Provérbios 2
1 Meu filho, se você receber minhas palavras, e guardar meus mandamentos dentro de você,
Mi sone, if thou resseyuest my wordis, `and hidist myn heestis anentis thee;
2 so para voltar seus ouvidos à sabedoria, e aplique seu coração à compreensão;
that thin eere here wisdom, bowe thin herte to knowe prudence.
3 sim, se você clamar por discernimento, e levante sua voz para a compreensão;
For if thou inwardli clepist wisdom, and bowist thin herte to prudence;
4 se você a procura como prata, e procurá-la como se fosse um tesouro escondido;
if thou sekist it as money, and diggist it out as tresours;
5 então você entenderá o medo de Yahweh, e encontrar o conhecimento de Deus.
thanne thou schalt vndirstonde the drede of the Lord, and schalt fynde the kunnyng of God.
6 Para Yahweh dá sabedoria. De sua boca sai o conhecimento e a compreensão.
For the Lord yyueth wisdom; and prudence and kunnyng is of his mouth.
7 Ele estabelece uma sólida sabedoria para os verticais. Ele é um escudo para aqueles que caminham em integridade,
He schal kepe the heelthe of riytful men, and he schal defende hem that goen sympli.
8 para que ele possa guardar os caminhos da justiça, e preservar o caminho de seus santos.
And he schal kepe the pathis of riytfulnesse, and he schal kepe the weies of hooli men.
9 Então você entenderá a retidão e a justiça, equidade e todos os bons caminhos.
Thanne thou schalt vndirstonde riytfulnesse, and dom, and equytee, and ech good path.
10 Pois a sabedoria entrará em seu coração. O conhecimento será agradável para sua alma.
If wysdom entrith in to thin herte, and kunnyng plesith thi soule,
11 A discrição irá cuidar de você. A compreensão o manterá,
good councel schal kepe thee, and prudence schal kepe thee; that thou be delyuered fro an yuel weie,
12 para livrá-lo do caminho do mal, dos homens que falam coisas perversas,
and fro a man that spekith weiward thingis.
13 who abandona os caminhos da retidão, para caminhar nos caminhos da escuridão,
Whiche forsaken a riytful weie, and goen bi derk weies;
14 que se regozijam de fazer o mal, e deleitar-se com a perversidade do mal,
whiche ben glad, whanne thei han do yuel, and maken ful out ioye in worste thingis;
15 que são tortuosos em seus caminhos, e traiçoeiras em seus caminhos,
whose weies ben weywerd, and her goyingis ben of yuel fame.
16 para entregá-lo da mulher estranha, mesmo da estrangeira que lisonjeia com suas palavras,
That thou be delyuered fro an alien womman, and fro a straunge womman, that makith soft hir wordis;
17 que abandona a amiga de sua juventude, e esquece o pacto de seu Deus;
and forsakith the duyk of hir tyme of mariage,
18 para sua casa leva à morte, seus caminhos para os espíritos falecidos.
and hath foryete the couenaunt of hir God. For the hous of hir is bowid to deeth, and hir pathis to helle.
19 Nenhum outro que vá ao seu retorno, nem alcançam os caminhos da vida.
Alle that entren to hir, schulen not turne ayen, nether schulen catche the pathis of lijf.
20 Por isso, caminhar no caminho dos homens bons, e manter os caminhos dos justos.
That thou go in a good weie, and kepe the pathis of iust men.
21 Pois os retos habitarão na terra. O perfeito permanecerá nele.
Forsothe thei that ben riytful, schulen dwelle in the lond; and symple men schulen perfitli dwelle ther ynne.
22 Mas os ímpios serão isolados da terra. Os traiçoeiros serão erradicados dela.
But vnfeithful men schulen be lost fro the loond; and thei that doen wickidli, schulen be takun awey fro it.
