Salmos 116

1 Eu amo Yahweh, porque ele ouve minha voz, e meus gritos de misericórdia.

I love the LORD, for He has heard my voice— my appeal for mercy.

2 Porque ele virou seus ouvidos para mim, portanto, eu o convocarei enquanto eu viver.

Because He has inclined His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.

3 As cordas da morte me cercaram, as dores do Sheol se apoderaram de mim. Eu encontrei problemas e tristezas. (Sheol h7585)

The ropes of death entangled me; the anguish of Sheol overcame me; I was confronted by trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

4 Então eu invoquei o nome de Yahweh: “Yahweh, eu te imploro, entrega minha alma”.

Then I called on the name of the LORD: “O LORD, deliver my soul!”

5 Yahweh é gracioso e justo. Sim, nosso Deus é misericordioso.

The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

6 Yahweh preserva o simples. Fui trazido para baixo, e ele me salvou.

The LORD preserves the simplehearted; I was helpless, and He saved me.

7 Volte para o seu descanso, minha alma, pois Yahweh tem lidado generosamente com você.

Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

8 Pois você entregou minha alma da morte, meus olhos das lágrimas, e meus pés de cair.

For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

9 Eu caminharei diante de Yahweh na terra dos vivos.

I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

10 Eu acreditava, portanto disse, “Eu estava muito aflito”.

I believed, therefore I said, “I am greatly afflicted.”

11 Eu disse na minha pressa, “Todas as pessoas são mentirosas”.

In my alarm I said, “All men are liars!”

12 O que darei a Iavé por todos os benefícios que ele tem para comigo?

How can I repay the LORD for all His goodness to me?

13 Vou pegar a taça da salvação e invocarei o nome de Yahweh.

I will lift the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.

14 Pagarei meus votos a Javé, sim, na presença de todo o seu povo.

I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people.

15 Preciosa aos olhos de Yahweh é a morte de seus santos.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.

16 Yahweh, verdadeiramente eu sou seu servo. Eu sou seu criado, o filho de sua criada. Vocês me libertaram de minhas correntes.

Truly, O LORD, I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have broken my bonds.

17 Vou oferecer a vocês o sacrifício de ação de graças, e invocará o nome de Yahweh.

I will offer to You a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.

18 Pagarei meus votos a Javé, sim, na presença de todo o seu povo,

I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people,

19 nos tribunais da casa de Yahweh, no meio de você, Jerusalém. Louvado seja Yah!

in the courts of the LORD’s house, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
