Lucas 11
1 Quando ele terminou de orar em um determinado lugar, um de seus discípulos lhe disse: “Senhor, ensina-nos a orar, assim como João também ensinou seus discípulos”.
And it came to pass as he was in a certain place praying, when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray, even as John also taught his disciples.
2 Ele lhes disse: “Quando você rezar, diga, Pai nosso no céu, que seu nome seja mantido sagrado. Que venha seu Reino. Que sua vontade seja feita na terra, como é no céu.
And he said to them, When ye pray, say, Father, thy name be hallowed; thy kingdom come;
3 Dê-nos dia a dia o pão nosso de cada dia.
give us our needed bread for each day;
4 Perdoe-nos nossos pecados, pois nós mesmos também perdoamos a todos que estão em dívida conosco. Não nos deixe cair em tentação, mas livrai-nos do maligno””.
and remit us our sins, for we also remit to every one indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation.
5 Ele lhes disse: “Qual de vocês, se forem a um amigo à meia-noite e lhe disserem: 'Amigo, empreste-me três pães,
And he said to them, Who among you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight and say to him, Friend, let me have three loaves,
6 pois um amigo meu veio até mim de uma viagem, e eu não tenho nada para lhe apresentar',
since a friend of mine on a journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him;
7 e ele de dentro responderá e dirá: 'Não me incomode'. A porta agora está fechada, e meus filhos estão comigo na cama. Eu não posso me levantar e dar a você”?
and he within answering should say, Do not disturb me; the door is already shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise up to give [it] thee?
8 Eu lhe digo, embora ele não se levante e lho dê porque é seu amigo, mas por causa de sua persistência, ele se levantará e lhe dará tantas quantas ele precisar.
— I say to you, Although he will not get up and give [them] to him because he is his friend, because of his shamelessness, at any rate, he will rise and give him as many as he wants.
9 “Eu lhe digo, continue pedindo, e lhe será dado. Continue procurando, e você encontrará”. Continue batendo, e ele será aberto para você”.
And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
10 Para todos que pedem, recebe. Aquele que procura encontra. Para aquele que bate, será aberto.
For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it will be opened.
11 “Qual de vocês, pais, se seu filho pedir pão, lhe dará uma pedra? Ou se ele pedir um peixe, ele não lhe dará uma cobra em vez de um peixe, dará?
But of whom of you that is a father shall a son ask bread, and [the father] shall give him a stone? or also a fish, and instead of a fish shall give him a serpent?
12 Ou se ele pedir um ovo, ele não lhe dará um escorpião, dará?
or if also he shall ask an egg, shall give him a scorpion?
13 Se você então, sendo mau, sabe como dar bons dons a seus filhos, quanto mais seu Pai celestial dará o Espírito Santo àqueles que lhe pedirem”?
If therefore ye, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall the Father who is of heaven give [the] Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
14 Ele estava expulsando um demônio, e ele era mudo. Quando o demônio tinha saído, o homem mudo falou; e as multidões se maravilharam.
And he was casting out a demon, and it was dumb; and it came to pass, the demon being gone out, the dumb [man] spoke. And the crowds wondered.
15 Mas alguns deles disseram: “Ele expulsa demônios por Belzebu, o príncipe dos demônios”.
But some from among them said, By Beelzebub the prince of the demons casts he out demons.
16 Outros, testando-o, procuraram dele um sinal do céu.
And others tempting [him] sought from him a sign out of heaven.
17 Mas ele, conhecendo seus pensamentos, disse-lhes: “Todo reino dividido contra si mesmo é levado à desolação”. Uma casa dividida contra si mesma cai”.
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation: and a house set against a house falls;
18 Se Satanás também está dividido contra si mesmo, como ficará seu reino? Pois dizem que eu expulso demônios por Belzebu.
and if also Satan is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom subsist? because ye say that I cast out demons by Beelzebub.
19 Mas se eu expulso demônios por Belzebu, por quem seus filhos os expulsam? Portanto, eles serão seus juízes.
But if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, your sons — by whom do they cast [them] out? For this reason they shall be your judges.
