Jeremias 32

1 Esta é a palavra que veio de Javé a Jeremias no décimo ano de Zedequias, rei de Judá, que foi o décimo oitavo ano de Nabucodonosor.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which [was] the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

2 Agora, naquela época, o exército do rei da Babilônia estava sitiando Jerusalém. Jeremias, o profeta, estava fechado na corte da guarda, que estava na casa do rei de Judá.

For then the king of Babylon’s army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which [was] in the king of Judah’s house.

3 Pois Zedequias, rei de Judá, tinha-o calado, dizendo: “Por que profetizas e dizes: 'Javé diz: “Eis que eu entregarei esta cidade na mão do rei da Babilônia, e ele a tomará”;

For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

4 e Zedequias, rei de Judá, não escapará da mão dos caldeus, mas certamente será entregue na mão do rei da Babilônia, e falará com ele boca a boca, e seus olhos verão seus olhos;

And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

5 e ele trará Zedequias à Babilônia, e ele estará lá até que eu o visite”, diz Javé, “embora lutes com os caldeus, não prosperarás?”’”

And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.

6 Jeremias disse: “A palavra de Javé veio a mim, dizendo:

And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

7 'Eis que Hanamel, filho de Shallum, seu tio, virá a você, dizendo: “Compre meu campo que está em Anathoth; pois o direito de redenção é seu para comprá-lo””.

Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that [is] in Anathoth: for the right of redemption [is] thine to buy [it].

8 “Então Hanamel, filho de meu tio, veio até mim na corte da guarda de acordo com a palavra de Javé, e me disse: “Por favor, compre meu campo que está em Anathoth, que está na terra de Benjamin; pois o direito de herança é seu, e a redenção é sua. Compre-o para si mesmo”. “Então eu sabia que esta era a palavra de Yahweh”.

So Hanameel mine uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that [is] in Anathoth, which [is] in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance [is] thine, and the redemption [is] thine; buy [it] for thyself. Then I knew that this [was] the word of the LORD.

9 Comprei o campo que estava em Anathoth de Hanamel, filho de meu tio, e pesei-lhe o dinheiro, até dezessete siclos de prata.

And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle’s son, that [was] in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, [even] seventeen shekels of silver.

10 I assinou a escritura, selou-a, chamou testemunhas, e pesou o dinheiro na balança para ele.

And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed [it], and took witnesses, and weighed [him] the money in the balances.

11 Então eu peguei a escritura da compra, tanto a que foi selada, contendo os termos e condições, como a que estava aberta;

So I took the evidence of the purchase, [both] that which was sealed [according] to the law and custom, and that which was open:

12 e entreguei a escritura da compra a Baruch o filho de Neriah, o filho de Mahseiah, na presença de Hanamel o filho de meu tio, e na presença das testemunhas que assinaram a escritura da compra, diante de todos os judeus que estavam sentados no tribunal da guarda.

And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle’s [son], and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.

13 “Ordenei a Baruch diante deles, dizendo:

And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

14 Yahweh dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel, diz: 'Pegue estas escrituras, esta escritura de compra que é selada, e esta escritura que é aberta, e coloque-as num vaso de barro, para que durem muitos dias'.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.

15 Para Javé dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel diz: 'Casas e campos e vinhedos serão mais uma vez comprados nesta terra'.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

16 Agora depois de ter entregue a escritura da compra a Baruch, o filho de Neriah, rezei para Yahweh, dizendo,

Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,

17 “Ah Senhor Yahweh! Eis que fizestes os céus e a terra por vosso grande poder e por vosso braço estendido. Não há nada muito difícil para você.

Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, [and] there is nothing too hard for thee:

18 Você demonstra bondade amorosa para com milhares, e retribui a iniquidade dos pais no seio de seus filhos depois deles. O grande, o poderoso Deus, Yahweh dos Exércitos é seu nome:

Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, [is] his name,

19 grande em conselho e poderoso em trabalho; cujos olhos estão abertos a todos os caminhos dos filhos dos homens, para dar a todos segundo seus caminhos e segundo o fruto de seus feitos;

Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes [are] open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

20 que realizou sinais e maravilhas na terra do Egito, até hoje, tanto em Israel como entre outros homens; e fez-se um nome, como é hoje;

Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, [even] unto this day, and in Israel, and among [other] men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;

21 e tirou seu povo Israel da terra do Egito com sinais, com maravilhas, com mão forte, com braço estendido e com grande terror;

And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;

22 e lhes deu esta terra, que você jurou a seus pais dar-lhes, uma terra que fluía com leite e mel.

