todos os seus habitantes tremem. Eu seguro firmemente seus pilares. (Selah)

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. (Selah)

4 Eu disse ao arrogante: “Não se vanglorie”! Eu disse aos ímpios: “Não levantem a buzina”.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

5 Não levante sua buzina no alto. Não fale com o pescoço duro”.

Lift not up your horn on high: speak [not with] a stiff neck.

6 Para nem do leste, nem do oeste, nem ainda do sul, vem a exaltação.

For promotion [cometh] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

7 Mas Deus é o juiz. Ele abaixa um, e levanta outro.

But God [is] the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

8 Pois na mão de Yahweh há um copo, cheio de vinho espumante misturado com especiarias. Ele a derrama. De fato, os ímpios da terra bebem e bebem até a sua própria borra.

For in the hand of the LORD [there is] a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring [them] out, [and] drink [them].

9 Mas vou declarar isto para sempre: Vou cantar louvores ao Deus de Jacó.

But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10 Eu cortarei todos os chifres dos ímpios, mas os chifres dos justos devem ser levantados.

All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
