1 Depois destas coisas, Jesus foi para o outro lado do mar da Galiléia, que também é chamado de Mar de Tiberíades.
After these things, Jesus went away across the sea of Galilee, that is, of Tiberias;
2 Uma grande multidão o seguiu, porque viram seus sinais que ele fez sobre aqueles que estavam doentes.
and there was following him a great multitude, because they had been viewing the signs which he did upon such as were sick.
3 Jesus subiu à montanha, e sentou-se ali com seus discípulos.
But Jesus had gone up into the mountain, and, there, was sitting with his disciples.
4 Agora a Páscoa, a festa dos judeus, estava próxima.
Now the passover was near, the feast of the Jews.
5 Jesus, portanto, levantando os olhos e vendo que uma grande multidão vinha até ele, disse a Filipe: “Onde vamos comprar pão, para que estes possam comer?
So then Jesus, lifting up his eyes, and beholding that a great multitude was coming unto him, saith unto Philip—Whence are we to buy loaves, that these may eat?
6 Ele disse isto para testá-lo, pois ele mesmo sabia o que iria fazer.
But, this, he was saying, to test him; for, he himself, knew, what he was about to do.
7 Philip respondeu-lhe: “Duzentos denários de pão não são suficientes para eles, para que cada um deles possa receber um pouco”.
Philip answered him—Two hundred denaries-worth of loaves, are not sufficient for them, that, each one, may take, a little.
8 Um de seus discípulos, André, irmão de Simão Pedro, disse-lhe:
One from among his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, saith unto him—
9 “Há aqui um menino que tem cinco pães de cevada e dois peixes, mas o que são estes entre tantos”?
There is a little lad here, that hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes, —but, these, —what are they, for such numbers?
10 Jesus disse: “Mande o povo se sentar”. Agora havia muita grama naquele lugar. Então os homens se sentaram, em número de cerca de cinco mil.
Jesus said—Make the people recline. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men reclined, to the number of about five thousand.
11 Jesus tomou os pães, e tendo dado graças, distribuiu aos discípulos, e os discípulos aos que estavam sentados, também dos peixes, tanto quanto eles desejavam.
Jesus therefore took the loaves, and, giving thanks, went on distributing unto them that reclined; in like manner, of the small fishes also: as much as they were wishing.
12 Quando estavam cheios, ele disse a seus discípulos: “Recolham os pedaços que sobram, que nada se perca”.
And, when they were well-filled, he saith unto his disciples—Gather up the broken pieces left over, that nothing be lost.
13 Então eles os reuniram, e encheram doze cestas com pedaços quebrados dos cinco pães de cevada, que foram deixados por aqueles que haviam comido.
So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets, with broken pieces out of the five barley loaves, —which were left over by them who had eaten.
14 Quando as pessoas viram o sinal que Jesus fez, disseram: “Este é verdadeiramente o profeta que vem ao mundo”.
The people, therefore, seeing what signs he wrought, began to say—This, is, of a truth, the prophet who was to come into the world.
15 Jesus, portanto, percebendo que eles estavam prestes a vir e levá-lo à força para fazê-lo rei, retirou-se novamente para a montanha por si mesmo.
Jesus, therefore, getting to know that they were about to come, and seize him, that they might make him king, retired again into the mountain, himself, alone.
16 Quando chegou a noite, seus discípulos desceram ao mar.
But, when evening came, his disciples went down unto the sea;
17 Eles entraram no barco e estavam indo sobre o mar até Cafarnaum. Agora estava escuro, e Jesus não tinha vindo até eles.
and, entering into a boat, were going across the sea into Capernaum. And, dark, already, had it become, and, not yet, had Jesus reached them;
18 O mar foi atirado por um grande vento que soprava.
moreover the sea, by reason of a great wind that blew, was rising high.
19 Quando eles tinham remado cerca de vinte e cinco ou trinta estádios, viram Jesus caminhando sobre o mar e se aproximando do barco; e ficaram com medo.
