Lamentações de Jeremias 3
1 Eu sou o homem que tem visto aflição pela vara de sua ira.
I am a man who has seen misery under the rod of Yahweh's fury.
2 Ele me conduziu e me fez andar na escuridão, e não em luz.
He drove me away and caused me to walk in darkness rather than light.
3 Com certeza ele vira sua mão contra mim repetidamente durante todo o dia.
Surely he turned his hand against me again and again, the whole day long.
4 He fez minha carne e minha pele envelhecerem. Ele quebrou meus ossos.
He made my flesh and my skin waste away; he broke my bones.
5 Ele construiu contra mim, e me cercou de amargura e dificuldade.
He built up siege works against me, and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
6 He me fez morar em lugares escuros, como aqueles que estão há muito tempo mortos.
He made me live in dark places, like those who died long ago.
7 Ele me cercou, de modo que eu não posso sair. Ele tornou minha corrente pesada.
He built a wall around me and I cannot escape. He made my chains heavy
8 Sim, quando eu choro, e peço ajuda, ele fecha minha oração.
and though I call out and cry for help, he shut out my prayer.
9 He amuralhou meus caminhos com pedra cortada. Ele fez com que meus caminhos fossem tortos.
He blocked my path with a wall of hewn stone; he made my paths crooked.
10 Ele é para mim como um urso à espera, como um leão escondido.
He is like a bear waiting to ambush me, a lion in hiding;
11 Ele desviou meu caminho, e me puxou em pedaços. Ele me deixou desolado.
he turned aside my paths, he has made me desolate.
12 He dobrou seu arco, e me colocar como uma marca para a seta.
He bent his bow and set me as a target for his arrow.
13 Ele fez com que os eixos de sua aljava entrassem em meus rins.
He pierced my kidneys with the arrows of his quiver.
14 Eu me tornei um escárnio para todo o meu povo, e sua canção o dia inteiro.
I became a laughingstock to all my people, the object of their taunting all day long.
15 He me encheu de amargura. Ele me empanturrou de absinto.
He filled me with bitterness and forced me to drink wormwood.
16 He também quebrou meus dentes com cascalho. Ele me cobriu de cinzas.
He has made my teeth grind with gravel, and he made me cower in the ashes.
17 Você removeu minha alma para longe da paz. Eu esqueci a prosperidade.
My soul is deprived of peace; I have forgotten what happiness is.
18 Eu disse: “Minha força pereceu, junto com a minha expectativa de Yahweh”.
So I say, “My endurance has perished and so has my hope in Yahweh.”
19 Lembre-se de minha aflição e minha miséria, o absinto e a amargura.
Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and bitterness.
20 Minha alma ainda se lembra deles, e está curvado dentro de mim.
I continually remember it and I am bowed down within me.
21 Lembro-me disso em minha mente; portanto, tenho esperança.
But I call this to mind and therefore I have hope:
22 É por causa da bondade amorosa de Yahweh que não somos consumidos, porque suas misericórdias não falham.
The steadfast love of Yahweh never ceases and his compassions never end,
23 Eles são novos todas as manhãs. Grande é sua fidelidade.
they are new every morning; your faithfulness is great.
24 “Yahweh é minha porção”, diz minha alma. “Portanto, terei esperança nele”.
“Yahweh is my inheritance,” I said, therefore I will hope in him.
25 Yahweh é bom para aqueles que esperam por ele, para a alma que o procura.
Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the one who seeks him.
26 É bom que um homem tenha esperança e esperar silenciosamente pela salvação de Yahweh.
It is good to wait silently for the salvation of Yahweh.
27 É bom para um homem que ele carregue o jugo em sua juventude.
It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
28 Let ele se senta sozinho e guarda silêncio, porque ele o colocou sobre ele.
Let him sit alone in silence, when it is laid upon him.
29 Deixe-o colocar sua boca na poeira, se é para que possa haver esperança.
Let him put his mouth in the dust—there may yet be hope.
30 Deixe-o dar sua bochecha a quem o golpear. Que ele seja cheio de reprovação.
Let him offer his cheek to the one who strikes him, and let him be filled to the full with reproach.
31 Pois o Senhor não abandonará para sempre.
For the Lord will not reject us forever,
32 Pois embora ele cause tristeza, No entanto, ele terá compaixão de acordo com a multidão de suas carinhosas gentilezas.
but though he causes grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love.
