Salmos 18
1 Para o músico chefe. Por David, o servo de Javé, que falou a Javé as palavras desta canção no dia em que Javé o libertou da mão de todos os seus inimigos, e da mão de Saul. Ele disse, Eu te amo, Yahweh, minha força.
To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid the seruant of the Lord, which spake unto the Lord the wordes of this song (in the day that the Lord delivered him for the hande of all this enemies, and form the and of saul) and sayd, I will loue thee dearely, O Lord my strength.
2 Yahweh é minha rocha, minha fortaleza e meu entregador; meu Deus, minha rocha, em quem me refugio; meu escudo, e o chifre de minha salvação, minha torre alta.
The Lord is my rocke, and my fortresse, and he that deliuereth me, my God and my strength: in him will I trust, my shield, the horne also of my saluation, and my refuge.
3 Eu chamo Javé, que é digno de ser elogiado; e estou salvo de meus inimigos.
I will call vpon the Lord, which is worthie to be praysed: so shall I be safe from mine enemies.
4 Os cordões da morte me cercaram. As enchentes de impiedade me fizeram temer.
The sorowes of death compassed me, and the floods of wickednes made me afraide.
The sorowes of the graue haue compassed me about: the snares of death ouertooke me. (Sheol h7585)
6 Na minha angústia, invoquei Yahweh, e gritou a meu Deus. Ele ouviu minha voz fora de seu templo. Meu choro diante dele chegou aos seus ouvidos.
But in my trouble did I call vpon the Lord, and cryed vnto my God: he heard my voyce out of his Temple, and my crye did come before him, euen into his eares.
7 Então a terra tremeu e tremeu. As fundações das montanhas também tremeram e foram abaladas, porque ele estava com raiva.
Then the earth trembled, and quaked: the foundations also of the mountaines mooued and shooke, because he was angrie.
8 Smoke saíram de suas narinas. O fogo consumidor saiu de sua boca. Os carvões foram acendidos por ela.
Smoke went out at his nostrels, and a consuming fire out of his mouth: coales were kindled thereat.
9 Ele também curvou os céus, e desceu. A escuridão espessa estava debaixo de seus pés.
He bowed the heauens also and came downe, and darkenes was vnder his feete.
10 Ele montou em um querubim e voou. Sim, ele subiu nas asas do vento.
And he rode vpon Cherub and did flie, and he came flying vpon the wings of the winde.
11 Ele fez da escuridão seu esconderijo, seu pavilhão ao seu redor, escuridão das águas, nuvens espessas dos céus.
He made darkenes his secrete place, and his pauilion round about him, euen darkenesse of waters, and cloudes of the ayre.
12 Na claridade diante dele passaram suas nuvens grossas, granizo e brasas de fogo.
At the brightnes of his presence his clouds passed, haylestones and coles of fire.
13 Yahweh também trovejou no céu. O Altíssimo proferiu sua voz: granizo e brasas de fogo.
The Lord also thundred in the heauen, and the Highest gaue his voyce, haylestones and coales of fire.
14 Ele enviou suas flechas, e as espalhou. Ele os direcionou com grandes relâmpagos.
Then hee sent out his arrowes and scattred them, and he increased lightnings and destroyed them.
15 Depois apareceram os canais de águas. Os alicerces do mundo foram lançados a nu em sua reprimenda, Yahweh, ao sopro do sopro de suas narinas.
And the chanels of waters were seene, and the foundations of the worlde were discouered at thy rebuking, O Lord, at the blasting of the breath of thy nostrels.
16 Ele enviou de cima para baixo. Ele me levou. Ele me tirou de muitas águas.
He hath sent downe from aboue and taken mee: hee hath drawen mee out of many waters.
17 Ele me entregou do meu forte inimigo, daqueles que me odiavam, pois eram poderosos demais para mim.
He hath deliuered mee from my strong enemie, and from them which hate me: for they were too strong for me.
18 Eles vieram sobre mim no dia da minha calamidade, mas Yahweh foi meu apoio.
They preuented me in the day of my calamitie: but the Lord was my stay.
19 Ele me trouxe também para um lugar grande. Ele me entregou, porque se deleitou em mim.
Hee brought mee foorth also into a large place: hee deliuered mee because hee fauoured me.
20 Yahweh me recompensou de acordo com minha retidão. De acordo com a limpeza de minhas mãos, ele me recompensou.
The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnes: according to the purenes of mine hands he recompensed me:
21 Pois eu mantive os caminhos de Yahweh, e não se afastaram maliciosamente do meu Deus.
Because I kept the wayes of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God.
22 Para todas as suas portarias estavam diante de mim. Eu não afastei de mim os estatutos dele.
For all his Lawes were before mee, and I did not cast away his commandements from mee.
23 Eu também fui irrepreensível com ele. Eu me mantive longe de minha iniqüidade.
I was vpright also with him, and haue kept me from my wickednes.
24 Portanto Yahweh me recompensou de acordo com minha retidão, de acordo com a limpeza das minhas mãos na sua visão.
Therefore the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnesse, and according to the purenes of mine hands in his sight.
