Jó 42
1 Então Job respondeu Yahweh:
Then answered Job unto the Lord, and said,
2 “Eu sei que você pode fazer todas as coisas, e que nenhum propósito seu pode ser contido.
I acknowledge that thou art able to do every thing, and that no deep plan of thine can be restrained.
3 Você perguntou: 'Quem é este que esconde conselhos sem conhecimento?'. Portanto, eu pronunciei aquilo que não entendia, coisas maravilhosas demais para mim, o que eu não sabia.
Who is he that dareth to conceal [thy] counsel without knowledge? Truly I have spoken of what I understood not, of things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
4 Você disse: 'Escute, agora, e eu falarei'; Eu te questionarei, e você me responderá”.
Oh do but hear [me], and I will indeed speak: I will ask of thee, and do thou inform me.
5 Eu tinha ouvido falar de você pela audição do ouvido, mas agora meu olho te vê.
I had only heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; but now my eye hath seen thee.
6 Portanto, eu me abomino, e arrepender-se na poeira e nas cinzas”.
Therefore I reject [what I have said], and repent; because I am dust and ashes.
7 Foi assim, que depois que Javé disse estas palavras a Jó, Javé disse a Elifaz, o Temanita: “Minha ira se acendeu contra você e contra seus dois amigos; pois você não falou de mim o que é certo, como meu servo Jó falou.
And it came to pass, after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Themanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; because ye have not spoken of me properly, like my servant Job.
8 Agora, portanto, tomai para vós sete touros e sete carneiros, e ide a meu servo Jó, e oferecei por vós mesmos um holocausto; e meu servo Jó rezará por vós, pois eu o aceitarei, para que eu não trate convosco de acordo com vossa loucura. Pois vós não falastes de mim o que é certo, como o meu servo Jó”.
And now take unto yourselves seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up a burnt-offering in your behalf; and my servant Job shall pray for you; for him alone will I receive favorably, so as not to deal with you after your folly; because ye have not spoken of me properly, like my servant Job.
9 Então Elifaz o Temanita e Bildad o Shuhite e Zophar o Naamathite foram e fizeram o que Yahweh lhes ordenou, e Yahweh aceitou Jó.
Then went Eliphaz the Themanite and Bildad the Shuchite and Zophar the Na'amathite, and did in accordance with what the Lord had spoken to them: and the Lord received Job in favor.
10 Yahweh restaurou a prosperidade de Jó quando ele rezou por seus amigos. Yahweh deu a Jó o dobro do que tinha antes.
And the Lord brought back the captivity of Job, when he prayed in behalf of his friends; and the Lord increased all that Job had had twofold.
11 Então todos os seus irmãos, todas as suas irmãs, e todos aqueles que já tinham sido seus conhecidos, vieram até ele e comeram pão com ele em sua casa. Eles o confortaram e o consolaram com todo o mal que Yahweh havia trazido sobre ele. Todos também lhe deram um pedaço de dinheiro, e a todos um anel de ouro.
And then came unto him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all that had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house; and they condoled with him, and comforted him for all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him; and they gave him, every one, a kessitah, and every one an earring of gold.
12 Então Yahweh abençoou o último fim de Jó mais do que seu início. Ele tinha quatorze mil ovelhas, seis mil camelos, mil juizes de bois e mil burros fêmeas.
And the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: and he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
13 Ele também teve sete filhos e três filhas.
He had also seven sons and three daughters.
14 Ele chamou o nome do primeiro, Jemimah; e o nome do segundo, Keziah; e o nome do terceiro, Keren Happuch.
And he called the name of the first Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
15 Em toda a terra não havia mulheres tão belas como as filhas de Jó. Seu pai lhes deu uma herança entre seus irmãos.
And there were not found such handsome women as the daughters of Job in all the land; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.
16 Depois deste Jó viveu cem quarenta anos, e viu seus filhos, e os filhos de seus filhos, a quatro gerações.
And Job lived after this one hundred and forty years: and he saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
17 Então Jó morreu, sendo velho e cheio de dias.
Then died Job, being old and full of days.
