Jeremias 51
1 diz Yahweh: “Eis que eu me levantarei contra a Babilônia”, e contra aqueles que habitam em Lebkamai, um vento destruidor.
Thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I wil raise vp against Babel, and against the inhabitants that lift vp their heart against me, a destroying wind,
2 Enviarei a estranhos da Babilônia, que a conhecerão. Eles vão esvaziar suas terras; pois no dia dos problemas, eles estarão contra ela em todos os lugares.
And wil send vnto Babel fanners that shall fanne her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shalbe against her on euery side.
3 Contra aquele que se dobra, deixe o arqueiro dobrar seu arco, também contra aquele que se ergue em seu casaco de correio. Não poupe os seus jovens! Destruir totalmente todo o seu exército!
Also to the bender that bendeth his bowe, and to him that lifteth himselfe vp in his brigandine, will I say, Spare not her yong men, but destroy all her hoste.
4 Eles cairão mortos na terra dos caldeus, e empurrar através de suas ruas.
Thus the slaine shall fall in the lande of the Caldeans, and they that are thrust through in her streetes.
5 Pois Israel não é abandonado, nem Judá, por seu Deus, por Yahweh dos Exércitos; embora suas terras estejam cheias de culpas contra o Santo de Israel.
For Israel hath bene no widowe, nor Iudah from his God, from the Lord of hostes, though their lande was filled with sinne against the holy one of Israel.
6 “Fuja do meio da Babilônia! Cada um salva sua própria vida! Não seja cortado em sua iniqüidade, pois é a época da vingança de Yahweh. Ele lhe dará uma recompensa.
Flee out of the middes of Babel, and deliuer euery man his soule: be not destroyed in her iniquitie: for this is the time of the Lordes vengeance he will render vnto her a recompence.
7 A Babilônia tem sido um copo de ouro na mão de Iavé, que embebedou toda a terra. As nações beberam de seu vinho; portanto, as nações enlouqueceram.
Babel hath bene as a golden cuppe in the Lordes hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations haue drunken of her wine, therefore do the nations rage.
8 A Babilônia caiu e foi destruída de repente! Lamento por ela! Tome bálsamo para a dor dela. Talvez ela possa ser curada.
Babel is suddenly fallen, and destroyed: howle for her, bring balme for her sore, if she may be healed.
9 “Teríamos curado a Babilônia, mas ela não está curada. Abandone-a, e vamos cada um para seu próprio país; pois seu julgamento chega ao céu, e é erguido até os céus.
We would haue cured Babel, but she could not be healed: forsake her, and let vs go euery one into his owne countrey: for her iudgement is come vp vnto heauen, and is lifted vp to ye cloudes.
10 'Yahweh produziu nossa retidão. Venha, e vamos declarar em Zion o trabalho de Javé nosso Deus”.
The Lord hath brought forth our righteousnesse: come and let vs declare in Zion the worke of the Lord our God.
11 “Faça as setas afiadas! Segurem os escudos firmemente! Yahweh despertou o espírito dos reis dos medos, porque seu propósito é contra a Babilônia, para destruí-la; pois é a vingança de Yahweh, a vingança de seu templo.
Make bright the arrowes: gather the shieldes: the Lord hath raised vp the spirit of the King of the Medes: for his purpose is against Babel to destroy it, because it is the vengeance of the Lord, and the vengeance of his Temple.
12 Estabeleça um padrão contra as paredes da Babilônia! Faça o relógio forte! Colocar os guardas, e preparar as emboscadas; para Yahweh tem feito e feito de propósito o que ele falou a respeito dos habitantes da Babilônia.
Set vp the standart vpon the walles of Babel, make the watch strong: set vp the watchmen: prepare the skoutes: for the Lord hath both deuised, and done that which he spake against the inhabitantes of Babel.
13 Você que mora em muitas águas, abundante em tesouros, seu fim chegou, a medida de sua cobiça.
O thou that dwellest vpon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine ende is come, euen the ende of thy couetousnes.
14 Yahweh dos Exércitos jurou por si mesmo, dizendo, “Certamente eu vou enchê-lo de homens, como com os gafanhotos, e eles levantarão um grito contra você”.
The Lord of hostes hath sworne by him selfe, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers, and they shall cry and shoute against thee.
15 “Ele fez a terra pelo seu poder. Ele estabeleceu o mundo por sua sabedoria. Pelo seu entendimento, ele estendeu os céus.
He hath made the earth by his power, and established the world by his wisedome, and hath stretched out the heauen by his discretion.
16 Quando ele profere sua voz, há um barulho de águas nos céus, e ele faz com que os vapores subam das extremidades da terra. Ele faz relâmpagos para a chuva, e traz o vento para fora de seus tesouros.
