João 2
1 No terceiro dia, houve um casamento em Caná da Galileia. A mãe de Jesus estava lá.
And on the third day after, there was a marriage at Cana of Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 Jesus também foi convidado, com seus discípulos, para o casamento.
And Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding.
3 Quando o vinho acabou, a mãe de Jesus lhe disse: “Eles não têm vinho”.
And the wine falling short, the mother of Jesus saith unto Him, They have no wine.
4 Jesus disse a ela: “Mulher, o que isso tem a ver com você e comigo? Minha hora ainda não chegou”.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? my time is not yet come.
5 Sua mãe disse aos criados: “O que quer que ele diga a vocês, façam-no”.
His mother saith to the servants, Whatsoever he ordereth you to do, do it.
6 Agora havia seis potes de água de pedra colocados ali após o modo de purificação dos judeus, contendo dois ou três metros cada um.
And there were six stone waterpots, placed according to the custom of purifying among the Jews, containing each about two or three firkins.
7 Jesus disse-lhes: “Encham os potes de água com água”. Então eles os encheram até a borda.
Jesus saith unto them, Fill the water-pots with water: and they filled them up to the brim.
8 Ele disse a eles: “Agora, tira alguns para fora e leva-os ao soberano da festa”. Então, eles a levaram.
And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and carry it to the master of the feast. And they carried it to him.
9 Quando a régua da festa provou a água agora se tornou vinho, e não sabia de onde vinha (mas os servos que haviam tirado a água sabiam), a régua da festa chamou o noivo
And when the manager of the feast had tasted the water which was made wine, and knew not whence it was, (but the servants, that drew the water, knew, ) he called the bride-groom,
10 e lhe disse: “Todos servem o bom vinho primeiro, e quando os convidados bebem livremente, então o que é pior. Vocês guardaram o bom vinho até agora”!
and saith unto him, Every man sets out good wine at first, and when they have drank plentifully, then that which is worse; but thou hast keep the good wine till now.
11 Este início de seus sinais que Jesus fez em Caná da Galiléia, e revelou sua glória; e seus discípulos acreditaram nele.
This beginning of his miracles Jesus wrought at Cana of Galilee, and made manifest his glory: and his disciples believed on Him.
12 Depois disso, ele foi para Cafarnaum, ele, sua mãe, seus irmãos e seus discípulos; e lá permaneceram alguns dias.
After this He went down to Capernaum, He and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: but they staid there not many days.
13 A Páscoa dos judeus estava próxima, e Jesus subiu a Jerusalém.
For the passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And He found in the temple those that sold oxen,
14 Ele encontrou no templo aqueles que vendiam bois, ovelhas e pombas, e os cambistas de dinheiro sentados.
and sheep, and doves, and the money changers sitting:
15 Ele fez um chicote de cordas e expulsou todos do templo, tanto as ovelhas como os bois; e derramou o dinheiro dos cambistas e derrubou suas mesas.
and having made a whip of small cords He drove them all, out of the temple; with the sheep and the oxen: and He poured out the changers money, and threw down the tables.
16 Para aqueles que venderam as pombas, ele disse: “Tirem estas coisas daqui! Não faça da casa de meu Pai um mercado”!
And said to them that sold doves, Take away these things from hence, and make not my Father's house an house of traffick.
17 Seus discípulos lembraram que estava escrito: “O zelo por sua casa vai me devorar”.
And his disciples remembered that it is written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
18 Os judeus responderam-lhe: “Que sinal você nos mostra, vendo que você faz essas coisas”?
The Jews therefore answered and said unto Him, What sign dost thou shew us, seeing thou dost these things?
19 Jesus lhes respondeu: “Destruam este templo, e em três dias eu o levantarei”.
Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again: then said the Jews,
20 Portanto, os judeus disseram: “Foram necessários quarenta e seis anos para construir este templo! Você vai erguê-lo em três dias”?
Forty and six years has this temple been in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days? but He spake of the temple of his body.
21 Mas ele falou sobre o templo de seu corpo.
Therefore when he was risen from the dead,
22 Quando, portanto, ele ressuscitou dos mortos, seus discípulos se lembraram que ele disse isto, e acreditaram na Escritura e na palavra que Jesus havia dito.
his disciples remembered, that He had said this to them: and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
23 Agora, quando ele estava em Jerusalém na Páscoa, durante a festa, muitos acreditavam em seu nome, observando seus sinais, o que ele fazia.
And when he was in Jerusalem at the passover on the feast-day, many believed in his name, seeing his miracles, which He wrought.
24 Mas Jesus não se confiou a eles, porque conhecia a todos,
But Jesus did not trust Himself to them;
25 e porque não precisava que ninguém testemunhasse a respeito do homem; pois ele mesmo sabia o que havia no homem.
for He knew all men, and He had no need that any should testify concerning man; for He knew what was in man.
