Juízes 5
1 Então Deborah e Barak, o filho de Abinoam, cantaram naquele dia, dizendo,
Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,
2 “Porque os líderes assumiram a liderança em Israel, porque as pessoas se ofereceram de boa vontade, seja abençoado, Yahweh!
For that the leaders took the lead in Israel, For that the people offered themselves willingly, Bless ye Jehovah.
3 “Ouçam, seus reis! Dêem ouvidos, seus príncipes! Eu, até eu, vou cantar para Yahweh. Cantarei louvores a Iavé, o Deus de Israel.
Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, [even] I, will sing unto Jehovah; I will sing praise to Jehovah, the God of Israel.
4 “Yahweh, quando você saiu de Seir, quando você marchou para fora do campo de Edom, a terra tremiu, o céu também caiu. Sim, as nuvens deixaram cair água.
Jehovah, when thou wentest forth out of Seir, When thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped, Yea, the clouds dropped water.
5 As montanhas tremeram com a presença de Yahweh, mesmo o Sinai na presença de Iavé, o Deus de Israel.
The mountains quaked at the presence of Jehovah, Even yon Sinai at the presence of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
6 “Nos dias de Shamgar, o filho de Anath, nos dias de Jael, as rodovias estavam desocupadas. Os viajantes passaram por caminhos de passagem.
In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, In the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, And the travellers walked through byways.
7 Os governantes cessaram em Israel. Eles cessaram até que eu, Deborah, me levantei; Até que eu me tornei mãe em Israel.
The rulers ceased in Israel, they ceased, Until that I Deborah arose, That I arose a mother in Israel.
8 Eles escolheram novos deuses. Então, a guerra estava nos portões. Foi visto um escudo ou uma lança entre quarenta mil em Israel?
They chose new gods; Then was war in the gates: Was there a shield or spear seen Among forty thousand in Israel?
9 Meu coração está voltado para os governadores de Israel, que se ofereceram voluntariamente entre o povo. Abençoado Yahweh!
My heart is toward the governors of Israel, That offered themselves willingly among the people: Bless ye Jehovah.
10 “Fale, você que monta em burros brancos, você que se senta em tapetes ricos, e você que caminha pelo caminho.
Tell [of it], ye that ride on white asses, Ye that sit on rich carpets, And ye that walk by the way.
11 Far do barulho dos arqueiros, nos locais de extração de água, ali ensaiarão os atos justos de Yahweh, os atos justos de seu governo em Israel. “Então o povo de Yahweh desceu até os portões.
Far from the noise of archers, in the places of drawing water, There shall they rehearse the righteous acts of Jehovah, [Even] the righteous acts of his rule in Israel. Then the people of Jehovah went down to the gates.
12 'Desperta, desperta, Deborah! Despertai, despertai, entoai uma canção! Levanta-te, Barak, e afasta teus cativos, seu filho de Abinoam”.
Awake, awake, Deborah; Awake, awake, utter a song: Arise, Barak, and lead away thy captives, thou son of Abinoam.
13 “Então um remanescente dos nobres e do povo veio abaixo. Yahweh desceu por mim contra os poderosos.
Then came down a remnant of the nobles [and] the people; Jehovah came down for me against the mighty.
14 Aqueles cuja raiz está em Amalek saíram de Ephraim, depois de você, Benjamin, entre seus povos. Os governadores saem de Machir. Aqueles que lidam com o pessoal do marechal saíram de Zebulun.
Out of Ephraim [came down] they whose root is in Amalek; After thee, Benjamin, among thy peoples; Out of Machir came down governors, And out of Zebulun they that handle the marshal’s staff.
15 Os príncipes de Issachar estavam com Deborah. Assim como Issachar, Barak também o foi. Eles correram para o vale a seus pés. Pelos cursos de água de Reuben, havia grandes resoluções de coração.
And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; As was Issachar, so was Barak; Into the valley they rushed forth at his feet. By the watercourses of Reuben There were great resolves of heart.