33 Pois ele não aflige de bom grado, nem entristecer os filhos dos homens.
For he does not afflict from his heart or torment the children of mankind.
34 Para esmagar sob os pés todos os prisioneiros da terra,
To crush underfoot all the prisoners of the earth,
35 para recusar o direito de um homem diante da face do Altíssimo,
to deny a man justice in the presence of the Most High,
36 para subverter um homem em sua causa, o Senhor não aprova.
to deny justice to a person—the Lord would not approve such things!
37 Quem é quem diz, e assim acontece, quando o Senhor não o ordena?
Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord decreed it?
38 O mal e o bem não saem da boca do Altíssimo?
Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and the good come?
39 Por que um homem vivo deveria reclamar, um homem pela punição de seus pecados?
How can any person alive complain? How can a person complain about the punishment for his sins?
40 Let nós procuramos e tentamos nossos caminhos, e voltar-se novamente para Yahweh.
Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to Yahweh.
41 Let eleva nosso coração com nossas mãos a Deus no céu.
Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in the heavens:
42 “Transgredimos e nos rebelamos. Você não perdoou.
“We have transgressed and rebelled, and you have not forgiven.
43 “Você nos cobriu de raiva e nos perseguiu. Você matou. Você não se arrependeu.
You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us, you have killed and you have not spared.
44 You se cobriu com uma nuvem, para que nenhuma oração possa passar.
You have covered yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can pass through.
45 Você fez de nós um “off-scouring” e recusa no meio dos povos.
You have made us like filthy scum and refuse among the nations.
46 “Todos os nossos inimigos abriram bem a boca contra nós.
All our enemies curse us,
47 O terror e o poço vieram sobre nós, devastação e destruição”.
panic and pitfall have come upon us, ruin and destruction.
48 Meu olho se esgota com correntes de água, para a destruição da filha do meu povo.
My eyes flow with streams of tears because my people are destroyed.
49 Meus olhos se abaixam e não cessa, sem qualquer interlúdio,
My eyes will shed tears without ceasing, without relief,
50 até Yahweh olhar para baixo, e vê do céu.
until Yahweh from heaven looks down and sees.
51 Meu olho afeta minha alma, por causa de todas as filhas de minha cidade.
My eyes cause me grief because of all the daughters of my city.
52 Eles me perseguiram implacavelmente como um pássaro, aqueles que são meus inimigos sem causa.
I have been hunted like a bird by those who were my enemies; they hunted me without a reason.
53 They cortaram minha vida no calabouço, e atiraram uma pedra em mim.
They cast me into a pit and they threw a stone on me,
54 As águas passavam por cima da minha cabeça. Eu disse: “Estou cortado”.
and they caused waters to overflow, covering my head. I said, 'I have been cut off!'
55 Eu invoquei seu nome, Yahweh, da masmorra mais baixa.
I called on your name, Yahweh, from the depths of the pit.
56 Você ouviu minha voz: “Não esconda seu ouvido do meu suspiro, e meu choro”.
You heard my voice when I said, 'Do not close your ear to my cry for help.'
57 Você chegou perto no dia em que eu o chamei. Você disse: “Não tenha medo”.
You came near on the day I called on you; you said, 'Do not fear.'
58 Senhor, Vós invocastes as causas da minha alma. Você resgatou minha vida.
Lord, you defended my case, you saved my life!
59 Yahweh, você viu meu erro. Julgue minha causa.
Yahweh, you have seen the wrong they have done to me; judge my case.
60 Você já viu toda a vingança deles e todos os seus planos contra mim.
You have seen their insults, all their plots against me—
61 Você ouviu a reprovação deles, Yahweh, e todos os seus planos contra mim,
You have heard their scorn, Yahweh, and all their plans regarding me.
62 os lábios daqueles que se levantaram contra mim, e suas parcelas contra mim o dia inteiro.
The lips and the accusations of my enemies come against me all the day.
63 Você vê eles se sentarem e se levantarem. Eu sou a canção deles.
Look at how they sit and then rise up; they mock me with their songs.
64 Você os pagará de volta, Yahweh, de acordo com o trabalho de suas mãos.
Pay back to them, Yahweh, according to what they have done.
65 Você lhes dará dureza de coração, sua maldição para eles.
You will let their hearts be shameless! May your condemnation be upon them!
66 Você vai persegui-los com raiva, e destruí-los sob os céus de Yahweh.
You pursue them in anger and destroy them from under the heavens, Yahweh!”
