Provérbios 3
1 Meu filho, não se esqueça do meu ensinamento, mas deixe seu coração guardar meus mandamentos,
My sonne, forget not thou my Lawe, but let thine heart keepe my commandements.
2 pois eles lhe acrescentarão a duração dos dias, anos de vida, e paz.
For they shall increase the length of thy dayes and the yeeres of life, and thy prosperitie.
3 Não deixe que a gentileza e a verdade o abandonem. Prenda-os ao redor de seu pescoço. Escreva-as na tábua do seu coração.
Let not mercie and trueth forsake thee: binde them on thy necke, and write them vpon the table of thine heart.
4 Então você encontrará um favor, e boa compreensão aos olhos de Deus e do homem.
So shalt thou finde fauour and good vnderstanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Confie em Yahweh com todo o seu coração, e não se apoie em seu próprio entendimento.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and leane not vnto thine owne wisdome.
6 Em todos os seus sentidos, reconheça-o, e ele vai tornar seus caminhos retos.
In all thy wayes acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy wayes.
7 Não seja sábio a seus próprios olhos. Teme a Yahweh, e parte do mal.
Be not wise in thine owne eyes: but feare the Lord, and depart from euill.
8 Será saúde para o seu corpo, e alimento para seus ossos.
So health shalbe vnto thy nauel, and marowe vnto thy bones.
9 Honre Yahweh com sua substância, com os primeiros frutos de todo o seu aumento;
Honour the Lord with thy riches, and with the first fruites of all thine increase.
10 so seus celeiros estarão repletos, e suas cubas vão transbordar com vinho novo.
So shall thy barnes be filled with abundance, and thy presses shall burst with newe wine.
11 Meu filho, não despreze a disciplina de Yahweh, nem se cansar de sua correção;
My sonne, refuse not the chastening of the Lord, neither be grieued with his correction.
12 para quem Yahweh ama, ele corrige, mesmo como um pai reprova o filho em quem ele se compraz.
For the Lord correcteth him, whome he loueth, euen as the father doeth the childe in whom he deliteth.
13 Feliz é o homem que encontra sabedoria, o homem que se torna compreensivo.
Blessed is the man that findeth wisedome, and the man that getteth vnderstanding.
14 Para ela o bom lucro é melhor do que obter prata, e seu retorno é melhor do que o ouro fino.
For the marchandise thereof is better then the marchandise of siluer, and the gaine thereof is better then golde.
15 Ela é mais preciosa do que os rubis. Nenhuma das coisas que você pode desejar deve ser comparada a ela.
It is more precious then pearles: and all things that thou canst desire, are not to be compared vnto her.
16 A duração dos dias está em sua mão direita. Em sua mão esquerda estão a riqueza e a honra.
Length of dayes is in her right hand, and in her left hand riches and glory.
17 Seus caminhos são caminhos de agradabilidade. Todos os seus caminhos são de paz.
Her wayes are wayes of pleasure, and all her pathes prosperitie.
18 Ela é uma árvore da vida para aqueles que a seguram. Felizes são todos os que a retêm.
She is a tree of life to them that lay holde on her, and blessed is he that retaineth her.
19 Por sabedoria Yahweh fundou a terra. Ao compreender, ele estabeleceu os céus.
The Lord by wisdome hath layde the foundation of the earth, and hath stablished the heauens through vnderstanding.
20 Por seu conhecimento, as profundezas foram rompidas, e o orvalho cai do céu.
By his knowledge the depthes are broken vp, and the cloudes droppe downe the dewe.
21 Meu filho, não os deixe sair de seus olhos. Manter a sabedoria e a discrição,
My sonne, let not these things depart from thine eyes, but obserue wisdome, and counsell.
22 para que eles sejam vida para sua alma, e graça para seu pescoço.
So they shalbe life to thy soule, and grace vnto thy necke.
23 Então você deve caminhar no seu caminho com segurança. Seu pé não tropeçará.
Then shalt thou walke safely by thy way: and thy foote shall not stumble.
24 Quando você se deita, não terá medo. Sim, você vai se deitar, e seu sono será doce.
If thou sleepest, thou shalt not bee afraide, and when thou sleepest, thy sleepe shalbe sweete.
25 Não tenha medo de medo súbito, nem da desolação dos ímpios, quando se trata disso;
Thou shalt not feare for any sudden feare, neither for the destruction of the wicked, when it commeth.
26 para Yahweh será sua confiança, e evitará que seu pé seja levado.
For the Lord shall be for thine assurance, and shall preserue thy foote from taking.
27 Não esconda o bem daqueles a quem ele é devido, quando está no poder de sua mão para fazer isso.
Withhold not the good from the owners thereof, though there be power in thine hand to doe it.
28 Não diga ao seu vizinho: “Vá, e venha novamente”; Amanhã eu vou dar a você”. quando você o tem por você.
Say not vnto thy neighbour, Go and come againe, and to morow wil I giue thee, if thou now haue it.
29 Não invente o mal contra seu vizinho, uma vez que ele mora com segurança por você.
Intend none hurt against thy neighbour, seeing he doeth dwell without feare by thee.
30 Não se esforce com um homem sem causa, se ele não lhe tiver feito mal algum.
Striue not with a man causelesse, when he hath done thee no harme.
31 Não inveje o homem da violência. Escolha nenhuma de suas maneiras.
Bee not enuious for the wicked man, neither chuse any of his wayes.
32 Pois o perverso é uma abominação para Yahweh, mas sua amizade é com os verticais.
For the frowarde is abomination vnto the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.
33 A maldição de Yahweh está na casa dos ímpios, mas ele abençoa a habitação dos justos.
The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the righteous.
34 Com certeza, ele zomba dos zombadores, mas ele dá graça aos humildes.
With the scornefull he scorneth, but hee giueth grace vnto the humble.
35 Os sábios herdarão a glória, mas a vergonha será a promoção de tolos.
The wise shall inherite glorie: but fooles dishonour, though they be exalted.
