Filemón 1
1 Paulo, prisioneiro de Cristo Jesus, e Timóteo nosso irmão, para Filemon, nosso amado companheiro de trabalho,
Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved friend and fellow worker,
2 para a amada Áfia, para Arquipo nosso companheiro de soldado, e para a assembléia em sua casa:
and also to the beloved Apphia, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church that meets in yoʋr house:
3 Graça a vós e paz de Deus nosso Pai e do Senhor Jesus Cristo.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Agradeço sempre ao meu Deus, fazendo menção a você em minhas orações,
I give thanks to my God, always making mention of yoʋ in my prayers,
5 ouvir de seu amor e da fé que você tem para com o Senhor Jesus e para com todos os santos,
because I hear of yoʋr love for all the saints and the faith that yoʋ have toward the Lord Jesus.
6 para que a comunhão de sua fé se torne efetiva no conhecimento de cada coisa boa que há em nós em Cristo Jesus.
I pray that yoʋr fellowship with us in the faith may be effective in deepening yoʋr understanding of every blessing that we have in Christ Jesus.
7 Pois temos muita alegria e conforto em teu amor, porque os corações dos santos foram refrescados através de ti, irmão.
We are very thankful for the comfort we have received from yoʋr love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through yoʋ, brother.
8 Portanto, embora eu tenha toda a ousadia em Cristo para ordenar-vos o que é apropriado,
Therefore, although I am bold enough in Christ to command yoʋ to do what is right,
9 ainda assim, por amor, eu prefiro apelar para vós, sendo um tal de Paulo, o idoso, mas também um prisioneiro de Jesus Cristo.
I would rather appeal to yoʋ on the basis of love. I, Paul, an old man and now a prisoner for Jesus Christ,
10 eu vos peço por meu filho Onésimo, de quem me tornei o pai em minhas correntes,
appeal to yoʋ on behalf of my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become during my imprisonment.
11 que outrora foi inútil para vós, mas agora é útil para vós e para mim.
Once he was useless to yoʋ, but now he is useful both to yoʋ and to me. I am sending him back,
12 Estou enviando-o de volta. Portanto, recebei-o, isto é, meu próprio coração,
and I ask yoʋ to receive him, that is, my very own heart.

I wanted to keep him with me so that he could serve me in yoʋr place during my imprisonment for the gospel.
14 Mas eu não estava disposto a fazer nada sem seu consentimento, que sua bondade não seria por necessidade, mas por livre arbítrio.
But I did not want to do anything without yoʋr consent, so that yoʋr good deed would not be done out of compulsion, but of yoʋr own free will.
15 Pois talvez ele tenha sido separado de você por um tempo para que você o tivesse para sempre, (aiōnios g166)
Perhaps the reason he was separated from yoʋ for an hour was so that yoʋ might have him back forever, (aiōnios g166)
16 não mais como escravo, mas mais do que escravo, um irmão amado - especialmente para mim, mas quanto mais para você, tanto na carne quanto no Senhor.
no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, as a beloved brother, especially to me, but even more so to yoʋ, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
17 Se então você me considerar um parceiro, receba-o como você me receberia.
So if yoʋ consider me to be a partner, receive him as yoʋ would receive me.
18 Mas se ele o enganou ou lhe deve alguma coisa, coloque isso na minha conta.
If he has wronged yoʋ in any way or owes yoʋ anything, charge it to me.
19 Eu, Paul, escrevo isto com minha própria mão: Eu o reembolsarei (para não mencionar que você me deve até mesmo a si mesmo).
I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention that yoʋ owe me yoʋr very own life).
20 Sim, irmão, deixe-me ter alegria de você no Senhor. Refresque meu coração no Senhor.

21 Tendo confiança em sua obediência, escrevo-lhe, sabendo que você fará até mesmo além do que eu disser.
Trusting in yoʋr obedience, I write to yoʋ, knowing that yoʋ will do even more than I ask.
22 Também, prepare um quarto de hóspedes para mim, pois espero que através de suas orações eu seja restaurado a você.
At the same time, I want yoʋ to prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you soon.
