Provérbios 8
1 A sabedoria não clama? A compreensão não eleva sua voz?
Doth not wisdom cry aloud, and prudence put forth her voice?
2 A propósito, no topo dos lugares altos, onde os caminhos se encontram, ela está de pé.
Standing in the top of the highest places by the way, in the midst of the paths.
3 Ao lado dos portões, na entrada da cidade, nas portas de entrada, ela chora em voz alta:
Beside the gates of the city, in the very doors she speaketh, saying:
4 “Eu chamo a vocês, homens! Envio minha voz para os filhos da humanidade.
O ye men, to you I call, and my voice is to the sons of men.
5 Você é simples, compreenda a prudência! Seus tolos, tenham um coração compreensivo!
O little ones, understand subtilty, and ye unwise, take notice.
6 Ouça, pois vou falar coisas excelentes. A abertura dos meus lábios é para as coisas certas.
Hear, for I will speak of great things: and my lips shall be opened to preach right things.
7 Pois minha boca fala a verdade. A maldade é uma abominação para meus lábios.
My mouth shall meditate truth, and my lips shall hate wickedness.
8 Todas as palavras da minha boca estão em retidão. Não há nada de tortuoso ou perverso neles.
All my words are just, there is nothing wicked nor perverse in them.
9 Para quem entende, todos eles são claros, direito àqueles que encontram conhecimento.
They are right to them that understand, and just to them that find knowledge.
10 Receber minhas instruções em vez de prata, conhecimento em vez de escolher o ouro.
Receive my instruction, and not money: choose knowledge rather than gold.
11 Pois a sabedoria é melhor que os rubis. Todas as coisas que podem ser desejadas não podem ser comparadas a ele.
For wisdom is better than all the most precious things: and whatsoever may be desired cannot be compared to it.
12 “Eu, sabedoria, fiz da prudência minha morada. Descubra o conhecimento e a discrição.
I wisdom dwell in counsel, and am present in learned thoughts.
13 O medo de Yahweh é odiar o mal. Odeio o orgulho, a arrogância, o mau caminho e a boca perversa.
The fear of the Lord hateth evil: I hate arrogance, and pride, and every wicked way, and a mouth with a double tongue.
14 Aconselhamento e bons conhecimentos são meus. Eu tenho compreensão e poder.
Counsel and equity is mine, prudence is mine, strength is mine.
15 By reinam os meus reis, e os príncipes decretam justiça.
By me kings reign, and lawgivers decree just things,
16 Por mim os príncipes governam, nobres, e todos os governantes justos da terra.
By me princes rule, and the mighty decree justice.
17 Eu amo aqueles que me amam. Aqueles que me procuram com diligência me encontrarão.
I love them that love me: and they that in the morning early watch for me, shall find me.
18 Comigo estão as riquezas, a honra, riqueza e prosperidade duradouras.
With me are riches and glory, glorious riches and justice.
19 Minha fruta é melhor do que ouro, sim, do que ouro fino, meu rendimento do que escolher prata.
For my fruit is better than gold and the precious stone, and my blossoms than choice silver.
20 I Caminhe no caminho da retidão, no meio dos caminhos da justiça,
I walk in the way of justice, in the midst of the paths of judgment,
21 that Eu posso dar riqueza àqueles que me amam. Eu encho seus tesouros.
That I may enrich them that love me, and may fill their treasures.
22 “Yahweh me possuiu no início de seu trabalho, antes de seus atos de outrora.
The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his ways, before he made any thing from the beginning.
23 Fui criado desde o início, desde o início, antes que a terra existisse.
I was set up from eternity, and of old before the earth was made.
24 When não havia profundidade, eu nasci, quando não havia nascentes repletas de água.
The depths were not as yet, and I was already conceived. neither had the fountains of waters as yet sprung out:
25 Antes de as montanhas se instalarem no local, antes das colinas, eu nasci;
The mountains with their huge bulk had not as yet been established: before the hills I was brought forth:
26 enquanto ele ainda não tinha feito a terra, nem os campos, nem o começo do pó do mundo.
He had not yet made the earth, nor the rivers, nor the poles of the world.
27 Quando ele estabeleceu os céus, eu estava lá. Quando ele coloca um círculo sobre a superfície das profundezas,
When he prepared the heavens, I was present: when with a certain law and compass he enclosed the depths:
28 when ele estabeleceu as nuvens acima, quando as molas das profundezas se tornaram fortes,
When he established the sky above, and poised the fountains of waters:
29 quando ele deu ao mar seus limites, que as águas não devem violar seu mandamento, quando ele marcou os alicerces da terra,
When he compassed the sea with its bounds, and set a law to the waters that they should not pass their limits: when be balanced the foundations of the earth;
30 então eu era o artesão ao seu lado. Eu era uma delícia no dia-a-dia, sempre regozijando-se diante dele,
I was with him forming all things: and was delighted every day, playing before him at all times;
31 regozijando-se em todo o seu mundo. Meu deleite foi com os filhos dos homens.
Playing in the world: and my delights were to be with the children of men.
32 “Agora, portanto, meus filhos, escutem-me, pois abençoados são aqueles que guardam meus caminhos.
Now therefore, ye children, hear me: Blessed are they that keep my ways.
33 Ouça as instruções, e seja sábio. Não o recuse.
Hear instruction and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 Abençoado é o homem que me ouve, observando diariamente aos meus portões, esperando em meus postos à porta.
Blessed is the man that heareth me, and that watcheth daily at my gates, and waiteth at the posts of my doors.
35 Para quem me encontrar, encontra vida, e obterá o favor de Yahweh.
He that shall find me, shall find life, and shall have salvation from the Lord:
36 Mas aquele que peca contra mim erra sua própria alma. Todos aqueles que me odeiam amam a morte”.
But he that shall sin against me, shall hurt his own soul. All that hate me love death.
