1 Agora, no primeiro dia da semana, Maria Madalena foi cedo, enquanto ainda estava escuro, ao túmulo, e viu que a pedra tinha sido retirada do túmulo.
On the first day of the week, very early, while it was still dark, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from it.
2 Por isso ela correu e veio até Simão Pedro e ao outro discípulo a quem Jesus amava, e disse-lhes: “Eles tiraram o Senhor do túmulo, e nós não sabemos onde o colocaram”!
So she ran, as fast as she could, to find Simon Peter and the other disciple--the one who was dear to Jesus--and to tell them, "They have taken the Master out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have put Him."
3 Por isso Pedro e o outro discípulo saíram, e foram em direção ao túmulo.
Peter and the other disciple started at once to go to the tomb, both of them running,
4 Ambos correram juntos. O outro discípulo ultrapassou Pedro e veio primeiro ao túmulo.
but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and reached it before he did.
5 Parando e olhando para dentro, ele viu os panos de linho ali deitados; no entanto, ele não entrou.
Stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths lying there on the ground, but he did not go in.
6 Depois veio Simão Pedro, seguindo-o, e entrou no túmulo. Ele viu os panos de linho deitados,
Simon Peter, however, also came, following him, and entered the tomb. There on the ground he saw the cloths;
7 e o pano que estava em sua cabeça, não deitado com os panos de linho, mas enrolado num lugar por si só.
and the towel, which had been placed over the face of Jesus, not lying with the cloths, but folded up and put by itself.
8 Então o outro discípulo que chegou primeiro ao túmulo também entrou, e viu e acreditou.
Then the other disciple, who had been the first to come to the tomb, also went in and saw and was convinced.
9 Pois ainda não conheciam a Escritura, que ele deve ressuscitar dos mortos.
For until now they had not understood the inspired teaching, that He must rise again from among the dead.
10 Então os discípulos partiram novamente para suas próprias casas.
Then they went away and returned home.
11 Mas Maria estava lá fora, no túmulo, chorando. Então, enquanto chorava, ela se abaixou e olhou para dentro do túmulo,
Meanwhile Mary remained standing near the tomb, weeping aloud. She did not enter the tomb, but as she wept she stooped and looked in,
12 e viu dois anjos de branco sentados, um na cabeça e outro nos pés, onde o corpo de Jesus havia se deitado.
and saw two angels clothed in white raiment, sitting one at the head and one at the feet where the body of Jesus had been.
13 Eles lhe perguntaram: “Mulher, por que você está chorando?”. Ela lhes disse: “Porque eles levaram meu Senhor e não sei onde o colocaram”.
They spoke to her. "Why are you weeping?" they asked. "Because," she replied, "they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have put him."
14 Quando ela disse isto, ela se virou e viu Jesus de pé, e não sabia que era Jesus.
While she was speaking, she turned round and saw Jesus standing there, but did not recognize Him.
15 Jesus disse a ela: “Mulher, por que você está chorando? De quem você está à procura?” Ela, supondo que ele fosse o jardineiro, disse-lhe: “Senhor, se você o levou, diga-me onde o colocou, e eu o levarei embora”.
"Why are you weeping?" He asked; "who are you looking for?" She, supposing that He was the gardener, replied, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him and I will remove him."
16 Jesus disse a ela: “Maria”. Ela se virou e lhe disse: “Rabboni!” que é dizer: “Professor!”
"Mary!" said Jesus. She turned to Him. "Rabboni!" she cried in Hebrew: the word means 'Teacher!'
17 Jesus lhe disse: “Não me abrace, pois ainda não ascendi a meu Pai; mas vá até meus irmãos e diga a eles: 'Estou ascendendo a meu Pai e vosso Pai, a meu Deus e vosso Deus'”.
"Do not cling to me," said Jesus, "for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But take this message to my brethren: 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"
18 Maria Madalena veio e disse aos discípulos que ela havia visto o Senhor e que ele lhe havia dito estas coisas.
Mary of Magdala came and brought word to the disciples. "I have seen the Master," she said. And she told them that He had said these things to her.
19 Quando, portanto, era noite naquele dia, o primeiro dia da semana, e quando as portas estavam trancadas onde os discípulos estavam reunidos, por medo dos judeus, Jesus veio e ficou no meio e disse a eles: “A paz seja convosco”.
On that same first day of the week, when it was evening and, for fear of the Jews, the doors of the house where the disciples were, were locked, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and said to them, "Peace be to you!"
20 Quando ele disse isto, mostrou-lhes suas mãos e seu lado. Os discípulos, portanto, ficaram contentes quando viram o Senhor.
Having said this He showed them His hands and also His side; and the disciples were filled with joy at seeing the Master.
21 Jesus, portanto, disse-lhes novamente: “A paz seja convosco”. Como o Pai me enviou, assim também eu vos envio a vós”.
A second time, therefore, He said to them, "Peace be to you! As the Father sent me, I also now send you."
22 Quando ele disse isto, soprou sobre eles, e disse-lhes: “Recebei o Espírito Santo!
Having said this He breathed upon them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit.
23 Se vocês perdoarem os pecados de alguém, eles lhes serão perdoados. Se você retiver os pecados de alguém, eles foram retidos”.
If you remit the sins of any persons, they remain remitted to them. If you bind fast the sins of any, they remain bound."
24 Mas Tomé, um dos doze, chamado Didymus, não estava com eles quando Jesus veio.
Thomas, one of the twelve--surnamed 'the Twin' --was not among them when Jesus came.
25 Os outros discípulos, portanto, lhe disseram: “Vimos o Senhor”! Mas ele lhes disse: “A menos que eu veja em suas mãos a impressão dos pregos, coloque meu dedo na impressão dos pregos e coloque minha mão em seu lado, eu não acreditarei”.
So the rest of the disciples told him, "We have seen the Master!" His reply was, "Unless I see in his hands the wound made by the nails and put my finger into the wound, and put my hand into his side, I will never believe it."
26 Após oito dias, novamente seus discípulos estavam lá dentro e Tomé estava com eles. Jesus veio, com as portas trancadas, e ficou no meio, e disse: “A paz seja convosco”.
A week later the disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them, when Jesus came--though the doors were locked--and stood in their midst, and said, "Peace be to you."
27 Então ele disse a Tomé: “Alcança aqui teu dedo e vê minhas mãos”. Chegue aqui sua mão, e coloque-a de lado. Não seja incrédulo, mas acredite”.
Then He said to Thomas, "Bring your finger here and feel my hands; bring you hand and put it into my side; and do not be ready to disbelieve but to believe."
28 Thomas respondeu-lhe: “Meu Senhor e meu Deus”!
"My Lord and my God!" replied Thomas.
29 Jesus lhe disse: “Porque me viram, acreditaram”. Abençoados sejam aqueles que não viram e acreditaram”.
"Because you have seen me," replied Jesus, "you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
30 Portanto, Jesus fez muitos outros sinais na presença de seus discípulos, que não estão escritos neste livro;
There were also a great number of other signs which Jesus performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not recorded in this book.
31 mas estes estão escritos para que você possa acreditar que Jesus é o Cristo, o Filho de Deus, e para que acredite que você possa ter vida em seu nome.
But these have been recorded in order that you may believe that He is the Christ, the Son of God, and that, through believing, you may have Life through His name.
