Jó 36
1 Elihu também continuou, e disse,
And Elihu continued:
2 “Tenha um pouco de paciência comigo, e eu lhe mostrarei; pois eu ainda tenho algo a dizer em nome de Deus.
“Bear with me a little longer, and I will show you that there is more to be said on God’s behalf.
3 Vou obter meus conhecimentos de longe, e atribuirá retidão ao meu Criador.
I get my knowledge from afar, and I will ascribe justice to my Maker.
4 Pois realmente minhas palavras não são falsas. Quem é perfeito em conhecimento está com você.
For truly my words are free of falsehood; one perfect in knowledge is with you.
5 “Eis que Deus é poderoso, e não despreza ninguém. Ele é poderoso em sua força de compreensão.
Indeed, God is mighty, but He despises no one; He is mighty in strength of understanding.
6 Ele não preserva a vida dos ímpios, mas dá justiça aos aflitos.
He does not keep the wicked alive, but He grants justice to the afflicted.
7 Ele não retira seus olhos dos justos, mas com reis no trono, ele as coloca para sempre, e elas são exaltadas.
He does not take His eyes off the righteous, but He enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever.
8 Se eles estiverem presos em grilhões, e são tomadas nas cordas das aflições,
And if men are bound with chains, caught in cords of affliction,
9 então ele lhes mostra o trabalho deles, e suas transgressões, que se comportaram de forma orgulhosa.
then He tells them their deeds and how arrogantly they have transgressed.
10 Ele também abre seus ouvidos à instrução, e ordena que retornem da iniqüidade.
He opens their ears to correction and commands that they turn from iniquity.
11 Se eles o escutarem e o servirem, eles passarão seus dias em prosperidade, e seus anos em prazeres.
If they obey and serve Him, then they end their days in prosperity and their years in happiness.
12 Mas se eles não ouvirem, perecerão pela espada; eles morrerão sem conhecimento.
But if they do not obey, then they perish by the sword and die without knowledge.
13 “Mas aqueles que não têm coração em Deus depositam raiva. Eles não choram por ajuda quando ele os amarra.
The godless in heart harbor resentment; even when He binds them, they do not cry for help.
14 Eles morrem na juventude. Sua vida perece entre os impuros.
They die in their youth, among the male shrine prostitutes.
15 He entrega os aflitos por sua aflição, e abre seus ouvidos na opressão.
God rescues the afflicted by their affliction and opens their ears in oppression.
16 Sim, ele o teria atraído para fora de perigo, em um lugar amplo, onde não há restrições. O que é colocado em sua mesa estaria cheio de gordura.
Indeed, He drew you from the jaws of distress to a spacious and broad place, to a table full of richness.
17 “Mas você está cheio do julgamento dos malvados. O julgamento e a justiça se apoderam de você.
But now you are laden with the judgment due the wicked; judgment and justice have seized you.
18 Não deixe que as riquezas o seduzam à ira, nem deixar que o grande tamanho de um suborno o deixe de lado.
Be careful that no one lures you with riches; do not let a large bribe lead you astray.
19 Será que sua riqueza o sustentaria em perigo? ou todo o poder de sua força?
Can your wealth or all your mighty effort keep you from distress?
20 Não deseje a noite, quando as pessoas estão isoladas em seu lugar.
Do not long for the night, when people vanish from their homes.
21 Preste atenção, não considere a iniqüidade; pois você escolheu isto em vez da aflição.
Be careful not to turn to iniquity, for this you have preferred to affliction.
22 Eis que Deus está exaltado em seu poder. Quem é um professor como ele?
Behold, God is exalted in His power. Who is a teacher like Him?
23 Quem prescreveu seu caminho para ele? Ou quem pode dizer: “Você cometeu injustiça?
Who has appointed His way for Him, or told Him, ‘You have done wrong’?
24 “Lembre-se que você amplia seu trabalho, sobre o qual os homens cantaram.
Remember to magnify His work, which men have praised in song.
25 Todos os homens já olharam para ele. O homem vê isso de longe.
All mankind has seen it; men behold it from afar.
26 Eis que Deus é grande, e nós não o conhecemos. O número de seus anos é insondável.
Indeed, God is great—beyond our knowledge; the number of His years is unsearchable.
27 Pois ele prepara as gotas de água, que destilam na chuva a partir de seu vapor,
For He draws up drops of water which distill the rain from the mist,
28 que o céu derrama e que caem sobre o homem em abundância.
which the clouds pour out and shower abundantly on mankind.
29 De fato, qualquer um pode entender a propagação das nuvens e os trovões de seu pavilhão?
Furthermore, who can understand how the clouds spread out, how the thunder roars from His pavilion?
30 Eis que ele espalha sua luz ao seu redor. Ele cobre o fundo do mar.
See how He scatters His lightning around Him and covers the depths of the sea.
31 Pois por estes ele julga o povo. Ele dá comida em abundância.
For by these He judges the nations and provides food in abundance.
32 Ele cobre suas mãos com o relâmpago, e a ordena a atingir a marca.
He fills His hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark.
33 Seu ruído conta sobre ele, e o gado também, em relação à tempestade que vem à tona.
The thunder declares His presence; even the cattle regard the rising storm.
