Miquéias 6
1 Ouça agora o que Yahweh diz: “Levante-se, pleiteie seu caso diante das montanhas”, e deixe as colinas ouvirem o que você tem a dizer.
Hearken ye nowe what the Lord sayth, Arise thou, and contende before the mountaines, and let the hilles heare thy voyce.
2 Ouça, suas montanhas, a acusação de Yahweh, e as fundações duradouras da terra; pois Yahweh tem um caso contra seu povo, e ele irá contender com Israel.
Heare ye, O mountaynes, the Lordes quarel, and ye mightie foundations of the earth: for the Lord hath a quarell against his people, and he will pleade with Israel.
3 Meu povo, o que eu fiz com você? Como eu tenho sobrecarregado você? Responda-me!
O my people, what haue I done vnto thee? or wherin haue I grieued thee? testifie against me.
4 Pois eu o trouxe para fora da terra do Egito, e o resgatou da casa da servidão. Enviei diante de vocês Moisés, Aaron e Miriam.
Surely I brought thee vp out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of seruants, and I haue sent before thee, Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
5 Meu povo, lembrem-se agora do que Balak, rei dos Moab, idealizou, e o que Balaam, o filho de Beor, lhe respondeu de Shittim a Gilgal, que você possa conhecer os atos justos de Yahweh”.
O my people, remember nowe what Balak King of Moab had deuised, and what Balaam the sonne of Beor answered him, from Shittim vnto Gilgal, that ye may knowe the righteousnes of the Lord.
6 Como devo chegar antes de Yahweh, e me curvar diante do Deus exaltado? Devo ir diante dele com ofertas queimadas, com bezerros de um ano de idade?
Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bowe my selfe before the hie God? Shall I come before him with burnt offrings, and with calues of a yeere olde?
7 Yahweh ficará satisfeito com milhares de carneiros? Com dezenas de milhares de rios de petróleo? Devo dar meu primogênito pela minha desobediência? O fruto do meu corpo para o pecado da minha alma?
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousand riuers of oyle? shall I giue my first borne for my transgression, euen the fruite of my bodie, for the sinne of my soule?
8 Ele mostrou a você, ó homem, o que é bom. O que Yahweh exige de você, mas agir de forma justa, amar a misericórdia, e caminhar humildemente com seu Deus?
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requireth of thee: surely to doe iustly, and to loue mercie, and to humble thy selfe, to walke with thy God.
9 As chamadas de voz de Yahweh para a cidade... e a sabedoria teme seu nome... “Ouça a vara”, e aquele que o nomeou.
The Lordes voyce cryeth vnto the citie, and the man of wisedome shall see thy name: Heare the rodde, and who hath appoynted it.
10 Existem ainda tesouros de maldade na casa dos ímpios, e uma pequena efa que é amaldiçoada?
Are yet the treasures of wickednes in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure, that is abominable?
11 Devo tolerar escalas desonestas, e um saco de pesos enganosos?
Shall I iustifie the wicked balances, and the bag of deceitfull weightes?
12 Seus homens ricos estão cheios de violência, seus habitantes falam mentiras, e sua língua é enganosa em seu discurso.
For the rich men thereof are full of crueltie, and the inhabitants thereof haue spoken lyes, and their tongue is deceitfull in their mouth.
13 Por isso, eu também o atingi com uma ferida grave. Eu o deixei desolado por causa de seus pecados.
Therefore also will I make thee sicke in smiting thee, and in making thee desolate, because of thy sinnes.
14 Você deve comer, mas não ficar satisfeito. Sua fome estará dentro de você. Você vai armazenar, mas não economizar, e aquilo que você salvar, eu desistirei da espada.
Thou shalt eate and not be satisfied, and thy casting downe shall be in the mids of thee, and thou shalt take holde, but shalt not deliuer: and that which thou deliuerest, will I giue vp to the sworde.
15 Você vai semear, mas não vai colher. Você vai pisar as azeitonas, mas não vai se ungir com óleo; e esmagam uvas, mas não bebem o vinho.
Thou shalt sowe, but not reape: thou shalt treade the oliues, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oyle, and make sweete wine, but shalt not drinke wine.
16 Pois os estatutos da Omri são mantidos, e todas as obras da casa de Ahab. Você entra nos conselhos deles, que eu possa fazer de você uma ruína, e seus habitantes um assobio. Vocês suportarão a reprovação do meu povo”.
For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the maner of the house of Ahab, and ye walke in their counsels, that I should make thee waste, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall beare the reproche of my people.