16 Por que você se sentou entre os rebanhos de ovelhas? Para ouvir o assobio para os rebanhos? Nos cursos de água de Reuben, houve grandes buscas de coração.
Why sattest thou among the sheepfolds, To hear the pipings for the flocks? At the watercourses of Reuben There were great searchings of heart.
17 Gilead viveu além do Jordão. Por que Dan permaneceu nos navios? Asher sentou-se ainda no paraíso do mar, e viveu junto a seus riachos.
Gilead abode beyond the Jordan: And Dan, why did he remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, And abode by his creeks.
18 Zebulun foi um povo que arriscou suas vidas até a morte; Naftali também, nos lugares altos do campo.
Zebulun was a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death, And Naphtali, upon the high places of the field.
19 “Os reis vieram e lutaram, então os reis de Canaã lutaram em Taanach pelas águas de Megiddo. Eles não levaram nenhum saque de prata.
The kings came and fought; Then fought the kings of Canaan, In Taanach by the waters of Megiddo: They took no gain of money.
20 Do céu, as estrelas lutaram. A partir de seus cursos, eles lutaram contra Sisera.
From heaven fought the stars, From their courses they fought against Sisera.
21 O rio Kishon os varreu, aquele antigo rio, o rio Kishon. Minha alma, marchar com força.
The river Kishon swept them away, That ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, march on with strength.
22 Depois os cascos de cavalo carimbados por causa do empinado, o empinar-se de seus fortes.
Then did the horsehoofs stamp By reason of the prancings, the prancings of their strong ones.
23 'Maldito Meroz', disse o anjo de Yahweh. “Amaldiçoar amargamente seus habitantes”, porque eles não vieram para ajudar Yahweh, para ajudar Yahweh contra os poderosos”.
Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of Jehovah. Curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof, Because they came not to the help of Jehovah, To the help of Jehovah against the mighty.
24 “Jael será abençoada acima das mulheres, a esposa de Heber, o Kenita; abençoada deve estar acima das mulheres na tenda.
Blessed above women shall Jael be, The wife of Heber the Kenite; Blessed shall she be above women in the tent.
25 Ele pediu água. Ela lhe deu leite. Ela lhe trouxe manteiga em um prato nobre.
He asked water, [and] she gave him milk; She brought him butter in a lordly dish.
26 She coloque sua mão na cavilha da barraca, e sua mão direita para o martelo dos operários. Com o martelo, ela bateu em Sisera. Ela bateu com a cabeça dele. Sim, ela furou e bateu em seus templos.
She put her hand to the tent-pin, And her right hand to the workmen’s hammer; And with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote through his head; Yea, she pierced and struck through his temples.
27 A seus pés ele se curvou, caiu, deitou-se. A seus pés ele se curvou, ele caiu. Onde ele se curvou, lá ele caiu morto.
At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay; At her feet he bowed, he fell: Where he bowed, there he fell down dead.
28 “Através da janela ela olhou para fora, e chorou: A mãe de Sisera olhou através da grade. Por que sua carruagem está demorando tanto para chegar? Por que as rodas de suas carruagens esperam?
Through the window she looked forth, and cried, The mother of Sisera [cried] through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the wheels of his chariots?
29 Suas sábias senhoras lhe responderam, Sim, ela voltou a responder a si mesma,
Her wise ladies answered her, Yea, she returned answer to herself,
30 'Eles não encontraram, eles não dividiram o saque? Uma dama, duas damas para cada homem; a Sisera um saque de peças de vestuário tingidas, um saque de peças de vestuário tingidas bordadas, de peças de vestuário tingidas bordadas de ambos os lados, no pescoço do saque...
Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A damsel, two damsels to every man; To Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, A spoil of dyed garments embroidered, Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil?
31 “Então deixe todos os seus inimigos perecerem, Yahweh, mas que aqueles que o amam sejam como o sol quando ele se levanta em sua força”. Depois, a terra teve um descanso de quarenta anos.
So let all thine enemies perish, O Jehovah: But let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
