Provérbios 30
1 As palavras de Agur, o filho de Jakeh, a revelação: o homem diz a Ithiel, a Ithiel e Ucal:
THE WORDS OF AGUR THE SONNE OF JAKEH. The prophecie which ye man spake vnto Ithiel, euen to Ithiel, and Vcal.
2 “Certamente eu sou o homem mais ignorante, e não têm a compreensão de um homem.
Surely I am more foolish then any man, and haue not the vnderstanding of a man in me.
3 Eu não aprendi a sabedoria, nem eu tenho o conhecimento do Santo.
For I haue not learned wisedome, nor atteined to the knowledge of holy things.
4 Quem subiu ao céu e desceu? Quem colheu o vento em seus punhos? Quem amarrou as águas em seu traje? Quem estabeleceu todos os confins do mundo? Qual é seu nome, e qual é o nome de seu filho, se você sabe?
Who hath ascended vp to heauen, and descended? Who hath gathered the winde in his fist? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the endes of the world? What is his name, and what is his sonnes name, if thou canst tell?
5 “Cada palavra de Deus é impecável. Ele é um escudo para aqueles que se refugiam nele.
Euery worde of God is pure: he is a shield to those, that trust in him.
6 Não acrescente nada às suas palavras, para que ele não o reprove, e você seja encontrado um mentiroso.
Put nothing vnto his wordes, least he reproue thee, and thou be found a lyar.
7 “Duas coisas que eu lhe pedi. Não me negue antes de eu morrer.
Two things haue I required of thee: denie me them not before I die.
8 Afastar de mim falsidade e mentiras. Não me dê nem pobreza nem riqueza. Alimente-me com a comida que é necessária para mim,
Remooue farre from me vanitie and lyes: giue me not pouertie, nor riches: feede me with foode conuenient for me,
9 para não ficar cheio, negar-lhe e dizer: “Quem é Yahweh? ou para que eu não seja pobre, e roubar, e assim desonrar o nome do meu Deus.
Least I be full, and denie thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or least I be poore and steale, and take the Name of my God in vaine.
10 “Não calunie um servo a seu amo, para que ele não o amaldiçoe, e você seja considerado culpado.
Accuse not a seruant vnto his master, lest he curse thee, when thou hast offended.
11 There é uma geração que amaldiçoa seu pai, e não abençoa sua mãe.
There is a generation that curseth their father, and doeth not blesse their mother.
12 There é uma geração que é pura aos seus próprios olhos, mas não são lavados de sua imundície.
There is a generation that are pure in their owne conceite, and yet are not washed from their filthinesse.
13 There é uma geração, oh como os olhos deles são elevados! Suas pálpebras são levantadas.
There is a generation, whose eies are hautie, and their eye liddes are lifted vp.
14 There é uma geração cujos dentes são como espadas, e suas mandíbulas como facas, para devorar os pobres da terra, e os necessitados entre os homens.
There is a generation, whose teeth are as swordes, and their chawes as kniues to eate vp the afflicted out of the earth, and the poore from among men.
15 “A sanguessuga tem duas filhas: “Dar, dar”. “Há três coisas que nunca são satisfeitas; quatro que não dizem: “Basta!
The horse leache hath two daughters which crye, Giue, giue. There be three things that will not be satisfied: yea, foure that say not, It is ynough.
16 Sheol, o ventre árido, a terra que não está satisfeita com a água, e o fogo que não diz: “Basta! (Sheol h7585)
The graue, and the barren wombe, the earth that cannot be satisfied with water, and the fire that sayeth not, It is ynough. (Sheol h7585)
17 “O olho que zomba de seu pai, e despreza a obediência a sua mãe, os corvos do vale devem escolhê-lo, as águias jovens devem comê-lo.
The eye that mocketh his father and despiseth the instruction of his mother, let ye rauens of the valley picke it out, and the yong eagles eate it.
18 “Há três coisas que são surpreendentes demais para mim, quatro que eu não entendo:
There be three thinges hid from me: yea, foure that I knowe not,
19 O caminho de uma águia no ar, o caminho de uma serpente sobre uma rocha, o caminho de um navio no meio do mar, e o caminho de um homem com uma donzela.
The way of an eagle in the aire, the way of a serpent vpon a stone, ye way of a ship in ye middes of the sea, and the way of a man with a maide.
20 “Assim é o caminho de uma mulher adúltera: Ela come e limpa a boca, e diz: “Eu não fiz nada de errado”.
Such is ye way also of an adulterous woman: she eateth and wipeth her mouth, and sayth, I haue not committed iniquitie.
21 “Para três coisas, a terra treme, e abaixo de quatro anos, não pode suportar:
For three things the earth is moued: yea, for foure it cannot susteine it selfe:
22 Para um servo quando ele é rei, um tolo quando ele está cheio de comida,
For a seruant when he reigneth, and a foole when he is filled with meate,
23 para uma mulher não amada quando ela é casada, e uma criada que é herdeira de sua amante.
For the hatefull woman, when she is married, and for a handmaid that is heire to her mistres.
24 “Há quatro coisas que são pequenas na terra, mas eles são extremamente sábios:
These be foure small things in the earth, yet they are wise and full of wisedome:
25 As formigas não são um povo forte, no entanto, eles fornecem seus alimentos no verão.
The pismires a people not strong, yet prepare they their meate in sommer:
26 Os hyraxes são apenas um povo fraco, mas fazem delas suas casas nas rochas.
The conies a people not mightie, yet make their houses in the rocke:
27 Os gafanhotos não têm rei, no entanto, eles avançam nas fileiras.
The grashopper hath no King, yet goe they forth all by bandes:
28 Você pode pegar um lagarto com suas mãos, no entanto, ela está nos palácios dos reis.
The spider taketh holde with her handes, and is in Kings palaces.
29 “Há três coisas que são imponentes em sua marcha, quatro que estão em andamento:
There be three thinges that order well their going: yea, foure are comely in going,
30 O leão, que é o mais poderoso entre os animais, e não se afasta por nenhum;
A lyon which is strong among beastes, and turneth not at the sight of any:
31 o galgo; o bode macho; e o rei contra o qual não há como se levantar.
A lusty grayhound, and a goate, and a King against whom there is no rising vp.
32 “Se você fez loucuras ao levantar-se, ou se você pensou no mal, coloque sua mão sobre sua boca.
If thou hast bene foolish in lifting thy selfe vp, and if thou hast thought wickedly, lay thine hand vpon thy mouth.
33 Pois como a batedura do leite produz manteiga, e a torção do nariz produz sangue, para que a forçagem da ira produza contendas”.
When one churneth milke, he bringeth foorth butter: and he that wringeth his nose, causeth blood to come out: so he that forceth wrath, bringeth foorth strife.
