1 “Minha alma está cansada da minha vida. Darei livre curso à minha reclamação. Falarei com a amargura da minha alma.
My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
2 Direi a Deus: 'Não me condenem'. Mostre-me por que você contende comigo.
I will say to God, Do not condemn me; show me why thou contendest with me.
3 É bom para você que oprima, que você deve desprezar o trabalho de suas mãos, e sorrir para o conselho dos ímpios?
[Is it] good to thee that thou shouldst oppress, that thou shouldst despise the work of thy hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?
4 Você tem olhos de carne? Ou você vê como o homem vê?
Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?
5 São seus dias como os dias dos mortais, ou seus anos como os anos do homem,
[Are] thy days as the days of man? [are] thy years as man's days,
6 que você inquirir após minha iniqüidade, e procurar por meu pecado?
That thou inquirest after my iniquity, and searchest after my sin?
7 Embora você saiba que eu não sou malvado, não há ninguém que possa entregar de sua mão.
Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and [there is] none that can deliver out of thy hand.
8 “'Suas mãos me incriminaram e me moldaram completamente, no entanto, vocês me destroem.
Thy hands have made me and fashioned me in all my parts; yet thou dost destroy me.
9 Lembre-se, eu lhe imploro, que você me moldou como barro. Você me trará de novo ao pó?
Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?
10 Você não me derramou como leite, e me coagulou como queijo?
Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese?
11 Você me vestiu de pele e carne, e me unir com ossos e tendões.
Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.
12 Você me concedeu vida e bondade amorosa. Sua visitação preservou meu espírito.
Thou hast granted me life and favor, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
13 No entanto, você escondeu estas coisas em seu coração. Eu sei que isto é com você:
And these [things] hast thou hid in thy heart: I know that this [is] with thee.
14 se eu pecar, então você me marca. Você não me absolverá de minha iniqüidade.
If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from my iniquity.
15 Se eu sou perverso, ai de mim. Se eu for justo, eu ainda não levantarei minha cabeça, estar cheio de vergonha, e consciente de minha aflição.
If I be wicked, woe to me; and [if] I be righteous, [yet] will I not lift up my head. [I am] full of confusion; therefore see thou my affliction;
16 Se minha cabeça está erguida, você me caça como um leão. Mais uma vez você se mostra poderoso para mim.
For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion: and again thou showest thyself wonderful upon me.
17 Você renova suas testemunhas contra mim, e aumente sua indignação comigo. As mudanças e a guerra estão comigo.
Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest thy indignation upon me; changes and war [are] against me.
18 “'Por que, então, você me trouxe para fora do útero? Gostaria de ter desistido do espírito, e nenhum olho me tinha visto.
Why then hast thou brought me forth from the womb? O that I had expired, and no eye had seen me!
19 Eu deveria ter sido como se não tivesse sido. Eu deveria ter sido levado do útero para o túmulo.
I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.
20 Aren meus dias não são poucos? Pare! Deixe-me em paz, para que eu possa encontrar um pouco de conforto,
[Are] not my days few? cease [then], [and] let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,
21 antes de ir para onde eu não voltarei, para a terra das trevas e da sombra da morte;
Before I go [whence] I shall not return, [even] to the land of darkness, and the shades of death;
22 a terra escura como a meia-noite, da sombra da morte, sem nenhuma ordem, onde a luz é como a meia-noite'”.
A land of darkness, as darkness [itself]; [and] of the shades of death, without any order, and [where] the light [is] as darkness.
