Lamentações de Jeremias 5
1 Lembre-se, Yahweh, do que nos aconteceu. Veja, e veja nossa reprovação.
Remember, O Lord, what is come upon us: consider and behold our reproach.
2 Our a herança foi entregue a estranhos, nossas casas para alienígenas.
Our inheritance is turned to aliens: our houses to strangers.
3 We são órfãos e sem pai. Nossas mães são como viúvas.
We are become orphans without a father: our mothers are as widows.
4 We deve pagar pela água para beber. Nossa madeira é vendida para nós.
We have drunk our water for money: we have bought our wood.
5 Nossos perseguidores estão em nossos pescoços. Estamos cansados, e não temos descanso.
We were dragged by the necks, we were weary and no rest was given us.
6 We deram nossas mãos aos egípcios, e aos assírios, para ficar satisfeitos com o pão.
We have given our hand to Egypt, and to the Assyrians, that we might be satisfied with bread.
7 Nossos pais pecaram, e não são mais. Nós suportamos suas iniqüidades.
Our fathers have sinned, and are not: and we have borne their iniquities.
8 Os serventes dominam sobre nós. Não há ninguém para nos livrar de suas mãos.
Servants have ruled over us: there was none to redeem us out of their hand.
9 Nós recebemos nosso pão em perigo de vida, por causa da espada no deserto.
We fetched our bread at the peril of our lives, because of the sword in the desert.
10 Nossa pele é preta como um forno, por causa do calor abrasador da fome.
Our skin was burnt as an oven, by reason of the violence of the famine.
11 They arrebatou as mulheres em Zion, as virgens nas cidades de Judá.
They oppressed the women in Sion, and the virgins in the cities of Juda.
12 Os príncipes foram pendurados pelas mãos. Os rostos dos mais velhos não foram homenageados.
The princes were hanged up by their hand: they did not respect the persons of the ancient.
13 Os jovens carregam pedras de moinho. As crianças tropeçaram sob cargas de madeira.
They abused the young men indecently: and the children fell under the wood.
14 Os anciãos deixaram o portal, e os jovens de sua música.
The ancients have ceased from the gates: the young men from the choir of the singers.
15 A alegria de nosso coração cessou. Nossa dança se transforma em luto.
The joy of our heart is ceased, our dancing is turned into mourning.
16 A coroa caiu de nossa cabeça. Ai de nós, pois pecamos!
The crown is fallen from our head woe to us, because we have sinned.
17 Para isso, nosso coração está fraco. Para estas coisas, nossos olhos estão baixos:
Therefore is our heart sorrowful, therefore are our eyes become dim,
18 para a montanha de Sião, que está desolada. As raposas caminham sobre ela.
For mount Sion, because it is destroyed, foxes have walked upon it.
19 Você, Yahweh, permanece para sempre. Seu trono é de geração em geração.
But thou, O Lord, shalt remain for ever, thy throne from generation to generation.
20 Por que você nos esquece para sempre? e nos abandona por tanto tempo?
Why wilt thou forget us for ever? why wilt thou forsake us for a long time?
21 Volte-nos para si mesmo, Yahweh, e nós seremos voltados. Renovar nossos dias de antigamente.
Convert us, O Lord, to thee, and we shall be converted: renew our days, as from the beginning.
22 Mas você nos rejeitou totalmente. Você está muito zangado contra nós.
But thou hast utterly rejected us, thou art exceedingly angry against us.
