Salmos 24

1 Um salmo de David. A terra é de Yahweh, com sua plenitude; o mundo, e aqueles que nele habitam.

Of David. A psalm. The earth is the Lord’s and all that it holds, the world and those who live in it.

2 Pois ele a fundou nos mares, e a estabeleceu nas enchentes.

For he founded it on the seas, and on the floods he sustains it.

3 Quem pode subir a colina de Yahweh? Quem pode estar em seu lugar sagrado?

Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?

4 Aquele que tem as mãos limpas e um coração puro; que não elevou sua alma à falsidade, e não jurou enganosamente.

The clean of hands, the pure of heart, who sets not their heart upon sinful things, nor swears with intent to deceive:

5 Ele receberá uma bênção de Yahweh, justiça do Deus de sua salvação.

they win from the Lord a blessing: God is their champion and saviour.

6 Esta é a geração daqueles que O buscam, que procuram seu rosto - mesmo o Jacob. (Selah)

Such must be those who resort to him, and seek the face of the God of Jacob. (Selah)

7 Levantem suas cabeças, seus portões! Levantem-se, suas portas eternas, e o Rei da Glória entrará.

Lift high your heads, you gates – Higher, you ancient doors; welcome the glorious king.

8 Quem é o Rei da Glória? Yahweh forte e poderoso, Yahweh poderoso em batalha.

‘Who is the glorious king?’ ‘The Lord strong and heroic, the Lord heroic in battle.’

9 Levantem a cabeça, seus portões; Sim, levantem-nas, suas portas eternas, e o Rei da Glória entrará.

Lift high your heads, you gates – Higher, you ancient doors; welcome the glorious king.

10 Quem é este rei da glória? Javé dos Exércitos é o Rei da Glória! (Selah)

‘Who is the glorious king?’ ‘The Lord, the God of hosts, he is the glorious king.’ (Selah)