Hee giueth by his voyce the multitude of waters in the heauen, and he causeth the cloudes to ascend from the endes of the earth: he turneth lightnings to raine, and bringeth forth the winde out of his treasures.
17 “Todo homem se tornou estúpido e sem conhecimento. Todo ourives está decepcionado com sua imagem, por suas imagens derretidas são falsas, e não há fôlego nelas.
Euery man is a beast by his owne knowledge: euery founder is confounded by the grauen image: for his melting is but falsehood, and there is no breath therein.
18 Eles são vaidade, um trabalho de ilusão. No momento de sua visita, eles perecerão.
They are vanitie, and the worke of errours: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
19 A porção de Jacob não é como estas, pois ele formou todas as coisas, incluindo a tribo de sua herança. Yahweh dos Exércitos é seu nome.
The portion of Iaakob is not like them: for he is the maker of all things, and Israel is the rodde of his inheritance: the Lord of hostes is his Name.
20 “Vocês são meu eixo de batalha e minhas armas de guerra. Com vocês, eu quebrarei as nações em pedaços. Com vocês, destruirei os reinos.
Thou art mine hammer, and weapons of warre: for with thee will I breake the nations, and with thee wil I destroy kingdomes,
21 Com você eu vou quebrar em pedaços o cavalo e seu cavaleiro.
And by thee wil I breake horse and horseman, and by thee will I breake the charet and him that rideth therein.
22 Com você eu vou quebrar em pedaços a carruagem e aquele que nela viaja. Com você eu vou quebrar em pedaços homem e mulher. Com você eu vou quebrar em pedaços o velho e os jovens. Com você eu vou quebrar em pedaços o jovem e a virgem.
By thee also will I breake man and woman, and by thee wil I breake olde and yong, and by thee wil I breake the yong man and the mayde.
23 With você eu vou quebrar em pedaços o pastor e seu rebanho. Com você eu vou quebrar em pedaços o fazendeiro e seu jugo. Com você eu vou quebrar em pedaços governadores e deputados.
I wil also breake by thee the shepheard and his flocke, and by thee will I breake the husband man and his yoke of oxen, and by thee will I breake the dukes and princes.
24 “Eu vou entregar à Babilônia e a todos os habitantes da Caldéia todo o mal que eles fizeram em Sião à sua vista”, diz Yahweh.
And I will render vnto Babel, and to all the inhabitants of the Caldeans all their euil, that they haue done in Zion, euen in your sight, sayth the Lord.
25 “Eis que estou contra ti, destruindo a montanha”, diz Javé, “que destrói toda a terra”. Estenderei minha mão sobre você, rolar você das rochas, e fará de você uma montanha queimada.
Beholde, I come vnto thee, O destroying mountaine, sayth the Lord, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand vpon thee, and rolle thee downe from the rockes, and wil make thee a burnt mountaine.
26 Eles não lhe tirarão uma pedra angular, nem uma pedra para fundações; mas você ficará desolado para sempre”, diz Yahweh.
They shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations, but thou shalt be destroyed for euer, sayth the Lord.
27 “Estabeleça um padrão na terra! Tocar a trombeta entre as nações! Prepare as nações contra ela! Chamem juntos contra ela os reinos de Ararat, Minni, e Ashkenaz! Nomeie um marechal contra ela! Porque os cavalos devem aparecer como os gafanhotos enxameadores!
Set vp a standard in the lande: blowe the trumpets among the nations: prepare the nations against her: call vp the kingdomes of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz against her: appoynt the prince against her: cause horses to come vp as the rough caterpillers.
28 Preparar contra ela as nações, os reis dos medos, seus governadores, e todos os seus deputados, e toda a terra de seu domínio!
Prepare against her the nations with the Kings of the Medes, the dukes thereof, and the princes thereof, and all the land of his dominion.
29 A terra treme e está em sofrimento; para os propósitos de Yahweh contra a banca de Babilônia, para tornar a terra da Babilônia uma desolação, sem habitantes.
And the land shall tremble and sorow: for the deuise of the Lord shalbe performed against Babel, to make the lande of Babel waste without an inhabitant.
30 Os poderosos homens da Babilônia pararam de lutar, eles permanecem em suas fortalezas. O poder deles falhou. Elas se tornaram como mulheres. Seus locais de moradia são incendiados. Suas barras estão quebradas.
The strong men of Babel haue ceased to fight: they haue remayned in their holdes: their strength hath fayled, and they were like women: they haue burnt her dwelling places, and her barres are broken.
31 Um corredor correrá para encontrar outro, e um mensageiro para encontrar outro, para mostrar ao rei da Babilônia que sua cidade é tomada a cada trimestre.
A post shall runne to meete the post, and a messenger to meete the messenger, to shew the King of Babel, that his citie is taken on a side thereof,
32 Assim, as passagens são apreendidas. Eles queimaram os canaviais com fogo. Os homens de guerra estão assustados”.
And that the passages are stopped, and the reedes burnt with fire, and the me of war troubled.