20 Mas se eu expulso demônios pelo dedo de Deus, então o Reino de Deus chegou até você.
But if by the finger of God I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God is come upon you.
21 “Quando o homem forte, totalmente armado, guarda sua própria moradia, seus bens estão seguros.
When the strong [man] armed keeps his own house, his goods are in peace;
22 Mas quando alguém mais forte o ataca e o supera, ele tira dele toda a armadura em que confiava e divide seu saque.
but when the stronger than he coming upon [him] overcomes him, he takes away his panoply in which he trusted, and he will divide the spoil [he has taken] from him.
23 “Aquele que não está comigo está contra mim”. Aquele que não se reúne comigo espalha-se.
He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathers not with me scatters.
24 O espírito impuro, quando sai do homem, passa por lugares secos, procurando descanso; e não encontrando nenhum, diz ele, “voltarei para minha casa da qual saí”.
When the unclean spirit has gone out of the man, he goes through dry places seeking rest; and not finding [any] he says, I will return to my house whence I came out.
25 Quando ele retorna, ele o encontra varrido e colocado em ordem.
And having come, he finds it swept and adorned.
26 Então ele vai e leva outros sete espíritos mais maus do que ele, e eles entram e moram lá. O último estado daquele homem torna-se pior do que o primeiro”.
Then he goes and takes seven other spirits worse than himself, and entering in, they dwell there; and the last condition of that man becomes worse than the first.
27 Ao dizer estas coisas, uma certa mulher da multidão levantou a voz e disse-lhe: “Abençoado seja o ventre que te suportou, e os seios que te amamentaram”!
And it came to pass as he spake these things, a certain woman, lifting up her voice out of the crowd, said to him, Blessed is the womb that has borne thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
28 Mas ele disse: “Pelo contrário, bem-aventurados são aqueles que ouvem a palavra de Deus e a guardam”.
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God and keep [it].
29 Quando as multidões se reuniam a ele, ele começou a dizer: “Esta é uma geração maligna”. Ela procura por um sinal. Nenhum sinal lhe será dado a não ser o sinal de Jonas, o profeta.
But as the crowds thronged together, he began to say, This generation is a wicked generation: it seeks a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it but the sign of Jonas.
30 Pois mesmo quando Jonas se tornou um sinal para os Ninevitas, assim o Filho do Homem também será para esta geração.
For as Jonas was a sign to the Ninevites, thus shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
31 A Rainha do Sul se levantará no julgamento com os homens desta geração e os condenará, pois ela veio dos confins da terra para ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão; e eis que um maior do que Salomão está aqui.
A queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and shall condemn them: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, more than Solomon is here.
32 Os homens de Nínive se levantarão no julgamento com esta geração, e o condenarão, pois se arrependeram da pregação de Jonas; e eis que está aqui um maior do que Jonas.
Men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and behold, more than Jonas is here.
33 “Ninguém, quando acendeu uma lâmpada, a coloca em uma adega ou debaixo de uma cesta, mas em um suporte, para que aqueles que entrem possam ver a luz.
But no one having lit a lamp sets it in secret, nor under the corn-measure, but on the lamp-stand, that they who enter in may see the light.
34 A lâmpada do corpo é o olho. Portanto, quando seu olho é bom, seu corpo inteiro também está cheio de luz; mas quando é mau, seu corpo também está cheio de escuridão.
The lamp of the body is thine eye: when thine eye is simple, thy whole body also is light; but when it is wicked, thy body also is dark.
35 Portanto, veja se a luz que está em você não é escuridão.
See therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 Portanto, se seu corpo inteiro está cheio de luz, não tendo nenhuma parte escura, estará totalmente cheio de luz, como quando a lâmpada com seu brilho brilhante lhe dá luz”.
If therefore thy whole body [is] light, not having any part dark, it shall be all light as when the lamp lights thee with its brightness.
37 Agora, enquanto ele falava, um certo fariseu lhe pediu para jantar com ele. Ele entrou e sentou-se à mesa.
But as he spoke, a certain Pharisee asked him that he would dine with him; and entering in he placed himself at table.
