Salmos 60
1 Para o músico chefe. Ao som de “O Lírio do Convênio”. Um poema didático de David, quando ele lutou com Aram Naharaim e com Aram Zobah, e Joab voltou, e matou doze mil Edom no Vale do Sal. God, você nos rejeitou. Você nos derrubou. Você tem ficado bravo. Restaure-nos, novamente.
For the end, for them that shall yet be changed; for an inscription by David for instruction, when he [had] burned Mesopotamia of Syria, and Syria Sobal, and Joab [had] returned and struck [in] the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, you have rejected and destroyed us; you have been angry, yet have pitied us.
2 Você fez a terra tremer. Você o rasgou. Consertar suas fraturas, por causa de seus tremores.
You have shaken the earth, and troubled it; heal its breaches, for it has been shaken.
3 Você tem mostrado ao seu povo coisas difíceis. Você nos fez beber o vinho que nos faz cambalear.
You have shown your people hard things: you has made us drink the wine of astonishment.
4 Você deu um banner para aqueles que o temem, que pode ser exibido por causa da verdade. (Selah)
You have given a token to them that fear you, that they might flee from the bow. (Pause)
5 para que sua amada possa ser entregue, economize com sua mão direita e nos responda.
That your beloved ones may be delivered; save with your right hand, and hear me.
6 Deus falou a partir de seu santuário: “Eu vou triunfar. Vou dividir o Shechem, e medir o vale de Succoth.
God has spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, and divide Sicima, and measure out the valley of tents.
7 Gilead é meu, e Manasseh é meu. Ephraim também é a defesa da minha cabeça. Judah é meu ceptro.
Galaad is mine, and Manasse is mine; and Ephraim is the strength of my head;
8 Moab é o meu lavatório. Vou jogar minha sandália na Edom. Eu grito em triunfo sobre a Filístia”.
Judas is my king; Moab is the caldron of my hope; over Idumea will I stretch out my shoe; the Philistines have been subjected to me.
9 Quem me trará para a cidade forte? Quem me levou à Edom?
Who will lead me into the fortified city? who will guide me as far a Idumea?
10 Haven você, Deus, não nos rejeitou? Você não sai com nossos exércitos, Deus.
Will not you, O God, who have cast us off? and will not you, O God, go forth with our forces?
11 Give nós ajudamos contra o adversário, pois a ajuda do homem é vaidosa.
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the deliverance of man.
12 Através de Deus, faremos valentemente, pois é ele quem vai pisar em nossos adversários.
In God will we do valiantly; and he shall bring to nothing them that harass us.