33 Para Iavé dos Exércitos, diz o Deus de Israel: “A filha da Babilônia é como uma eira no momento em que é pisada. Ainda um pouco, e a hora da colheita chega para ela”.
For thus sayth the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, the daughter of Babel is like a threshing floore: the time of her threshing is come: yet a litle while, and the time of her haruest shall come.
34 “Nabucodonosor, o rei da Babilônia, me devorou. Ele me esmagou. Ele me fez um recipiente vazio. Ele, como um monstro, me engoliu. Ele encheu sua boca com minhas iguarias. Ele me expulsou.
Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel hath deuoured me, and destroyed me: he hath made me an emptie vessel: he swallowed mee vp like a dragon, and filled his belly with my delicates, and hath cast me out.
35 May a violência feita a mim e à minha carne seja na Babilônia”! o habitante de Sião dirá; e, “Que meu sangue caia sobre os habitantes da Caldéia!” dirá Jerusalém.
The spoyle of me, and that which was left of me, is brought vnto Babel, shall the inhabitant of Zion say: and my blood vnto the inhabitantes of Caldea, shall Ierusalem say.
36 Portanto, diz Yahweh: “Eis que eu defenderei sua causa, e se vingar por você. Eu vou secar o mar dela, e fazer sua fonte secar.
Therefore thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I will maintayne thy cause, and take vengeance for thee, and I will drie vp the sea, and drie vp her springes.
37 A Babilônia se transformará em montões, uma morada para chacais, um espanto, e um assobio, sem habitante.
And Babel shall be as heapes, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.
38 Eles irão rugir juntos como leões jovens. Eles rosnarão como filhotes de leões.
They shall rore together like lions, and yell as the lyons whelpes.
39 Quando eles estiverem inflamados, farei seu banquete, e eu os deixarei bêbados, que eles possam se regozijar, e dormir um sono perpétuo, e não acordar”, diz Yahweh.
In their heate I will make them feastes, and I wil make them drunken, that they may reioyce, and sleepe a perpetual sleepe, and not wake, sayth the Lord.
40 “Vou derrubá-los como cordeiros para o abate, como carneiros com caprinos machos.
I wil bring them downe like lambes to the slaughter, and like rams and goates.
41 “Como Sheshach é tomado! Como o elogio de toda a terra é apreendido! Como a Babilônia se tornou uma desolação entre as nações!
How is Sheshach taken! and howe is the glory of the whole earth taken! how is Babel become an astonishment among the nations!
42 O mar subiu sobre a Babilônia. Ela está coberta com a multidão de suas ondas.
The sea is come vp vpon Babel: he is couered with the multitude of the waues thereof.
43 Suas cidades se tornaram uma desolação, uma terra seca, e um deserto, uma terra em que nenhum homem habita. Nenhum filho do homem passa por ela.
Her cities are desolate: the land is dry and a wildernes, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth the sonne of man passe thereby.
44 Vou executar o julgamento sobre Bel in Babylon, e tirarei de sua boca aquilo que ele engoliu. As nações não fluirão mais para ele. Sim, a parede da Babilônia vai cair.
I wil also visite Bel in Babel, and I wil bring out of his mouth, that which he hath swallowed vp, and the nations shall runne no more vnto him, and the wall of Babel shall fall.
45 “Meu povo, vá para longe do meio dela, e cada um de vocês se salvem da raiva feroz de Yahweh.
My people, go out of the middes of her, and deliuer yee euery man his soule from the fierce wrath of the Lord,
46 Don não deixe seu coração desmaiar. Não temam pelas notícias que serão ouvidas na terra. Para notícias virá um ano, e depois disso, em mais um ano, virão notícias, e a violência na terra, governante contra governante.
Least your heart euen faynt, and ye feare the rumour, that shalbe heard in the land: the rumour shall come this yeere, and after that in the other yeere shall come a rumour, and crueltie in the land, and ruler against ruler.
47 Portanto, eis que vêm os dias em que executarei o julgamento sobre as imagens gravadas da Babilônia; e toda sua terra será confundida. Todos os seus mortos cairão no meio dela.
Therefore beholde, the dayes come, that I will visite the images of Babel, and the whole land shalbe confounded, and all her slayne shall fall in the middes of her.
48 Depois, os céus e a terra, e tudo o que aí está, cantará de alegria sobre a Babilônia; pois os destruidores virão até ela do norte”, diz Yahweh.
Then the heauen and the earth, and all that is therein, shall reioyce for Babel: for the destroyers shall come vnto her from the North, saith the Lord.
49 “Como a Babilônia causou a queda dos mortos de Israel, Assim, os mortos de toda a terra cairão na Babilônia.
As Babel caused the slaine of Israel to fal, so by Babel the slaine of all the earth did fall.
