Miquéias 5
1 Agora você deve se reunir em tropas, filha de tropas. Ele nos cercou. Eles atacarão o juiz de Israel com uma vara na bochecha.
Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops; they lay siege against us: with the rod they smite upon the cheek the judge of Israel.
2 Mas você, Belém Ephrathah, ser pequeno entre os clãs de Judá, de vocês sairá um para mim que será o governante em Israel; cujas saídas são de outrora, de tempos antigos.
But thou, Beth-lechem Ephratah, the least [though] thou be among the thousands of Judah, [yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel, whose origin is from olden times, from most ancient days.
3 Portanto, ele os abandonará até o momento em que ela, que está em trabalho de parto, der à luz. Então o resto de seus irmãos voltará para os filhos de Israel.
Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she who travaileth hath brought forth: then shall the remnant of his brethren return with the children of Israel.
4 Ele permanecerá de pé e pastoreará na força de Iavé, na majestade do nome de Yahweh seu Deus. Eles viverão, pois então ele será grande até os confins da terra.
And he shall stand forward and feed [Israel] through the strength of the Lord, through the excellency of the name of the Lord his God: and they shall abide [safely]; for now shall he be great even unto the ends of the earth.
5 Ele será nossa paz quando a Assíria invadir nossa terra e quando ele marcha através de nossas fortalezas, então vamos levantar contra ele sete pastores, e oito líderes de homens.
And in this [manner] shall there be peace: If Asshur should come into our land; and if he should tread in our palaces, then will we raise up against him seven shepherds, and eight anointed men.
6 Eles governarão a terra da Assíria com a espada, e a terra de Nimrod em seus portões. Ele nos entregará da Assíria, quando ele invade nossa terra, e quando ele marchar dentro de nossa fronteira.
And they shall lay waste the land of Asshur with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the gates of its [cities]: thus will he deliver us from Asshur, if he should come into our land, and if he should tread within our borders.
7 O remanescente de Jacob estará entre muitos povos como o orvalho de Yahweh, como chuveiros sobre a grama, que não esperam pelo homem nem esperar pelos filhos dos homens.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people like dew from the Lord, like showers upon the herbs, that wait not for man, nor hope for the sons of man.
8 O remanescente de Jacob estará entre as nações, entre muitos povos, como um leão entre os animais da floresta, como um leão jovem entre os rebanhos de ovelhas; que, se ele passar, pisa e rasga em pedaços, e não há ninguém para entregar.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations, in the midst of many people, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep: who, if he break in, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, while none can deliver.
9 Deixe sua mão ser erguida acima de seus adversários, e deixar que todos os seus inimigos sejam cortados.
High shall thy hand be lifted up above thy adversaries, and all thy enemies shall be cut off.
10 “Isso acontecerá naquele dia”, diz Yahweh, “que eu cortarei seus cavalos dentre vocês e destruirá suas carruagens.
And it shall come to pass on that day, saith the Lord, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots;
11 Cortarei as cidades de sua terra e derrubará todas as suas fortalezas.
And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and I will throw down all thy strongholds;
12 Destruirei a feitiçaria de sua mão. Você não terá adivinhadores.
And I will cut off the arts of witchcraft out of thy hand; and soothsayers shalt thou have no more;
13 I cortará suas imagens gravadas e seus pilares de entre vocês; e você não mais adorará o trabalho de suas mãos.
And I will cut off thy graven images, and thy statues out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more prostrate thyself to the work of thy hands;
14 Desarraigarei seus bastões de Asherah de entre vocês; e eu destruirei suas cidades.
And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee; and I will destroy thy enemies.
15 I vai executar a vingança com raiva e a ira sobre as nações que não ouviram”.
And I will in anger and in fury execute vengeance upon the nations, upon those that have not hearkened.
