Jonas 2
1 Então Jonas rezou a Javé, seu Deus, da barriga do peixe.
Then Ionah prayed vnto the Lord his God out of the fishes belly,
2 Ele disse, “Eu liguei por causa de minha aflição a Javé. Ele me respondeu. Da barriga do Sheol eu chorei. Você ouviu minha voz. (Sheol h7585)
And said, I cryed in mine affliction vnto the Lord, and he heard me: out of the bellie of hell cryed I, and thou heardest my voyce. (Sheol h7585)
3 Para você me atirou nas profundezas, no coração dos mares. A enchente estava ao meu redor. Todas as suas ondas e seus billows passaram sobre mim.
For thou haddest cast me into the bottome in the middes of the sea, and the floods compassed me about: all thy surges, and all thy waues passed ouer me.
4 Eu disse: 'Fui banido de sua vista'; no entanto, olharei novamente para o seu santo templo”.
Then I saide, I am cast away out of thy sight: yet will I looke againe towarde thine holy Temple.
5 As águas me cercaram, até mesmo para a alma. O fundo estava ao meu redor. As ervas daninhas estavam enroladas ao redor da minha cabeça.
The waters compassed me about vnto the soule: the depth closed me rounde about, and the weedes were wrapt about mine head.
6 Desci até o fundo das montanhas. A terra me barrou para sempre; no entanto, você tirou minha vida do poço, Yahweh meu Deus.
I went downe to the bottome of the moutaines: the earth with her barres was about me for euer, yet hast thou brought vp my life from the pit, O Lord my God.
7 “Quando minha alma desmaiou dentro de mim, eu me lembrei de Yahweh. Minha oração chegou até você, em seu templo sagrado.
When my soule fainted within me, I remembred the Lord: and my prayer came vnto thee, into thine holy Temple.
8 Aqueles que consideram ídolos vaidosos abandonam sua própria misericórdia.
They that waite vpon lying vanities, forsake their owne mercie.
9 Mas sacrificarei a vocês com a voz da ação de graças. Pagarei o que prometi. A salvação pertence a Yahweh”.
But I will sacrifice vnto thee with the voice of thankesgiuing, and will pay that that I haue vowed: saluation is of the Lord.
10 Então Yahweh falou com os peixes, e vomitou Jonas em terra firme.
And the Lord spake vnto the fish, and it cast out Ionah vpon the dry lande.