50 Você que escapou da espada, vá! Não fique parado! Lembre-se de Yahweh de longe, e deixar Jerusalém entrar em sua mente”.
Ye that haue escaped the sworde, goe away, stand not still: remember the Lord a farre of, and let Ierusalem come into your minde.
51 “Estamos confusos porque ouvimos censuras. A confusão cobriu nossos rostos, para estranhos entraram nos santuários da casa de Yahweh”.
Wee are confounded because wee haue heard reproch: shame hath couered our faces, for straungers are come into the Sanctuaries of the Lordes House.
52 “Portanto, eis que vêm os dias”, diz Yahweh, “que executarei o julgamento sobre suas imagens gravadas”; e através de todas as suas terras os feridos gemerão.
Wherefore behold, the dayes come, sayth the Lord, that I will visite her grauen images, and through all her land the wounded shall grone.
53 Embora a Babilônia deva se montar até o céu, e embora ela deva fortificar a altura de sua força, mas os destruidores virão até ela da minha parte”, diz Yahweh.
Though Babel should mount vp to heauen, and though shee should defend her strength on hye, yet from mee shall her destroyers come, sayth the Lord.
54 “O som de um grito vem da Babilônia, e de grande destruição da terra dos caldeus!
A sound of a cry commeth from Babel, and great destruction from the land of the Caldeans,
55 Para Yahweh, o desperdício de Babilônia, e destrói dela a grande voz! Suas ondas bramem como muitas águas. O ruído de sua voz é pronunciado.
Because the Lord hath layde Babel waste and destroyed from her the great voyce, and her waues shall roare like great waters, and a sounde was made by their noyse:
56 Pois o contratorpedeiro veio sobre ela, mesmo na Babilônia. Seus poderosos homens são levados. Seus arcos estão quebrados em pedaços, pois Yahweh é um Deus de retribuição. Ele certamente irá pagar.
Because the destroyer is come vpon her, euen vpon Babel, and her strong men are taken, their bowes are broken: for the Lord God that recompenceth, shall surely recompence.
57 Vou fazer dela príncipes, seus sábios, seus governadores, seus deputados e seus poderosos homens bêbados. Eles dormirão um sono perpétuo, e não acordar”. diz o Rei, cujo nome é Yahweh dos Exércitos.
And I will make drunke her princes, and her wise men, her dukes, and her nobles, and her strong men: and they shall sleepe a perpetuall sleepe, and not wake, sayth the King, whose Name is the Lord of hostes.
58 diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: “As amplas paredes da Babilônia serão totalmente derrubadas”. Seus portões altos serão queimados com fogo. Os povos trabalharão por vaidade, e as nações para o fogo; e eles ficarão cansados”.
Thus saith the Lord of hostes, The thicke wall of Babel shalbe broken, and her hie gates shall be burnt with fire, and the people shall labour in vaine, and the folke in ye fire, for they shalbe weary.
59 A palavra que Jeremias o profeta ordenou a Seraías, filho de Nerias, filho de Maquias, quando ele foi com Zedequias, rei de Judá, à Babilônia, no quarto ano de seu reinado. Agora Seraías era o chefe de quarto mestre.
The worde which Ieremiah the Prophet commanded Sheraiah the sonne of Neriiah, the sonne of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the King of Iudah into Babel, in the fourth yeere of his reigne: and this Sheraiah was a peaceable prince.
60 Jeremias escreveu em um livro todo o mal que deveria vir sobre a Babilônia, mesmo todas estas palavras que estão escritas a respeito da Babilônia.
So Ieremiah wrote in a booke all the euill that should come vpon Babel: euen al these things, that are written against Babel.
61 Jeremias disse a Seraías: “Quando você vier à Babilônia, então veja que leu todas estas palavras,
And Ieremiah sayd to Sheraiah, Whe thou commest vnto Babel, and shalt see, and shalt reade all these wordes,
62 e diga: 'Javé, você falou a respeito deste lugar, para cortá-lo, que ninguém habitará nele, nem homem nem animal, mas que ficará desolado para sempre'.
Then shalt thou say, O Lord, thou hast spoken against this place, to destroy it, that none should remaine in it, neither man nor beast, but that it should be desolate for euer.
63 Será, quando terminar de ler este livro, que você deve amarrar uma pedra a ele, e lançá-lo no meio do Eufrates.
And when thou hast made an ende of reading this booke, thou shalt binde a stone to it, and cast it in the middes of Euphrates,
64 Então dirás: 'Assim a Babilônia se afundará, e não se levantará novamente por causa do mal que eu a trarei; e eles se cansarão'”. Até agora, são as palavras de Jeremias.
And shalt say, Thus shall Babel be drowned, and shall not rise from the euil, that I will bring vpon her: and they shall be weary. Thus farre are the wordes of Ieremiah.
