Provérbios 10
1 Os provérbios de Salomão. Um filho sábio faz um pai feliz; mas um filho tolo traz tristeza para sua mãe.
The parablis of Salomon. A wijs sone makith glad the fadir; but a fonned sone is the sorewe of his modir.
2 Os tesouros da maldade não lucram nada, mas a retidão se livra da morte.
Tresouris of wickidnesse schulen not profite; but riytfulnesse schal delyuere fro deth.
3 Yahweh não vai permitir que a alma dos justos passe fome, mas ele afasta o desejo dos ímpios.
The Lord schal not turmente the soule of a iust man with hungur; and he schal distrie the tresouns of vnpitouse men.
4 Ele se torna pobre que trabalha com a mão preguiçosa, mas a mão do diligente traz riqueza.
A slow hond hath wrouyt nedynesse; but the hond of stronge men makith redi richessis. Forsothe he that enforsith to gete `ony thing bi leesyngis, fedith the wyndis; sotheli the same man sueth briddis fleynge.
5 Aquele que se reúne no verão é um filho sábio, mas aquele que dorme durante a colheita é um filho que causa vergonha.
He that gaderith togidere in heruest, is a wijs sone; but he that slepith in sommer, is a sone of confusioun.
6 As bênçãos estão na cabeça dos justos, mas a violência cobre a boca dos malvados.
The blessing of God is ouer the heed of a iust man; but wickidnesse hilith the mouth of wickid men.
7 A memória dos justos é abençoada, mas o nome dos ímpios apodrecerá.
The mynde of a iust man schal be with preisingis; and the name of wickid men schal wexe rotun.
8 Os sábios de coração aceitam os mandamentos, mas um tolo falador vai cair.
A wijs man schal resseyue comaundementis with herte; a fool is betun with lippis.
9 Aquele que caminha sem culpa, certamente caminha, mas aquele que perverte seus caminhos será descoberto.
He that goith simpli, goith tristili; but he that makith schrewid hise weies, schal be opyn.
10 One que pisca com o olho causa tristeza, mas um tolo falador vai cair.
He that bekeneth with the iye, schal yyue sorewe; a fool schal be betun with lippis.
11 A boca dos justos é uma fonte de vida, mas a violência cobre a boca dos malvados.
The veyne of lijf is the mouth of a iust man; but the mouth of wickid men hilith wickidnesse.
12 O ódio agita a luta, mas o amor cobre todos os males.
Hatrede reisith chidingis; and charite hilith alle synnes.
13 A sabedoria é encontrada nos lábios daquele que tem discernimento, mas uma vara é para a parte de trás daquele que não tem entendimento.
Wisdom is foundun in the lippis of a wise man; and a yerd in the bak of him that is nedi of herte.
14 Os sábios colocam o conhecimento, mas a boca do tolo está perto da ruína.
Wise men hiden kunnyng; but the mouth of a fool is nexte to confusioun.
15 A riqueza do homem rico é sua cidade forte. A destruição dos pobres é sua pobreza.
The catel of a riche man is the citee of his strengthe; the drede of pore men is the nedynesse of hem.
16 O trabalho dos justos leva à vida. O aumento dos ímpios leva ao pecado.
The werk of a iust man is to lijf; but the fruyt of a wickid man is to synne.
17 He está no caminho da vida quem presta atenção à correção, mas aquele que abandona a repreensão, desvia os outros.
The weie of lijf is to him that kepith chastising; but he that forsakith blamyngis, errith.
18 Aquele que esconde o ódio tem lábios mentirosos. Aquele que profere uma calúnia é um tolo.
False lippis hiden hatrede; he that bringith forth dispisinge is vnwijs.
19 Na multidão de palavras não falta desobediência, mas aquele que refreia seus lábios faz sabiamente.
Synne schal not faile in myche spekyng; but he that mesurith hise lippis, is moost prudent.
20 A língua dos justos é como a prata escolhida. O coração dos ímpios tem pouco valor.
Chosun siluer is the tunge of a iust man; the herte of wickid men is for nouyt.
21 Os lábios dos justos alimentam muitos, mas os tolos morrem por falta de compreensão.
The lippis of a iust man techen ful manye men; but thei that ben vnlerned, schulen die in nedinesse of herte.
22 A bênção de Yahweh traz riqueza, e ele não lhe acrescenta nenhum problema.
The blessing of the Lord makith riche men; and turment schal not be felowschipid to hem.
23 É um prazer tolo fazer a maldade, mas a sabedoria é o prazer de um homem de entendimento.
A fool worchith wickidnesse as bi leiyyng; but `wisdom is prudence to a man.
24 O que o medo maligno os ultrapassará, mas o desejo dos justos será concedido.
That that a wickid man dredith, schal come on hym; the desire of iust men schalbe youun to hem.
25 Quando o redemoinho passa, o mal já não é mais; mas os justos permanecem firmes para sempre.
As a tempeste passynge, a wickid man schal not be; but a iust man schal be as an euerlastynge foundement.
26 Como vinagre até os dentes e como fumaça até os olhos, Assim é o preguiçoso para aqueles que o enviam.
As vynegre noieth the teeth, and smoke noieth the iyen; so a slow man noieth hem that senten hym in the weie.
27 O medo de Yahweh prolonga os dias, mas os anos dos ímpios devem ser encurtados.
The drede of the Lord encreesith daies; and the yeeris of wickid men schulen be maad schort.
28 A perspectiva dos justos é a alegria, mas a esperança dos ímpios perecerá.
Abiding of iust men is gladnesse; but the hope of wickid men schal perische.
29 O caminho de Yahweh é um refúgio para os verticais, mas é uma destruição para os trabalhadores da iniqüidade.
The strengthe of a symple man is the weie of the Lord; and drede to hem that worchen yuel.
30 Os justos nunca serão removidos, mas os ímpios não vão habitar na terra.
A iust man schal not be moued with outen ende; but wickid men schulen not dwelle on the erthe.
31 A boca dos justos produz sabedoria, mas a língua perversa será cortada.
The mouth of a iust man schal bringe forth wisdom; the tunge of schrewis schal perische.
32 Os lábios dos justos sabem o que é aceitável, mas a boca dos malvados é perversa.
The lippis of a iust man biholden pleasaunt thingis; and the mouth of wickid men byholdith weiward thingis.