Having therefore rowed about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they observe Jesus, walking upon the sea, and, near the boat, coming; and they were affrighted.
20 Mas ele lhes disse: “Eu Sou Ele. Não tenham medo”.
But, he, saith unto them—It is, I: be not affrighted!
21 Eles estavam, portanto, dispostos a recebê-lo dentro do barco. Imediatamente o barco estava na terra para onde eles estavam indo.
They were willing, therefore, to receive him into the boat; and, straightway, the boat was at land, whither they had been slowly going.
22 No dia seguinte, a multidão que estava do outro lado do mar viu que não havia outro barco ali, exceto aquele em que seus discípulos haviam embarcado, e que Jesus não havia entrado com seus discípulos no barco, mas que seus discípulos haviam ido embora sozinhos.
On the morrow, the multitude that was standing on the other side of the sea, saw that there was not, another small-boat, there, save one, —and that Jesus entered not, along with his disciples, unto the boat, but that, alone, his disciples departed: —
23 No entanto, barcos de Tiberíades aproximaram-se do lugar onde comeram o pão depois que o Senhor lhes deu graças.
howbeit there came boats out of Tiberias, near the place where they did eat the bread, after the Lord had given thanks: —
24 Quando a multidão viu que Jesus não estava lá, nem seus discípulos, eles mesmos entraram nos barcos e vieram para Cafarnaum, procurando Jesus.
When, therefore, the multitude saw, that, Jesus, was not there, nor yet his disciples, they themselves, got into the small boats, and came unto Capernaum, seeking Jesus;
25 Quando o encontraram do outro lado do mar, perguntaram-lhe: “Rabino, quando você veio aqui?”.
and, finding him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him—Rabbi! when, camest thou, hither?
26 Jesus lhes respondeu: “Certamente eu lhes digo, vocês me procuram, não porque viram sinais, mas porque comeram dos pães e se encheram.
Jesus answered them, and said—Verily, verily, I say unto you: Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye did eat of the loaves and were filled.
27 Não trabalheis pela comida que perece, mas pela comida que resta à vida eterna, que o Filho do Homem vos dará”. Porque Deus, o Pai, o selou”. (aiōnios g166)
Be working, not for the food that perisheth, but for the food that endureth unto life age-abiding, —which, the Son of Man, unto you, will give; for upon, the same, hath the Father, even God, set his seal. (aiōnios g166)
28 Disseram-lhe portanto: “O que devemos fazer, para que possamos trabalhar as obras de Deus”?
They said, therefore, unto him—What are we to do, that we may be working the works of God?
29 Jesus lhes respondeu: “Esta é a obra de Deus, que vós credes naquele que Ele enviou”.
Jesus answered, and said unto them—This, is the work of God: that ye believe on him whom, he, hath sent forth.
30 Disseram-lhe então: “O que você faz então por um sinal, para que possamos ver e acreditar em você? Que trabalho você faz?
They said, therefore, unto him—What, then, art, thou, doing, by way of sign, that we may see, and believe in thee: what art thou working?
31 Nossos pais comeram o maná no deserto. Como está escrito: “Ele lhes deu pão do céu para comer”.
Our fathers, did eat, the manna, in the desert, —just as it is written: Bread out of heaven, he gave them to eat.
32 Jesus, portanto, lhes disse: “Certamente, eu lhes digo, não foi Moisés quem lhes deu o pão do céu, mas meu Pai lhes dá o verdadeiro pão do céu”.
Jesus said unto them—Verily, verily, I say unto you: Not Moses, gave you the bread out of heaven; but, my Father, giveth you the real bread out of heaven.
33 Pois o pão de Deus é o que desce do céu e dá vida ao mundo”.
For, the bread of God, is that which is coming down out of heaven, and giving, life, unto the world.
34 Disseram-lhe portanto: “Senhor, dá-nos sempre este pão”.
They said, therefore, unto him—Sir! Evermore, give us this bread.
