Provérbios 11
1 Um falso equilíbrio é uma abominação para Yahweh, mas pesos precisos são o seu deleite.
False balances are an abomination vnto the Lord: but a perfite weight pleaseth him.
2 Quando o orgulho vem, então vem a vergonha, mas com humildade vem a sabedoria.
When pride commeth, then commeth shame: but with the lowly is wisdome.
3 A integridade dos retos deve guiá-los, mas a perversidade dos traiçoeiros deve destruí-los.
The vprightnes of the iust shall guide them: but the frowardnes of the transgressers shall destroy them.
4 A riqueza não lucra no dia da ira, mas a retidão se livra da morte.
Riches auaile not in the day of wrath: but righteousnes deliuereth from death.
5 A justiça do irrepreensível orientará seu caminho, mas os ímpios devem cair por sua própria maldade.
The righteousnes of the vpright shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall in his owne wickednes.
6 A retidão dos retos os entregará, mas os infiéis serão aprisionados por desejos malignos.
The righteousnesse of the iust shall deliuer them: but the transgressers shall be taken in their owne wickednes.
7 When um homem perverso morre, a esperança perece, e a expectativa de poder não dá em nada.
When a wicked man dieth, his hope perisheth, and the hope of the vniust shall perish.
8 Uma pessoa justa é entregue fora de problemas, e o ímpio toma seu lugar.
The righteous escapeth out of trouble, and the wicked shall come in his steade.
9 Com sua boca o homem sem Deus destrói seu próximo, mas os justos serão entregues através do conhecimento.
An hypocrite with his mouth hurteth his neighbour: but the righteous shall be deliuered by knowledge.
10 When vai bem com os justos, a cidade se regozija. Quando os ímpios perecem, há gritos.
In the prosperitie of the righteous the citie reioyceth, and when the wicked perish, there is ioye.
11 Com a bênção dos justos, a cidade é exaltada, mas é derrubado pela boca dos ímpios.
By the blessing of the righteous, the citie is exalted: but it is subuerted by the mouth of the wicked.
12 Aquele que despreza o próximo é desprovido de sabedoria, mas um homem de entendimento mantém sua paz.
He that despiseth his neighbour, is destitute of wisedome: but a man of vnderstanding will keepe silence.
13 Aquele que traz a fofoca trai a confiança, mas quem tem um espírito de confiança é aquele que guarda um segredo.
Hee that goeth about as a slanderer, discouereth a secret: but hee that is of a faithfull heart concealeth a matter.
14 Where não há uma orientação sábia, a nação cai, mas na multidão de conselheiros há vitória.
Where no counsell is, the people fall: but where many counsellers are, there is health.
15 Aquele que é garantia para um estranho sofrerá por isso, mas aquele que recusa a prestação de garantias é seguro.
Hee shall be sore vexed, that is suretie for a stranger, and he that hateth suretiship, is sure.
16 Uma mulher graciosa obtém honra, mas homens violentos obtêm riquezas.
A gracious woman atteineth honour, and the strong men atteine riches.
17 O homem misericordioso faz o bem à sua própria alma, mas aquele que é cruel perturba sua própria carne.
Hee that is mercifull, rewardeth his owne soule: but he that troubleth his own flesh, is cruel.
18 As pessoas más ganham salários enganosos, mas aquele que semeia retidão colhe uma recompensa certa.
The wicked worketh a deceitful worke: but hee that soweth righteousnes, shall receiue a sure rewarde.
19 Aquele que é verdadeiramente justo ganha a vida. Aquele que persegue o mal, recebe a morte.
As righteousnes leadeth to life: so hee that followeth euill, seeketh his owne death.
20 Those que são perversos de coração são uma abominação para Yahweh, mas aqueles cujos caminhos são irrepreensíveis são seu encanto.
They that are of a froward heart, are abomination to the Lord: but they that are vpright in their way, are his delite.
21 Most certamente, o homem mau não ficará impune, mas a progênie dos justos será entregue.
Though hande ioyne in hande, the wicked shall not be vnpunished: but the seede of the righteous shall escape.
22 Como um anel de ouro no focinho de um porco, é uma bela mulher que carece de discrição.
As a iewell of golde in a swines snoute: so is a faire woman, which lacketh discretion.
23 O desejo dos justos é apenas bom. A expectativa dos ímpios é a ira.
The desire of the righteous is onely good: but the hope of the wicked is indignation.
24 Há um que se espalha e aumenta ainda mais. Há um que retém mais do que é apropriado, mas ganha a pobreza.
There is that scattereth, and is more increased: but hee that spareth more then is right, surely commeth to pouertie.
25 A alma liberal deve ser engordada. Aquele que rega também deve ser regado por ele mesmo.
The liberall person shall haue plentie: and he that watereth, shall also haue raine.
26 As pessoas amaldiçoam alguém que retém grãos, mas a bênção estará sobre a cabeça daquele que a vende.
He that withdraweth the corne, the people will curse him: but blessing shalbe vpon the head of him that selleth corne.
27 Aquele que diligentemente busca o bem, busca o favor, mas aquele que procura o mal, ele virá até ele.
He that seeketh good things, getteth fauour: but he that seeketh euill, it shall come to him.
28 Aquele que confia em suas riquezas cairá, mas os justos devem florescer como a folha verde.
He that trusteth in his riches, shall fall: but the righteous shall florish as a leafe.
29 Aquele que perturbar sua própria casa herdará o vento. O tolo deve ser servo do sábio de coração.
He that troubleth his owne house, shall inherite the winde, and the foole shalbe seruant to the wise in heart.
30 O fruto dos justos é uma árvore da vida. Aquele que é sábio ganha almas.
The fruite of the righteous is as a tree of life, and he that winneth soules, is wise.
31 Eis que os justos devem ser pagos na terra, quanto mais o ímpio e o pecador!
Beholde, the righteous shalbe recompensed in the earth: howe much more the wicked and the sinner?
