Provérbios 5
1 Meu filho, preste atenção à minha sabedoria. Fique atento ao meu entendimento,
My son, attend unto my wisdom, incline thine ear to my understanding;
2 that você pode manter discrição, que seus lábios possam preservar o conhecimento.
that thou mayest keep reflection, and that thy lips may preserve knowledge.
3 Para os lábios de uma adúltera pingar mel. Sua boca é mais macia que o óleo,
For the lips of the strange woman drop honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil;
4 but no final, ela é tão amarga quanto o absinto, e tão afiada como uma espada de dois gumes.
but her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
6 Ela não dá atenção ao modo de vida. Seus caminhos são tortos, e ela não sabe disso.
Lest she should ponder the path of life, her ways wander, she knoweth not [whither].
7 Agora, portanto, meus filhos, escutem-me. Não se afaste das palavras da minha boca.
And now, children, hearken unto me, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
8 Remova seu caminho para longe dela. Não chegue perto da porta de sua casa,
Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
9 para que você não dê sua honra a outros, e seus anos para o cruel;
lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel;
10 para que os estranhos não se banqueteiem com sua riqueza, e seu trabalho enriquece a casa de outro homem.
lest strangers be filled with thy wealth, and the fruits of thy toil [come] into the house of a stranger;
11 Você gemerá no seu último final, quando sua carne e seu corpo são consumidos,
and thou mourn in thine end, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed;
12 e dizer: “Como eu tenho odiado instruções, e meu coração desprezava a repreensão.
and thou say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof!
13 Eu não obedeci à voz de meus professores, nem virei meus ouvidos para aqueles que me instruíram!
and I have not hearkened unto the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to those that instructed me;
14 Cheguei à beira da ruína total, entre a assembléia reunida”.
I was well nigh in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
15 Beba água de sua própria cisterna, água corrente fora do seu próprio poço.
Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
16 Should suas molas transbordam nas ruas, riachos de água nas praças públicas?
Thy fountains shall be poured forth, as water-brooks in the broadways.
17 Deixe-os ser apenas para você, não para estranhos com você.
Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.
18 Deixe sua primavera ser abençoada. Alegre-se com a esposa de sua juventude.
Let thy fountain be blessed; and have joy of the wife of thy youth.
19 Uma corça amorosa e um cervo gracioso... deixe seus seios te satisfazerem o tempo todo. Ser cativado sempre com seu amor.
As a lovely hind and a graceful roe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times: be thou ravished continually with her love.
20 Por que você, meu filho, deveria ser cativado por uma adúltera? Por que abraçar o seio de outro?
And why shouldest thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
21 Pois os caminhos do homem estão diante dos olhos de Yahweh. Ele examina todos os seus caminhos.
For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah, and he pondereth all his paths.
22 As más ações dos malvados o ludibriaram. As cordas de seu pecado o seguram com firmeza.
His own iniquities shall take the wicked, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.
23 Ele morrerá por falta de instrução. Na grandeza de sua insensatez, ele se desviará.
He shall die for want of discipline; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
