1 Para o músico chefe. Para um instrumento de cordas. Por David. Hear meu grito, Deus. Ouça minha oração.

To the Chief Musician. Upon a Stringed Instrument. David’s. Hear, O God, my loud cry, Attend unto my prayer:

2 Desde o fim do mundo, chamarei a vocês quando meu coração estiver sobrecarregado. Leve-me até a rocha que é mais alta que eu.

From the end of the earth, unto thee do I cry, When my heart fainteth away, Unto a rock that is higher than I, wilt thou lead me.

3 Para mim, você tem sido um refúgio, uma torre forte do inimigo.

For thou hast been, A Refuge to me, A Tower of Strength, from the face of the foe.

4 Eu habitarei em sua tenda para sempre. Refugiar-me-ei no abrigo de suas asas. (Selah)

I would be a guest in thy tent to the ages, I would seek refuge in the concealment of thy wings. (Selah)

5 Para você, Deus, ouviu meus votos. Você me deu a herança daqueles que temem seu nome.

For, thou, O God, hast hearkened to my vows, Thou hast granted a possession, unto them who revere thy Name.

6 Você vai prolongar a vida do rei. Seus anos serão por gerações.

Days—unto the days of the king, wilt thou add. His years, as of generation after generation:

7 Ele será entronizado na presença de Deus para sempre. Aponte sua bondade e verdade amorosas, para que elas possam preservá-lo.

Let him retain his seat age-abidingly before God, Appoint that, lovingkindness and faithfulness, my watch over him!

8 Portanto, cantarei louvores ao seu nome para sempre, que eu possa cumprir meus votos diariamente.

So, will I sing thy Name unto futurity, Paying my vows, day by day.
