Salmos 44
1 Para o músico chefe. Pelos filhos de Corá. Um salmo contemplativo. We ouvimos com nossos ouvidos, Deus; nossos pais nos disseram que trabalho você fez em seus dias, nos dias de antigamente.
“To the chief musician, for the sons of Korach, a Maskil.” O God, with our ears have we heard, our fathers have told us, deeds which thou hadst done in their days, in times of old.
2 Você expulsou as nações com sua mão, mas você os plantou. Você afligiu os povos, mas você os espalha no exterior.
Thou, with thy hand, didst indeed drive out nations, and plant them; thou didst ill-treat people, and cause them to spread out.
3 Pois eles não obtiveram a terra em posse com sua própria espada, nem seu próprio braço os salvou; mas sua mão direita, seu braço e a luz de seu rosto, porque você era favorável a eles.
For not by their sword did they obtain possession of the land, and their own arm brought them no victory; but thy right hand, and thy arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst given them thy favor.
4 Deus, você é meu Rei. Vitórias de comando para Jacob!
Thou art my King, O God: ordain salvation for Jacob.
5 Through você, nós empurraremos nossos adversários para baixo. Através de seu nome, vamos pisar aqueles que se levantam contra nós.
Through thee will we butt down our assailants: through thy name will we tread under foot our opponents.
6 Pois não vou confiar no meu arco, nem a minha espada me salvará.
For not in my bow will I trust, and my sword shall not help me.
7 Mas você nos salvou de nossos adversários, e envergonharam aqueles que nos odeiam.
But thou helpest us against our assailants, and those that hate us thou puttest to shame.
8 Em Deus nós nos orgulhamos o dia inteiro. Daremos graças ao seu nome para sempre. (Selah)
Of God we boast all the day, and to thy name will we give thanks for ever. (Selah)
9 Mas agora você nos rejeitou, e nos levou à desonra, e não saia com nossos exércitos.
But [now] thou hast cast off, and put us to the blush, and goest not forth with our armies.
10 Você nos faz voltar atrás em relação ao adversário. Aqueles que nos odeiam nos pilham para si mesmos.
Thou causest us to turn back from before our assailant: and they who hate us take spoil for themselves.
11 Você nos fez como ovelhas para comer, e nos espalharam entre as nações.
Thou givest us up like sheep for food, and among the nations hast thou dispersed us.
12 Você vende seu povo por nada, e não ganharam nada com sua venda.
Thou sellest thy people for no value, and acquirest no gain by their price.
13 Você nos faz uma reprovação a nossos vizinhos, uma zombaria e um escárnio para aqueles que estão ao nosso redor.
Thou renderest us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to those that are round about us.
14 Você nos faz uma palavra de ordem entre as nações, um tremor de cabeça entre os povos.
Thou renderest us a by-word among the nations, a shaking of the head among the people.
15 All minha desonra está diante de mim, e a vergonha cobre meu rosto,
All the day is my disgrace before me, and the shame of my face covereth me;
16 ao escárnio de quem censura e abusa verbalmente, por causa do inimigo e do vingador.
Because of the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.
17 All isto chegou até nós, mas não nos esquecemos de você. Não temos sido falsos em relação ao seu pacto.
All this is come over us, yet have we not forgotten thee; nor have we dealt falsely by thy covenant;
18 Nosso coração não voltou atrás, nem nossos passos se desviaram de seu caminho,
Our heart is not moved backward, nor hath our step turned aside from thy path:
19 though você nos esmagou na perseguição dos chacais, e nos cobriu com a sombra da morte.
Even when thou didst crush us in the abode of monsters, and cover us with the shadow of death.
20 Se esquecemos o nome de nosso Deus, ou estendemos nossas mãos para um deus estranho,
If we had forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange God:
21 won, Deus não procura isto? Pois ele conhece os segredos do coração.
Would not God search out this? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
22 Sim, para seu bem, somos mortos o dia todo. Somos considerados como ovelhas para o abate.
But for thy sake are we slain all the day; we are counted as flocks [destined] for slaughter.
23 Wake para cima! Por que você dorme, Senhor? Levantem-se! Não nos rejeite para sempre.
Awake, wherefore wilt thou sleep, O Lord? arise, abandon us not for ever.
24 Por que você esconde seu rosto? e esquecer nossa aflição e nossa opressão?
Wherefore wilt thou hide thy face, wilt thou forget our misery, and our oppression?
25 Pois nossa alma está curvada ao pó. Nosso corpo se apega à terra.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our body cleaveth unto the earth.
26 Rise até para nos ajudar. Redima-nos por sua amorosa bondade.
Arise unto our help, and redeem us for the sake of thy kindness.