35 Jesus disse a eles: “Eu sou o pão da vida”. Quem vem a mim não terá fome, e quem acredita em mim nunca terá sede”.
Jesus said unto them—I, am the bread of life: he that cometh unto me, in nowise shall hunger, and, he that believeth on me, in nowise shall thirst, any more.
36 Mas eu lhes disse que vocês me viram, e ainda assim não acreditam.
But I told you—Ye have even seen [me], and yet do not believe.
37 Todos aqueles que o Pai me dá virão até mim. Aquele que vem a mim, eu não vou de forma alguma expulsar.
All that which the Father is giving me, unto me, will have come, and, him that cometh unto me, in nowise will I cast out, —
38 Pois eu desci do céu, não para fazer minha própria vontade, mas a vontade d'Aquele que me enviou.
Because I have come down from heaven, —Not that I should be doing my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 Esta é a vontade de meu Pai que me enviou, que de tudo o que ele me deu eu não perca nada, mas que o ressuscite no último dia.
And, this, is the will of him that sent me, That, of all that which he hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.
40 Esta é a vontade daquele que me enviou, que todo aquele que vê o Filho e acredita nele tenha a vida eterna; e eu o ressuscitarei no último dia”. (aiōnios g166)
For, this, is the will of my Father, That, every one that vieweth the Son, and believeth on him, should have life age-abiding, and, I, should raise him up, at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
41 Os judeus, portanto, murmuraram a seu respeito, porque ele disse: “Eu sou o pão que desceu do céu”.
The Jews, therefore, began to murmur concerning him, because he said—I, am the bread that came down out of heaven;
42 Eles disseram: “Não é este Jesus, o filho de José, cujo pai e mãe nós conhecemos? Como então ele diz: “Eu desci do céu”?”
and were saying—Is not, this, Jesus, the son of Joseph, —of whom, we, know the father and the mother! How is it then, that he, now, saith: Out of heaven, have I come down?
43 Therefore Jesus lhes respondeu: “Não murmurem entre vocês.
Jesus answered, and said unto them—Be not murmuring, one with another:
44 Ninguém pode vir a mim a menos que o Pai que me enviou o atraia; e eu o levantarei no último dia”.
No one, can come unto me, except, the Father who sent me, draw him, —and, I, will raise him up, in the last day.
45 Está escrito nos profetas: “Todos eles serão ensinados por Deus”. Portanto, todo aquele que ouve do Pai e aprendeu, vem a mim.
It is written in the prophets, —And they shall be, all, the instructed of God: Every one who hath heard of the Father, and learned, cometh unto me.
46 Não que alguém tenha visto o Pai, exceto aquele que é de Deus. Ele tem visto o Pai.
Not that any one hath seen, the Father, save he who is from God, —this one, hath seen the Father.
Verily, verily, I say unto you: He that believeth, hath life age-abiding. (aiōnios g166)
48 Eu sou o pão da vida.
I am the bread of life: —
49 Seus pais comeram o maná no deserto e morreram.
Your fathers, did eat, in the desert, the manna, —and died:
50 Este é o pão que desce do céu, para que qualquer um possa comer dele e não morrer.
This, is the bread which, out of heaven, cometh down, that one, thereof, may eat, —and not die.
51 Eu sou o pão vivo que desceu do céu. Se alguém comer deste pão, ele viverá para sempre. Sim, o pão que eu darei pela vida do mundo é a minha carne”. (aiōn g165)
I, am the living bread, which, out of heaven, came down: If one eat of this bread, he shall live unto times age-abiding; and, the bread, moreover, which, I, will give, is, my flesh—for the world’s life. (aiōn g165)
52 Os judeus, portanto, se defrontaram, dizendo: “Como este homem pode nos dar sua carne para comer”?
The Jews, therefore, began to strive one with another, saying—How can this one, unto us, give his flesh to eat?
53 Jesus, portanto, lhes disse: “Certamente vos digo que, se não comerdes a carne do Filho do Homem e não beberdes seu sangue, não tereis vida em vós mesmos”.