38 Quando o fariseu o viu, ele se maravilhou de não se ter lavado antes do jantar.
But the Pharisee seeing [it] wondered that he had not first washed before dinner.
39 O Senhor lhe disse: “Agora vocês fariseus limpam o exterior do copo e do prato, mas seu interior está cheio de extorsão e de maldade”.
But the Lord said to him, Now do ye Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but your inward [parts] are full of plunder and wickedness.
40 Seus tolos, aquele que fez o exterior não fez também o interior?
Fools, has not he who has made the outside made the inside also?
41 Mas dê de presente aos necessitados as coisas que estão dentro, e eis que todas as coisas serão limpas para você.
But rather give alms of what ye have, and behold, all things are clean to you.
42 Mas ai de vocês, fariseus! Por vós, o dízimo da hortelã e da arruda e de toda erva, mas vós ignorais a justiça e o amor de Deus. Vocês deveriam ter feito isto, e não ter deixado o outro por fazer.
But woe unto you, Pharisees, for ye pay tithes of mint and rue and every herb, and pass by the judgment and the love of God: these ye ought to have done, and not have left those aside.
43 Ai de vocês, fariseus! Pois vocês amam os melhores lugares nas sinagogas e as saudações nos mercados.
Woe unto you, Pharisees, for ye love the first seat in the synagogues and salutations in the market-places.
44 Ai de vocês, escribas e fariseus, hipócritas! Pois vocês são como sepulturas escondidas, e os homens que caminham sobre elas não o sabem”.
Woe unto you, for ye are as the sepulchres which appear not, and the men walking over them do not know [it].
45 Um dos advogados lhe respondeu: “Professor, ao dizer isto você nos insulta também”.
And one of the doctors of the law answering says to him, Teacher, in saying these things thou insultest us also.
46 Ele disse: “Ai de vocês, advogados também! Pois vocês carregam homens com fardos que são difíceis de carregar, e vocês mesmos não levantarão nem mesmo um dedo para ajudar a carregar esses fardos”.
And he said, To you also woe, doctors of the law, for ye lay upon men burdens heavy to bear, and yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.
47 Ai de vocês! Pois vocês constroem os túmulos dos profetas, e seus pais os mataram.
Woe unto you, for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, but your fathers killed them.
48 Assim vocês testemunham e consentem com as obras de seus pais. Pois eles os mataram, e vocês constroem seus túmulos.
Ye bear witness then, and consent to the works of your fathers; for they killed them, and ye build [their sepulchres].
49 Portanto, também a sabedoria de Deus disse: 'Enviar-lhes-ei profetas e apóstolos; e alguns deles matarão e perseguirão,
For this reason also the wisdom of God has said, I will send to them prophets and apostles, and of these shall they kill and drive out by persecution,
50 para que o sangue de todos os profetas, derramado desde a fundação do mundo, possa ser exigido desta geração,
that the blood of all the prophets which has been poured out from the foundation of the world may be required of this generation,
51 do sangue de Abel ao sangue de Zacarias, que pereceu entre o altar e o santuário'. Sim, eu lhes digo, será exigido desta geração”.
from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zacharias, who perished between the altar and the house; yea, I say to you, it shall be required of this generation.
52 Ai de vocês, advogados! Pois vocês tiraram a chave do conhecimento. Vocês não entraram em vocês mesmos, e aqueles que estavam entrando, vocês dificultaram”.
Woe unto you, the doctors of the law, for ye have taken away the key of knowledge; yourselves have not entered in, and those who were entering in ye have hindered.
53 Enquanto ele lhes dizia estas coisas, os escribas e os fariseus começaram a ficar terrivelmente zangados e a tirar muitas coisas dele,
And as he said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press him urgently, and to make him speak of many things;
54 esperando por ele, e procurando pegá-lo em algo que ele pudesse dizer, para que o pudessem acusar.
watching him, [and seeking] to catch something out of his mouth, [that they might accuse him].