And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

23 Eles entraram e a possuíram, mas não obedeceram a sua voz e não entraram em sua lei. Eles não fizeram nada de tudo o que você lhes ordenou que fizessem. Portanto, o senhor fez com que todo esse mal lhes acontecesse.

And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:

24 “Eis que foram construídas rampas de cerco contra a cidade para tomá-la. A cidade é entregue na mão dos caldeus que lutam contra ela, por causa da espada, da fome e da pestilência. O que vocês disseram aconteceu. Vejam, vocês o vêem.

Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest [it].

25 O Senhor Javé me disse: “Compre o campo por dinheiro e chame testemunhas;” enquanto a cidade é entregue na mão dos caldeus”. '

And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

26 Então veio a palavra de Javé a Jeremias, dizendo:

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

27 “Eis que eu sou Javé, o Deus de toda a carne”. Há algo muito difícil para mim?

Behold, I [am] the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

28 Portanto Yahweh diz: Eis que eu entregarei esta cidade na mão dos caldeus, e na mão de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, e ele a tomará.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:

29 Os caldeus, que lutam contra esta cidade, virão e incendiarão esta cidade, e a queimarão com as casas sobre cujos telhados ofereceram incenso a Baal, e derramaram ofertas de bebida a outros deuses, para me provocar à ira.

And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.

30 “Pois as crianças de Israel e as crianças de Judá só fizeram o que era mau aos meus olhos desde sua juventude; pois as crianças de Israel só me provocaram à raiva com o trabalho de suas mãos, diz Javé.

For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.

31 Pois esta cidade tem sido para mim uma provocação da minha ira e da minha ira desde o dia em que a construíram até hoje, para que eu a removesse de diante da minha face,

For this city hath been to me [as] a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

32 por causa de todo o mal dos filhos de Israel e dos filhos de Judá, que eles fizeram para me provocar à ira - eles, seus reis, seus príncipes, seus sacerdotes, seus profetas, os homens de Judá, e os habitantes de Jerusalém.

Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

33 Eles viraram as costas para mim, e não seus rostos. Embora eu os tenha ensinado, levantando-me cedo e ensinando-os, eles ainda não escutaram para receber instrução.

And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching [them], yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction.

34 Mas eles colocaram suas abominações na casa que é chamada pelo meu nome, para profaná-la.

But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.

35 Construíram os lugares altos de Baal, que estão no vale do filho de Hinnom, para fazer passar seus filhos e suas filhas através do fogo a Molech, que eu não lhes ordenei. Nem me veio à mente, que eles deveriam fazer esta abominação, para fazer Judá pecar”.

And they built the high places of Baal, which [are] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through [the fire] unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

36 Agora, portanto, Javé, o Deus de Israel, diz a respeito desta cidade, sobre a qual você diz: “Ela está entregue na mão do rei da Babilônia pela espada, pela fome e pela peste:”

And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence;

37 “Eis que os congregarei de todos os países onde os expulsei em minha ira, e em minha ira, e em grande indignação; e os trarei novamente a este lugar. Vou fazê-los habitar em segurança.

Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

38 Então eles serão meu povo, e eu serei seu Deus.

And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

39 Dar-lhes-ei um coração e um caminho, para que me temam para sempre, para seu bem e para o bem de seus filhos depois deles.

And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

40 Farei um pacto eterno com eles, que não deixarei de segui-los, para fazer-lhes o bem. Porei meu medo em seus corações, para que eles não se afastem de mim.

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

41 Yes, regozijar-me-ei por eles para fazê-los bem, e os plantarei nesta terra seguramente com todo o meu coração e com toda a minha alma”.

Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

42 Para Yahweh diz: “Assim como trouxe todo este grande mal sobre este povo, assim trarei sobre eles todo o bem que lhes prometi”.

For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

43 Os campos serão comprados nesta terra, sobre a qual você diz: 'É desolada, sem homem nem animal'. É entregue na mão dos caldeus”.

And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, [It is] desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

44 Men comprará campos por dinheiro, assinará as escrituras, os selará e chamará testemunhas, na terra de Benjamim, e nos lugares ao redor de Jerusalém, nas cidades de Judá, nas cidades da região montanhosa, nas cidades da planície, e nas cidades do Sul; pois farei com que seu cativeiro seja revertido”, diz Yahweh.

Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal [them], and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