Jesus, therefore, said unto them—Verily, verily, I say unto you—Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood, ye have not life within yourselves.
54 Aquele que come minha carne e bebe meu sangue tem a vida eterna, e eu o ressuscitarei no último dia. (aiōnios g166)
He that feedeth upon my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath life age-abiding, and, I, will raise him up at the last day; (aiōnios g166)
55 Pois minha carne é comida de fato, e meu sangue é bebida de fato.
For, my flesh, is, true, food, and, my blood, is, true, drink:
56 Aquele que come minha carne e bebe meu sangue vive em mim, e eu nele.
He that feedeth upon my flesh, and drinketh my blood, in me, abideth, and, I, in him.
57 Como o Pai vivo me enviou, e eu vivo por causa do Pai, assim aquele que se alimenta de mim também viverá por causa de mim.
Just as the living Father sent me, —and I live by reason of the Father, he also that feedeth upon me, even he, shall live by reason of me.
58 Este é o pão que desceu do céu - não como nossos pais comeram o maná e morreram. Aquele que comer este pão viverá para sempre”. (aiōn g165)
This, is the bread, which, out of heaven, came down: —Not just as your fathers did eat—and died! He that feedeth upon this bread, shall live unto times age-abiding. (aiōn g165)
59 Ele disse estas coisas na sinagoga, como ele ensinou em Cafarnaum.
These things, said he, as, in a synagogue, he was teaching, in Capernaum.
60 Portanto, muitos de seus discípulos, quando ouviram isto, disseram: “Este é um ditado difícil! Quem pode ouvi-lo?”
Many, of his disciples, therefore, when they heard, said—Hard, is this discourse, —Who can, thereunto, hearken?
61 Mas Jesus, sabendo em si mesmo que seus discípulos murmuravam com isso, disse-lhes: “Será que isso vos faz tropeçar?
But Jesus, knowing within himself that his disciples were murmuring concerning this, said unto them—Doth, this, cause, you, to stumble?
62 Então e se vocês vissem o Filho do Homem ascendendo para onde ele estava antes?
[What] then, if ye should view the Son of Man ascending where he was before? …
63 É o espírito que dá vida. A carne não lucra nada. As palavras que vos digo são espírito, e são vida.
The spirit, it is, that giveth life, —the flesh, profiteth, nothing: The declarations which, I, have spoken unto you, are, spirit, and, are, life.
64 Mas há alguns de vocês que não acreditam”. Pois Jesus sabia desde o início quem eram aqueles que não acreditavam, e quem era quem o trairia.
But there are some from among you, who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning, who they were that did not believe, and who it was would deliver him up; —
65 Ele disse: “Por isso vos disse que ninguém pode vir a mim, a menos que seja dado a ele por meu Pai”.
and he went on to say—For this cause, have I said unto you: No one, can come unto me, except it have been given him, of the Father.
66 Nisso, muitos de seus discípulos voltaram e não andaram mais com ele.
Because of this, many from among his disciples, went away back, and, no longer, with him, were walking.
67 Jesus disse, portanto, aos doze: “Você não quer ir embora também, quer?”.
Jesus, therefore, said unto the twelve—Are, ye also, wishing to withdraw?
68 Simon Peter respondeu-lhe: “Senhor, a quem iríamos nós? Você tem as palavras da vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
Simon Peter answered him—Lord! unto whom, shall we go? Declarations of life age-abiding, thou hast; (aiōnios g166)
69 Nós viemos a acreditar e a saber que você é o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo”.
And, we, have believed, and come to know, —that, thou, art the Holy One of God.
70 Jesus lhes respondeu: “Eu não escolhi vocês, os doze, e um de vocês é um demônio?”
Jesus answered them—Did not, I, make choice, of you, the twelve? And yet, from among you, one, is, an adversary.
71 Agora ele falava de Judas, o filho de Simão Iscariotes, pois era ele quem o trairia, sendo um dos doze.
Now he was speaking of Judas, son of Simon Iscariot: for, the same, was about to deliver him up, —one of the twelve.