25 Com a misericórdia, você se mostrará misericordioso. Com o homem perfeito, você se mostrará perfeito.
With the godly thou wilt shewe thy selfe godly: with the vpright man thou wilt shew thy selfe vpright.
26 Com o puro, você se mostrará puro. Com o torto, você se mostrará astuto.
With the pure thou wilt shewe thy selfe pure, and with the froward thou wilt shewe thy selfe froward.
27 Pois você salvará as pessoas aflitas, mas os olhos arrogantes que você vai trazer para baixo.
Thus thou wilt saue the poore people, and wilt cast downe the proude lookes.
28 Pois você acenderá minha lâmpada, Yahweh. Meu Deus iluminará minha escuridão.
Surely thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God wil lighten my darkenes.
29 Pois por você, eu avanço através de uma tropa. Por meu Deus, eu pulo um muro.
For by thee I haue broken through an hoste, and by my God I haue leaped ouer a wall.
30 Quanto a Deus, seu caminho é perfeito. A palavra de Yahweh é tentada. Ele é um escudo para todos aqueles que se refugiam nele.
The way of God is vncorrupt: the worde of the Lord is tried in the fire: he is a shield to all that trust in him.
31 Para quem é Deus, exceto Yahweh? Que é uma rocha, além de nosso Deus,
For who is God besides the Lord? and who is mightie saue our God?
32 o Deus que me arma com força, e faz meu caminho perfeito?
God girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way vpright.
33 Ele faz meus pés como os pés de veado, e me coloca em meus lugares altos.
He maketh my feete like hindes feete, and setteth me vpon mine high places.
34 Ele ensina minhas mãos à guerra, para que meus braços dobrem um arco de bronze.
He teacheth mine hands to fight: so that a bowe of brasse is broken with mine armes.
35 Você também me deu o escudo de sua salvação. Sua mão direita me sustenta. Sua gentileza me fez grande.
Thou hast also giuen me the shield of thy saluation, and thy right hand hath stayed me, and thy louing kindenes hath caused me to increase.
36 Você ampliou meus passos sob mim, Meus pés não escorregaram.
Thou hast enlarged my steps vnder mee, and mine heeles haue not slid.
37 Vou perseguir meus inimigos e ultrapassá-los. Não vou me afastar até que sejam consumidos.
I haue pursued mine enemies, and taken them, and haue not turned againe till I had consumed them.
38 Vou atingi-los, para que não possam se levantar. Eles devem cair debaixo dos meus pés.
I haue wounded them, that they were not able to rise: they are fallen vnder my feete.
39 Pois vocês me armaram com força para a batalha. Vocês subjugaram debaixo de mim aqueles que se levantaram contra mim.
For thou hast girded me with strength to battell: them, that rose against me, thou hast subdued vnder me.
40 Você também fez meus inimigos virarem as costas para mim, que eu poderia cortar aqueles que me odeiam.
And thou hast giuen me the neckes of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
41 They chorou, mas não havia ninguém para salvar; mesmo para Yahweh, mas ele não respondeu.
They cryed but there was none to saue them, euen vnto the Lord, but hee answered them not.
42 Depois os bati pequeno como a poeira antes do vento. Eu os expulso como a lama das ruas.
Then I did beate them small as the dust before the winde: I did treade them flat as the clay in the streetes.
43 Vocês me entregaram das lutas do povo. Você me fez o chefe das nações. Um povo que eu não conheço me servirá.
Thou hast deliuered me from the contentions of the people: thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people, whom I haue not knowen, shall serue me.
44 Assim que souberem de mim, deverão me obedecer. Os estrangeiros devem se submeter a mim.
As soone as they heare, they shall obey me: the strangers shall be in subiection to me.
45 Os estrangeiros devem desvanecer-se, e devem sair tremendo de suas fortalezas.
Strangers shall shrinke away, and feare in their priuie chambers.
46 Yahweh vive! Bendito seja meu rochedo. Exaltado seja o Deus da minha salvação,
Let the Lord liue, and blessed be my strength, and the God of my saluation be exalted.
47 even o Deus que executa a vingança para mim, e submete as pessoas sob minhas ordens.
It is God that giueth me power to auenge me, and subdueth the people vnder me.
48 Ele me resgata de meus inimigos. Sim, vocês me elevam acima daqueles que se levantam contra mim. Você me livra do homem violento.
O my deliuerer from mine enemies, euen thou hast set mee vp from them, that rose against me: thou hast deliuered mee from the cruell man.
49 Therefore Eu lhe darei graças, Javé, entre as nações, e cantará louvores ao seu nome.
Therefore I will prayse thee, O Lord, among the nations, and wil sing vnto thy Name.
50 Ele dá grande libertação a seu rei, e mostra bondade amorosa para com seu ungido, a David e à sua prole, para sempre mais.
Great deliuerances giueth hee vnto his King, and sheweth mercie to his anoynted, euen to Dauid, and to his seede for euer.
